Our stay was pretty good except for the stairs.
The size of the place was very good. It was also.in a great location.
I am very, very unhappy about the fact that the stairs weren't lighted at night. It's completely dangerous and I'm surprised the city/county code allows it. I am going to call and speak with someone about it.

Bad
I was excited for weeks about my visit to St Louis, as my family and I have never been. I had high expectations for Comfy Suites at which they destroyed with a number a terrible experiences. This company lied to us first of all. They told us we could contact them on Saturday to ensure our “complimentary early check in”. We were told we could check in at 12, instead of 4 pm on Sunday, for no cost. When we tried to contact them, we were completely ignored Saturday. Until they contacted us on Sunday while we were already on the way to tell us that we could no longer check in at that time. Then, when they told us the apartment had to be cleaned, we had to send multiple messages to even find out what time we could now check in.. The apartment was absolutely disgustingly filthy, which is absurd considering we were told we couldn’t check in until 4 hours later than they originally told us. When I say filthy I mean FILTHY. The first 30 minutes my son was playing with bare feet on the floor. His feet turned BLACK in literally less than half an hour. Not to mention, our 5 year old was playing and thought he found a “gem” it was multiple pieces of broken glass all over the apartment. We were also extremely worried of the huge black rat trap machines places through the apartment. Whoever was hired to clean this apartment has never properly cleaned a day in their life. Theres no possible way the bedsheets were changed because they were also filthy. We have pictures of the filth in the bed. Thank goodness we brought our own covers. The dishes smelled absolutely terrible like mildew so we had to wash every single one thoroughly before we even thought about using or eating off them. Oh- the company did provide a Brita filter jug so we could drink clean water. Unfortunately it was also disgusted with something resembling snot all over the top. The couch in the living room was broken in the middle and not comfortable at all.

Cold, dangerous, don’t go
Absolutely nothing. Don’t be fooled.
Parking is extremely limited, first off you need to park behind the building in a poorly lit back alleyway full of trash and large potholes. (Which was full so I needed to park almost a mile away and walk back in the dark when it was 31 degrees out) I did call about it but the owner of the property refused to get in contact with me. Still hasn’t responded to my request for partial reimbursement, customer service could only say, after I sent them pics of the alleyway being full, “oh im sorry I hope you enjoy your stay” if you manage to park, you then go through a community backyard and have to climb 3 stories of loose wooden stairs bolted on the outside of the building until you get to the 3rd floor. Once at the front door I noticed right away that the handle was very loose and put on backwards, making it very easy for someone to be able to unscrew and remove from the outside. Once in the apartment I noticed the floors were very poorly redone sloping and very loud. To the point we felt uncomfortable walking on parts of it. They charge a $150 “cleaning service” yet there was food crumps on the floor, spiders in the bathroom, gum stuck to the bed frame, disgusting shower and so on. The rooms are very uncomfortable and small, their windows are old and have a half inch gap that can not be closed. So the rooms were extremely cold (the heater wasn’t warming them) bugs were coming in and the folks fighting in the alley along with traffic will keep you up all night. Last but not least the walls are extremely thin. The second, and last night we were there, people next to us decided to have a party until almost 1am which you could clearly hear involved a lot of sex. Not something you want your kids hearing. After reaching out to customer service again they told me that they didn’t manage the apartment next door but they would see what they could go. I’m assuming it wasn’t much cause it took a while for the party to die down.

Amazing location and convenient parking make this an incredible value for the money just make sure to address any issues
the location was amazing! Staff is super responsive when you have an issue. The apartment itself is nice and feels like a home.
I should have contacted about the heat sooner but it did not work and it was cold. The main complaint is walking up the stairs and the fact it was dirty was a turnoff as well.

Good
Nice shared kitchen, location is good, host did what they could to help us after letting us down with the first apartment offer they promised
Being referred around from our first apartment we chose through booking.com, which was down for maintenance, referred to another one, which was also down for maintenance and finally to the unexpected final accommodation ... however, the units were good and comfortable
