California has been experiencing a severe drought and the area is extremely dry and the potential for a Wildfire is just too high to risk allowing guests to have an outdoor fire. When the fire ban is lifted and outside fire are allowed and they MUST be in an approved Fire Pit or Chiminea. If an outdoor fire pit or Chiminea is not provided, DO NOT under any circumstances gather rocks or other materials from around the home and create your own! This does not apply to the Propane BBQ's that is provided for your cooking pleasure. DO NOT use the BBQ for anything other than cooking your meal on, they are NOT intended to be used as a 'Fire Pit' and due to the propane tank attached to them they could explode by doing so.
