HIGHLY recommend staying at this home! It surpassed our expectations! There is PLENTY of room to enjoy family and slip off for a moment of quietness. Ron, our host, was fabulous! Very quick to respond if we needed anything and gave great recommendations. We will definitely be coming back to stay here!

Brother and Sister and cousins unite for a week of fun and games. Good time had by all!

This house is beautiful inside and out. We had our first family reunion here and it was a blast. It had everything we needed and more. Tons of room inside for the older generation to be comfortable and lots of activity spaces outside for all ages. Ron is super quick to answer any questions and was very accommodating. We will definitely be back if another family event is in Chapin.

My family stayed here for 5 days for my daughter's graduation from University of South Carolina. We were looking for someplace where we could celebrate and relax away from the craziness of downtown Columbia. Our stay was perfect. The hosts knew we were coming for graduation. When we arrived they had left Happy Graduation messages in the house along with treats. The house is beautiful, clean, and a perfect Oasis for a relaxing stay. The main bedroom on the first floor was perfect for the Grandparents and there was plenty of room for parents and siblings. We hosted a dinner at the house and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The screened in porch was perfect for breakfasts and dinners and the upper deck and pool patio were great reading spots. It was quite relaxing listening to all the different birdsongs in the backyard. Everyone loved the house and I highly recommend it. We felt like we were staying with friends. The hosts were extremely gracious and helpful.

This was a wonderful house with plenty of room and decor with tons of room. Great experience overall. Would definitely stay again!

The house was beautiful. The host was great. We did move many rugs because fear of sliding or tripping. The site said cats have been in the house, but there was lots of cat hair. Some of our ladies began having reactions to the cats. There were some soft boards on the ramp. Step downs from different levels had been adjusted but seemed narrow.. We really enjoyed the grill and outdoor space. I think we forgot to replace covers on grill and table. It was a very well equipped house.

Everything was as it was portrayed, the hosts were responsive and helpful, the house held our whole family (22 of us!), and it was a fantastic experience!

This home was awesome! When we first walked in we were surprised to find a coffee cake and sign for the wedding. They have thought of everything you could possibly need away from home. We had family in from Ohio for my daughter's wedding. Having this house made the stay amazing. We had a total of 11 people representing three families - five children five and under. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of toys and books for children. This became the extended family gathering place - plenty of rooms and space to visit with folks. It was a great weekend!

Perfect size house for large,mixed age group. Huge pool with lots of floats and seating. Few minutes to Publix and close to Lake. The owners have pets, cats and dogs so there is some pet hair. We were out round the pool most of the time and it did not worry us. We had a great vacation.

We enjoyed the quiet, private property and the pool was super fun! The house is full of comfortable chairs, games, books and room for all. We loved this fun house!

This property had everything we needed to have a great time together. The pool was the highlight, for sure. We enjoyed our coffee in the screened in porch each morning and the pool was shaded each afternoon to insure no one got sunburned. If you are allergic to pets, avoid the living room sofa. But, everywhere else is fine for you. The grandson loved the books and puzzles, too!

Ron and Joy were the best hosts! The house was great and we had the best time! Definitely would come here again!

Ron was able to accommodate our group of 7 boats with private ramp across the street. We all slept comfortably and had all we needed. Looking forward to another stay.

This house was fantastic for our family reunion! We had people come from all over the US and this place had enough space for us all. The beds were great and the house was clean. They even left little touches like notes and baked goods which were really appreciated! We were sad it was cold and rainy during our stay, but the house had plenty of space for us to enjoy our time inside. Would definitely recommend!

What a wonderful stay, Ron and Joy are super hosts! They have thought of every little detail! Their home is perfect for family gatherings! Our PA family traveled to visit with our SC family as we laid our mother to rest. Joy and Ron left us a wonderful welcome note, it felt like they were part of the family as well! It meant so much to us all. Their home is right next to the community basketball and tennis courts and they provide all the necessary accessories for multiple outside activities. The home is also right across from a lake inlet, community gazebo and playground. The welcoming front porch: cozy and comfortable with a down home cottage charm, fall decorations, flowers, and accessories. The front porch is perfect for morning coffee and front porch sittin’ and overlooks the lake inlet. When we entered, everyone was like wow! Ron and Joy’s home has that wonderful homey feel and makes you so comfortable. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked with everything and more than we expected! That made prepping and cooking meals so wonderfully easy, it was like we were at home. The Keurig machine was a plus, though they have a drip coffee maker as well that kept our coffee piping hot for those that slept in. Ron and Joy had an emergency first aid kit in the pantry that we thankfully did not have to use. The rest of the first floor housed a great little office with more beautiful plants and cozy sitting area. It was a great spot to go for some quiet reading. And games, puzzles, and cards galore! We couldn’t believe the assortment! Plus, books-books-books! There was no reason for anyone to be bored. Plus the upstairs game room was equipped with a video game system, foosball tables and more books, games and cards! The front great room was super comfy with couches and recliners and was a great spot to catch our favorite home teams playing, not to mention another great gathering area to just catch up with family. Each of the bedrooms were tidy, well-lit and well-stocked with linens and towels. It was a great touch that each room had their own towels, so wonderfully stocked in little labeled baskets. The owners wonderfully labeled the closets and cabinets where extras were located. The beds were great – everyone complimented on how well they slept. We had a great experience at Ron & Joy’s Lake House, it is truly a treasure and a great location for families – young and old, with so much to do and for those family bonding experiences. We will be back!
