Located in Slidell, this lovely house for $429 per night is a great choice for your next break. Bring the whole family and enjoy a peaceful relaxing stay at The Bat Cave - fishing and crabbing camp. We have the perfect spot for enjoying all the area has to offer without all of the madness. Our 3 Bedroom 3 Bath home is fully furnished and located on Hwy 433 in Slidell just 25 minutes to New Orleans and the French Quarter, and 20 minutes to Bay St. Louis on the Gulf Coast. Don't forget to check out the wonderful restaurants, shopping and seafood markets available nearby. Wake up early and enjoy a cup of coffee and a beautiful Sunrise from under the camp, where we have 1,500 Sq Ft of space available with chairs, BBQ grill and boiling pots for those crabs you caught off the peer (crab traps available for your use). We have a large dock for your boat and fishing as well as chaise lounge chairs to enjoy while watching the fish jump and other wildlife in the water. Sunsets are magnificent from downstairs or the upstairs porch with your glass of wine or beer before doing some night fishing or family card games at our large dining table. Other amenities include: - Pot, burner and propane for boiling - BBQ Pit - Kayak - Crab Traps - Outdoor games - Horse Shoes/Disk Golf Cage - fully stocked Kitchen with Crock Pot and Blender - Sheets and towels - Fish cleaning Station We hope you enjoy our little piece of paradise as much as we do!

Great vacation spot! House is clean and comfortable. We loved the large porch and enjoyed playing bags at night. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware. Camp Salmen is nearby and great hiking/outdoor spot. Host is very easy to communicate with and responds quickly to any questions.

We had a great time visiting family in Louisianna. There was plenty of room for us to visit and so much to do. The games on the lower level are awesome. And sitting on the dock was so relaxing. The house is very clean and well stocked and close to a lot of fun activities and hikes.

We had a fun time at the camp. We went fishing in the neighboring waterways, boiled some seafood, used the crab traps, played corn hole was a plus, and hope to go back for a longer trip.

We had an excellent time. The property was clean and as advertised. Check in was simple and we had no issues. It had excellent options for relaxing on site. It was also an easy drive to the city and local attractions. Excellent all around. Highly recommend.

While this was the first time coming to New Orleans this Arabian property was awesome.the house was very accommodating to the needs of 6 friends everything. Was beautiful from the sunrise to Sun down having the dogs outside? Just to sit in relax and feel the nice cool breeze. There was also things that we could use far as a kayak crabbing. We also brought fishing Poles. It was just a very private and nice touch to be in a way from home. Holes was very accommodating may sure that everything was in place that when we arrived. It was easy access to the property not having to scuffle around to make sure everything was OK houses very clean needs sanitized it had seems to play. Have 3 bathrooms 3 nice bedroom rooms? Kitchen was very nice came fully stop with all things that you would need as if you were really at home.

My husband and I took our son who had recently turned 21 with a few of his friends. They wanted to experience NOLO, but we wanted a nice quiet place to chill during the day. This place was the perfect place for just this! The dock was perfect for fishing, and even though we didn’t catch much, it was so peaceful and relaxing! We caught a few crabs in the traps provided, and we saw several alligators at night! The house was very clean and had everything we needed but food! The 3 bathrooms and washer/dryer were a huge bonus! The trip into NOLA was about a 30 min drive, and the Uber prices were reasonable split between a large group. Our host was great, she checked in on us and even notified us about a light/fan that wasn’t working that we weren’t even aware of! 100% recommended this place and will stay here again if we go back this direction!

We had a great time. The house was nice and in a good location… plenty of things to do in Slidell but also a short drive to other places… we visited New Orleans a few days and drove up to Folsom to the Global Wildlife Center, which was awesome!

The views and amenities were what sold us on this camp! Secluded enough but close to any and everything you could want! Each bedroom has a bathroom which was also a huge plus for us! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home!

We spent a week with some family friends. We fished, crabbed and relaxed. We also took the short drive into New Orleans on three of the days for some sightseeing, tours and food. The camp was clean and well set up. Collette is a gem and keeps great communication.

Excellent home base for New Orleans trip! The location had everything we could want. Driving into NOLA was easy and having this relaxing place to stay was perfect. The owner allowed an early check in and provided great restaurant recommendations. Take out from Kenney Seafood was our first option which provided nice leftovers. Copelands in Slidell was great too (more leftovers). We enjoyed the surprise King Cake provided by the owner. Sunrise and sunset views were beautiful and even caught a catfish one evening. Wonderful experience!

My and a bunch of my friends rented this place for a guys weekend. It was fantastic we got there around noon and the host knew it was a guys weekend and had 2 6 packs of local beer waiting for us. They we’re quick to respond to any questions we had and the view is even better then what’s pictured. 10/10 would recommend and stay here again.

Colette’s property was exactly what we needed! The house sits on a beautiful property right on the water! We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, crabbing, and playing all of the available games! The host did a fabulous job of thinking of the details (there were even phone chargers!) and included some Louisiana goodies for our enjoyment! It’s a super convenient location to New Orleans and the local Honey Island Swamp tour, as well as plenty of restaurants and shopping. We would definitely visit again!!
