The location

There was no cleaning service provided and they didn’t change the sheets and towels on a daily basis. FYI, I’ve stayed more than 10 days in the apartment and they only changed once the towels because I requested it.

Apartment was very spacious and clean. Great facilities in kitchen and washer dryer was a bonus. Great value for money in Manly.

Beds were comfortable was the only positive.

I booked apartment 312 on Booking.com and when I rang to establish late check in - they couldn’t find my Booking .com booking and then put us in unit 5 in 29 Malvern Ave not the apartment (312) that I had booked on Booking.com ( not happy about that). In apartment 5 in 29 Malvern Rd both Toilet and handbasin in the bathroom both leaked water all over the floor all the time ( plumbing problem) Shower ran out of hot water in the middle of the day - had to have a cold shower. Kitchen amenities were sub standard. Overall a very ordinary apartment for the price paid and a poor customer experience Very poor instructions for check in and parking. Would not recommend Lotus Apartments to anyone.Perhaps Booking .com should review having Lotus on their booking site when they are not honouring the booking that you thought you had made.

Location in Manly suited our needs but that was the only positive note about our stay.

Booking.com advertised Free Parking but was told parking charge $20/nt (total $60) for our stay - had no choice but accept the charge as street parking was not available, so congested. On site (tandem) parking was not a guaranteed spot - only 5 spots which were overfilled during our stay. Was parked in by another car so had to knock on each unit to find the owner to shift their car. Old double hung windows without flyscreens were difficult to open and had to keep closed at night for security, pests reasons. Front door had to be kept open with chair to allow airflow and screen door caught on step, need to be lifted to open to get in. Inside unit was renovated but ceiling paint was peeling, old shower taps, run down building.

The location was fantastic - a short stroll to the beach. There were also some good cafe's and restaurants nearby. This end of the beach is also a bit quieter than Manly so this was good too.

The building was very run down. The inside of the apartment was smaller than expected although had a decent basic reno.
