The Space: Idyllic Ocean Grove is less than 1.5 hour’s drive from Melbourne, a premier holiday destination and home to magnificent beaches and the Barwon River. Enjoy the proximity of ‘Saltwater Terrace’ to all the attractions of the Bellarine, Geelong region, and The Great Ocean Road, at your doorstep. An easy 200m flat stroll to the town centre for the supermarket, shops and cafes, plus beach walks, swimming and surfing within 400m (a 10-minute walk). The 5-bedroom home sleeps 12 and is zoned for easy, enjoyable family living, with all the Queen beds located in the premier upstairs position, along with the main bathroom. Getting Around: Our beach house is within easy walking/riding distance to parks, shops and beaches. On and off-street parking available. The house is situated a flat 200m walk from The Terrace shopping precinct. Buses to and from Ocean Grove/ Barwon Heads / Geelong. Closest train station 24km away (Marshall station) for V/Line train Geelong- Melbourne. Ocean Grove is 1 hour 20 mins by car from Melbourne. Beaches - Our beautiful local beaches are just 400m away. Ocean Grove Beach offers family friendly swimming, surfing, and walking and is patrolled in summer months. 13th Beach offers long beach walks and waves for advanced surfers. Barwon River caters to fishing, swimming, SUPing, kayaking, and walking the shoreline. The house is situated a flat 200m walk from The Terrace shopping precinct, with plenty of cafes and restaurants locally, with many more restaurants, wineries, breweries around the region. Adventure Park is a great day out with the kids - just 10 mins drive away. Other Things to Note: The right hand side driveway needs to be kept clear at all times as there is a unit behind that we rent out permanently.. so the tenants in the unit behind can’t be blocked in.. the right hand side garage is also locked and not useable. Perfect location to shops and beach. Well stocked with equipment. Lovely upstairs living and bedroom areas. Clean and tidy. Secure back yard for dogs however no shelter when it rained.

As pictures showed, but even better. Really well equipped, clean and very comfortable. Plenty of extra bedding, and very nice furnishings and super comfy beds.

We had a family group of 11 staying for a 4 day weekend and this house was perfect. Beach views from the upstairs living room and kitchen, you could hear the waves of an evening, 2 very separate living areas for the kids and adults, comfortable beds, dog friendly, a short walk to the beach, cafes and shops, well appointed kitchen, 2 bathrooms, plenty of off-street parking, cannot fault this place, so relaxing, so comfortable, waking up to view of the beach from the big picture windows in the living room was amazing, would stay again in a heartbeat.

Short walk to off lead dog beach which is the best dog beach we’ve been to ( has fencing). Comfortable beds, nice shower, great view from kitchen, loved that provided linens ( although tea towels were useless and we had to get some that worked). Missing a few things we would expect for this price range- Eg olive oil, selection of teas. Issues- many dishes were dirty and our first load of dishwashing the same - we worked out that the filter hadn’t been cleaned and all ok after we cleaned it out, carpets are a bit old and take away from the feeling of luxury usually enjoyed with this price bracket, and the laundry lock didn’t work which was a bit annoying. The back yard is small and all paved but has lovely seating and is nice and cool with the beautiful tree. Something that I think would make the property more enjoyable, given the smal backyard, is to put a table tennis table or pool table in the garage and allow guests to utilize that space. Overall, a lovely stay, but for houses in this price range it was a little less than we usually get. Still recommend it. If owners would address the issues above I would strongly recommend it.
