The outside of the cabin looked cool. That’s about it.
99% of it. Was unable to get in touch with the host, the cabin was pretty dirty. There was nothing to shower with (soap, towels, shampoo). The kitchens pots/pans were all burnt. I smelt very moldy. The pool outside was falling apart & the tarp over it was sunken in & ripped. I didn’t feel safe in the cabin or area it was in. There was dirt on every ledge. There was a dead spider on my pillow…

I had 2 separate reservations, one night after the other. I communicated with the owner
er as to leaving my things in the cabin & not needing it to be cleaned between the 2 days. He responded with his ability to refund 1 night's cleaning fee. He did not know how to do that. Can that be done via this email request? I would like 1 day's cleaning fee to be refunded. Thank you.
I came in quite late & had a difficult time locating the cabin in the dark. A bit better signage would be helpful.

I drove by with my friends car and she would have dropped me off but I did NOT feel uncomfortable to stays there for 2 nights by myself and without having a car, so we just left again. It is very remote and would not recommend for solo travelers.

Very cozy---it really had everything we needed.
The sound of the reverse osmosis water tank going off all the time---it woke us up several times.
Also, you need to tell people to rent a 4-wheel drive if they are to stay with you----the road (2 miles, unpaved, filled with potholes---should be noted in your description.

We walked in, turned around and walked out and left, forfeiting our one night stay payment. The toilet is in the same room as the bed, I did not know that till after I booked. That photo was not on the first page. There was no window on loft bedroom. Mosquitos attacked us as soon as we walked in. You cannot drink the tap water, the website should say to bring your own bottled water. No drinking glasses, only two coffee cups. There is no real refrigerator, just and electronic cooler.

I could not make it to the place and I got lost at night in the middle of a gravel road in the forest. I followed the instructions I had as well as google maps. I completed the same way 4 times but I was not able to find the place since it is not visible at night. I also called the property for help.
They made me feel bad for haven’t taken the right way and denied my request to come pick me up even thought I was on the hotel’s road.
I left to Hilo and didn’t get refunded. The property hosts did not care about my situation. They did not worried even thought I didn’t checked in, and knowing that I was lost and needed help.

I liked living in the rainforest in a camping style cabin that had electricity and hot water. I liked the sounds of the forest and the gentle rain at night. It’s great for those who want to experience rural Hawaii rainforest living.
A couple miles of dirt road can be difficult for a rental car but I took it slow and it was ok.

Cheap, quite and plenty of room
Location.

Value for money; the service. The host was very responsive on our request. They explained when the ceiling light cannot be fixed.
The cleanliness of the shower room.
The toilet is located next to the bed on the loft.

It’s cheap and good enough for 1-2 nights. It is surrounded by trees and vegetation. No contact check in and check out.
The location is difficult to find, the address is not existing in google, so it took us a while to find it in the middle of the rainy night. The toilet is in the bedroom, that is quite uncomfortable and inconvenient, being and open space, so you are pooping while the other person is having breakfast, pretty much in the same room.

Not much. The owners have an engaging preschool age son.
It was dirty, moldy, and the site is right next to a very noisy water filtration system. Yard is full of junked cars. Rental was full of mosquitoes-no screens where needed. It felt toxic to enter cabin #2 because of mold - sickening especially to anyone with respiratory issues. We could not stay there. We talked with the on site owners, who said they’d refund our money-and then refused to do so. The owners were untrustworthy, very cagey and difficult to deal with. We felt scammed by them.
The owners have no “Aloha “. We think Booking.com should remove this property from their listings.

The cabin was very pretty and functional, truly a little jungle cocoon! It had everything we could wish for. We met the owner and builder of the cabin who was very nice!! We had a lovely time! recommend 100%

The bed was surprisingly not terrible and the cabin had power, running water, and decent amenities.
It was very inaccessible down a rough, unpaved road, which was unexpected . The cabin had a strong smell of mildew and a flickering light which lead to a very creepy ambiance. The toilet in the bedroom was also very strange.

Exactly as it was advertised. Rustic, yet accommodating and comfy. Close to the park, off the typical tourist trail and out in nature.
The only thing I would add (maybe I missed it) would be salt/pepper shakers in the room and a potholder.

The rustic cabin was well designed and felt homey. I loved the loft and it had everything I needed. The Wi-Fi worked well and I slept well. The family that owns the place is really nice and welcoming. I would return!

First time here and strange animals chirping/singing really loud all night and one got in once or twice. Maybe seal off windows and corners of floors and walls better. But overall very nice.

Cozy cabin on a relaxing land in the middle of nature. Very secluded. Loved it.
Cabin was a little dusty but ok. We just were scared when I cooked and loud chirping/singing started and surrounded the cabin. Owner said not to worry but we didn't like that we couldn't see what they were.
