Location was good and overall aesthetic of the house was nice

We had an issue where the dishwasher was broken before we arrived. We only discovered this when we loaded the dishes the first evening and tried to run the dishwasher. When we asked the host to help us get the dishwasher issue resolved there was little communication and a repair man showed up unannounced. He spent about an hour trying to fix the dishwasher, but wasn't able to. For a house of 7 adults and 2 children this was a huge inconvenience for us as it was an amenity expected on the property. The dishwasher not being available caused much more unnecessary work for us to clean the dishes during our vacation. Not to mention the dishwasher smelled due to the water inside not being able to drain. The host offered us a $100 refund, which we communicated was not an acceptable solution for our $4k+ stay. We requested late check out as we needed extra time to clean the dishes, which was not granted. Due to hurrying out of the house we left something in the property. The host said they would charge us $25 just to look for the item, not guaranteeing they would find it. Unfortunately this host seems to care more about profit than good customer service. I would not book at this property or with Vacasa homes management again. I highly recommend to find another place with priorities transparency and customer service. Luckily booking offered us a more substantial refund. I would definitely use booking again as their customer support was excellent.
