Beachfront Home with Pool/Spa! Private Island Living on 1 Acre! Located down a private drive on beautiful Manasota Key, this beachfront home property is on the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This four bedroom, three bathroom home has plenty of space for a family or two to enjoy the courtyard heated pool and spa, surrounded by the lush native Florida landscape. The large fully-equipped kitchen with island is adjacent to the family room (sectional has a sleep sofa) and outdoor dining on the beach-side patio A few steps from the patio is a waterfront deck with stairs down to the beautiful Manasota Key Beach, which is a private beach that has clear green-blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Miles of beach for walking and collecting shells, swimming, playing in the sand or fishing from the beach which is only a few steps from the house. The large combination living, dining room, and wet bar area is perfect for entertaining and gathering! Off of the kitchen there are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and another with two twin beds with a bathroom in between. Upstairs master suite has two walk-in closets with Gulf view, and another Queen bedroom/office with built-in shelving and view of the Gulf with balconies. There is plenty of parking with the detached two-car garage, and driveway. Manasota Key is not far from four major airports: Tampa (TPA), Sarasota (SRQ), Clearwater (PIE), and Fort Myers (RSW). The island location is close to fine and casual dining, beach bars and entertainment, and only a short distance to the mainland where you will find all your shopping needs. The outdoor deck or pool area is the perfect spot to enjoy your first cup of coffee to starts the day. In the early evening walk down to the beach with a glass of wine or cocktail to watch the beautiful sunsets. The house back when it was built must have been fabulous in the 90's for it needs a gob of tlc for what it commands in an evening rental, especially when you can only heat the "heated pool, by using hot tub", by the second to the last day pool was "tolerable to get into" without doing a "polar plunge".
Stayed in the rental Dec 21-29. and needed the full stay to warm the pool by using hot tub for the heater, as directed by the property manager.
Carpeting: disgusting dirty, was told its cleaned 2x a year but at the level of dirt and puke staining in bedroom/family room areas made me question. Chipped, peeling paint in many rooms. The house def needs a freshening. This isn't "my first big house w pool rental" and was "one of the worst" for the buck.
Now the house's location on the beach, beautiful.
How the house was seated on its' lot, that was beautiful too.
Restaurants in the local area were "good food" did some breakfast and dinner places. Not too far from stores, parks and the like. Uber allowed some to get to and from airport.
This would be a fantastic piece of property of rental if it was refreshed, bug control used and a bit more or the "rug cleaning"...my socks were black within minutes each day, so it's either the tile floors or the carpeting. When we arrived "old guests" stockpiles of shells and what not were left by the pool area and then on the deck by the Gulf of Mexico.
Bring EVERYTHING for this is a "minimalist place", make sure to bring everything.

We wanted to get away for my mothers 81st Birthday and this was the prefect choice for a beach gateway. The house is big enough for for a family of eight. It is very peaceful and loved that the beach is right there. We hope we can come back soon. Thank you Andrew.

What a wonderful stay our family had at this beautiful beach house. Right on a fantastic beach with a swimming pool, large house had plenty of room for everyone. We grilled out on the patio, overlooking the beach. Collected seashells, watched the sunset with beautiful colors. Our host Andrew was great. Also a great cleaning lady, Shelly. We hated to leave. But are already making plans for another stay.

Hard to find property in main road as driveway is not paved. Property is gated in front. Property is older home with plenty of areas to renovate and replace. Expected more modern appliances and newer more comfortable beds for price per night we paid. Cockroaches were noted on kitchen cabinets so learned hard way not to leave pizza box with pizza on counter at room temperature. Lizards were in upstairs room on carpets and downstairs, some dried up. Enjoyed a close stay to beach with direct access to sand in backyard but I was expecting more bang for the buck with this rental.

Pro: Location.
Cons: House is ill-maintained and surface “cleaned” when it is apparently clear upon entering that the house needs a good deep cleaning, as well as some repairs/updates. Below are the significant things we found during our brief stay.
Roaches and Ants found throughout house.
Hot tub did not heat up. Pool dirty; did not filter properly. Pool lights did not work. Had to request 11 lightbulbs for inoperable outside/patio lighting.
Stained towels and bedsheets. Carpets extremely stained and worn.
Kitchen was dirty. Stale pieces of bread left in cabinets.
Hand Soap bottles in bathrooms refilled with water.
Alcohol cans left in beach chairs from prior guests.
With such a beautiful location, it is a shame the house is not well-kept, warm or inviting. I understand not putting a lot of money into a rental but this was just too far below basic standards and general upkeep. I wish this property the best and am still thankful for the stay.

