Minimum of 2 nights bookings - thanks Rowlands is a self catering accommodation in the heart of the Highlands. Rowlands is a 4 bedroom cottage, sleeping 8 plus 1 baby. Dogs welcome. Large garden with patio, outdoor seating and storage shed. Rowlands has been completely renovated, extended and re-furnished in 2011, well maintained and equipped to excellent standards. Located in a pleasant residential area, the cottage is just 5 minutes walk from the golf course and 15 minutes walk from the village centre. The open countryside around Aviemore is just metres away. Aviemore is in the centre of Scotland’s great outdoors. Dominated by the wild Cairngorm mountains and surrounded by rivers, lochs and Caledonian forest, Aviemore is the ideal base for year round activities and offers walking, mountain biking, winter sports, golf, fishing and climbing. It is also a family resort, with swimming pools, children's play areas and soft play in the village and plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area In 2011 we completely renovated, extended and re-furnished our house so we can now offer accommodation for 8 plus one baby. We offer 4 bedrooms (2 doubles, 1 twin and 1 bunks) and 2 bathrooms as well as open plan living. We have chosen a modern and contemporary design for our living space, with all the usual electrical appliances you would expect and we have furnished our house to a high standard. There is also a high chair and travel cot (bring your own bedding). The price you pay includes bedding, towels, electricity and water - there are no hidden charges. We are pleased to accept pets by arrangement. We offer free wireless broadband throughout the house and all bedrooms have TV/DVD players with Freesat. Living/dining room area: The open plan dining/living room contains 2 comfortable leather sofas and dining space for 8 people. There is an LCD TV, DVD player, Freesat HD TV and CD/radio player. Kitchen area: the kitchen is fitted with contemporary units and has a fridge/freezer, electric cooker with a double oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier. Downstairs bedrooms: at the front of the cottage we have a king-size double (which can be converted into 2 single beds) with a built in wardrobe and an additional pine tallboy offering ample hanging and shelf space. At the back of the cottage, we have a twin room with a built in wardrobe and pine drawers. The downstairs bathroom had a drench shower over the bath as well as the sink and toilet. Upstairs bedrooms: the main bedroom offers a king-size double with windows on both sides, including a dormer offering views of the Craigellachie Hills; there is also a wardrobe, drawers and a changing table. The final bedroom has a full size set of bunk beds and a chest of drawers and views of the Craigellachie Hills through a dormer window. The upstairs bathroom offers a large shower cubicle with electric shower as well as the sink and toilet. Outside: The house is surrounded on 2 sides by a lawned garden, offering ample space for barbecues. Outdoor furniture is provided for dining or seating outside and we have also built a paved patio area with a wooden picnic table and seats for 8. There is off road parking for 3 cars. We provide a small shed for storage of your outdoor equipment such as skis/boards, mountain bikes and golf clubs.

The property offered excellent accommodation for us and our family members visiting Scotland from the USA. We all had a lovely time and were very impressed with everything about the property. It was scrupulously clean and all the furnishings were of very high quality. We all commented as to how homely and comfortable it felt, unlike a lot of rental properties. The lovely garden was a real bonus. We have spent a lot of time in Aviemore over the years and I would certainly like to stay in this property again.

Very cozy, comfortable and clean. Got all you need for a family stay. Not so close to walk to Aviemore center with young children, but it's a small town so just 4-5 minutes drive and your there. Communication with the owner was great. All in all a very good value for money. I highly recommend this place.

Myself and friends stayed at this house for my Girlfriends 30th birthday.. House is alot bigger than we originally thought with 6 people fitted us all easily and wernt on top of each other.. Nice size garden and driveway so our car weren't on the street. Had my own bike and had a shed round back for our use of storage that was padlocked. Nice quiet street aswell and a short drive to the cairngorms for a hike and a bike ride aswell. Defo didn't disappoint and would highly recommend to family and friends. Fantastic if you have more than 5 people in your party. Thank you very much Georgejames Henderson

We booked this property for a girls trip and chose the location for it’s proximity to the train station. It was a little further than we were hoping for but was a very easy drive. It is necessary to have a car in order to comfortably enjoy the area. The accommodations where lovely and Gary was very prompt with all communication. We would stay again.

We travelled to Aviemore for a weeks holiday with family .this house was just right for us ,close to the Cairngormes, close to the centre of the town and lots of Lochs. It was in a quiet area which we liked and was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and beds very comfortable . We would definitely recommend this property and if we return to Scotland would like to stay here again .

The place is exactly as advertised and provides a great spot for a family or group to explore Aviemore and the Carigorms national park area. There's a grocery just a 5 minute walk away, the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, etc. but make sure to bring all the spices, coffee, etc. that you need. It's in a great location whether you're looking for hiking shopping in town or beautiful drives. The hosts are perfectly adequate and give you all the info you need. Check in was a breeze.

Rowlands is a lovely house, very comfortable and well equipped and 4 of us found everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. Located in a nice quiet street, but still within easy distance of town centre. We would love to return for another visit.
