Cute little house, with flaws

Quaint, clean little old house, with comfortable furniture (the rope seat was a family favorite), newer appliances, quiet neighborhood (minus the neighbor's rooster) and close to downtown Thomasville. Good colors and decor, and the check in and out times were flexible. The host was usually prompt to respond to messages, and very willing to do what she could to help.

The living room was usually 10 degrees colder than the rest of the house. I wake up early, and I try to let the rest of my family sleep in, but the frigid living room made mornings uncomfortable. The front door lock automatically engages after 5 seconds, not giving you any time to enter or exit without the bolt extending out before the door is closed again. My wife and I are coffee drinkers, and the only coffee pot available was a Nespresso cappuccino/espresso maker, with limited cups for our extended stay. We had to buy coffee and a coffee pot, since we also couldn't locate pods that would fit this brewer. The host offered a refund, but I never heard anything about it afterwards. The hot water usually ran out before my two of my family of four finished their showers, which is odd for a house with 2 showers. The refrigerator is a new one, with an ice maker, but there's no water supply connected to it, so ice trays were mandatory.

Cleaning fee was very pricey and the bed sheets had not been changed! The perfume gave me a headache! I did not sleep at all!

adorable place to stay

Very cute little house. The area is lovely. It was close to many great restaurants. The staff responded to my questions or concerns immediately.

No coffee pods were left for specialty Nespresso coffee machine. They also requested that we use bottled water which they did not leave. Did not care for the towels were more like scarves and there were no wash cloths.

Excellent accommodation & hosts. Cottage is thoroughly stocked & very roomy. We will stay here again

The cottage is fantastic. It surpassed our expectations. WiFi was great too. We would definitely stay here again.

Only 2 things. It rained very heavily when we were in Thomasville. Having some steps or a pathway to the cottage rather than through the grass would be helpful. Cable TV would have been a bonus.

Beautiful renovated cottage. Very clean, peaceful & comfortable.

no curtains/ blinds on front windows. Grass needs a mow.

We didn't receive the key code upon arrival but the host quickly returned my call. There was no soap in the showers and no curtains on the bathroom window.

Add a reading lamp in the bedroom and some shades to be pulled at night and it would be super.

It was beautifully decorated and very clean. It was very quite except for the crowing rooster.

Better lighting to read by. Very dim overhead light with no lamps in the house. I like to read in bed, but could not see. I was not comfortable with no window coverings in the dining area windows. I like the windows, but at night I would have felt more secure if some simple shade could be pulled down for privacy, especially since the bathroom is in direct line with the two uncovered windows. I would feel better if a blind was behind the curtains in the bedroom as well. The curtains were thin. The lovely place borders on less desirable neighborhood housing, but it was quiet and I was not afraid.