I could not get the dishwasher to work, therefore the dishes did not get cleaned. There was no hair dryer. May I suggest trimming the grass in the back so that the ocean is visible from inside. Also, have a rake accessible to clean the beach area from dried seaweed and such. We did enjoy our stay very much.

We had a great time in Manasota Key! The house was as described, Andrew was very responsive! The beach was amazing, the sunset views are the best I’ve seen so far. Great location!
The linens could use some updating and we definitely could have used more towels.

Property was poorly maintained and cheaply furnished. We were bitten to pieces by mosquitoes. Hot tub does not work consistently.

The home was neat and clean , with a wonderful view ! We had a geat time at the beach and the pool . The only complaint that we have is the flower bed around the pool was full of weeds . Other wise everything was wonderful .

My wife and i decided to leave the cold and spend a couple of weeks in the Sunshine State. We wanted a beautiful home on the water. This home met that requirement. Great location. Private. Clean. Overall great house. Although we had some initial issues with the Spa, Andrew was responsive and helped resolve the issue timely. The ONLY real issue we had was the Mattress and Pillows. We only used the Master Bedroom but both the mattress and pillows were subpar for the level of home. Mattress was hard and the pillows were low quality. Again, i want to emphasize, this IS a beautiful home and a great location. Improve the bedding and it's a 5 Star!!!

This well-appointed home has everything you need for a memorable week! The pool/hot tub was a hit, the beach was perfect, lots of room to spread out, and a dream kitchen! The bar fridge was an unexpected bonus!! We are a family of cooks, and the extra fridge was great!

We absolutely loved it! This house is so inviting and cozy. Fully equipped with anything you need and plenty of room for everyone. Location couldn't be any better. House is also very clean. The host is amazing, always responded quickly to any question I had and even let is arrive early. Check out was easy although we didn't want to leave, we will be back for years to come.

We discovered Englewood 5 years ago…this is our 3rd vacation here. If you just need to unplug and get away from it all then this is the place. Our rental house was clean, secluded and had most everything we needed. Saw dolphins, manatees, turtles, rays and the kids (ages10 - 47) all had the best time looking for sharks teeth. They found hundreds! We will be back.

Our family ages 18 to 70 had a wonderful time. It was so nice to wake up to the beach right outside your window. We enjoyed the pool and the beach everyday of our stay. There were many places to eat and things to do. We would definitely come back again.

Englewood Beach Vacation
Plenty of beach towels, it has coffee maker and toaster oven but for extras in the kitchen there was hardly enough, had to wash dishes each meal. Luckily we had family staying in places close by that had all the kitchen gadgets we needed! The house was perfect for a place to get together and beach and pool time!

Started our 2022 summer by staying at this beautiful house with my family, my brother and his family, and our parents. The house was beautiful and right on the beach. We even managed to catch some fish from the shore. The surf was pretty rough during our stay so the pool was PERFECT for the Littles and for us adults to start our day, or just relax in after a day in the sun. We enjoyed turning on the radio with systemThe layout of the house is a little different but we made it work. It would be a good idea to bring toilet paper as only minimal is provided, and they tell you when you book. I had a couple of questions for the host about early check in and access information but it always took a long while and resending messages to receive any response. Overall though, we were very happy with our stay here in this Beautiful beach front home. So many fun memories were made here and we look forward to coming back!! Thank you!!!

We were able to settle in to a clean, comfortable house with adult children and their kiddos. Everyone had space to come together, but also areas to get away from each other. The cleaning staff was so attentive to details and made our stay very comfortable when we had a buzzing issue. They were there to fix it in 30 minutes. And one toilet was malfunctioning and was fixed within one hour. We couldn’t ask for better. Best VRBO exp ever!

The back of the house has the beach and gulf, the front of the house has the heated pool and spa. The house was fully equipped with everything you need including beach towels, chairs. The sunsets were amazing every night. Plenty of great restaurants and shopping all within a 10 minute drive.

Beach chairs are terrible. Nothing to recline in and relax. Bag chairs that you use at kids soccer games are not good beach chairs. Balcony, not a single chair. Nowhere to sit and enjoy the beautiful view with a book or cup of coffee. Love this place, just need update exterior seating to make it completely right.

Everything was exactly like the pictures, we were very lucky to find this beautiful home for my parents anniversary since we needed it a pet friendly house. Manasota Key it’s a beautiful place, plenty of restaurants that even deliver. Andrew is a great host, we’ll definitely return to spend more time!
