Pictures do not come close to capturing the beauty of this place! Went for a girls trip, to kick back and disconnect for a few days. Enjoyed sitting next to the lake each morning, sipping coffee, and listening to the birds. Kayaked every day, and the spent every minute possible with my toes in the sand. It was obvious from the moment we walked through the door that the Allen’s took great thought into this little slice of heaven on earth. Hoping to return many more times, as this has become my new favorite getaway spot.

The property was beautiful as was the guest cottage. What a wonderful escape from busy downtown Oxford. The pictures though accurate can’t compare to being there. Just being able to relax and enjoy nature. Everything you would want was at the cottage and both Oxford and Ole Miss a short drive away. The hosts were warm and welcoming and left a detail notebook to tell you everything about the cottage and Oxford. After the excitement and celebration of graduation it was so nice to go back and relax in the screened in porch and listed to the silence of nature. My grandchildren enjoyed the kayaks that were provided on the lake and fishing and the rest of the family sitting out under the trees. Thank you so much for a perfect weekend stay.

The place was lovely and only about 4 miles away from campus but definitely away from the hustle and bustle. We hope to come back.

Kathy and Patrick were great. Beautiful well-kept property that provides such a relaxing atmosphere. The lake and access to kayaks and boat really makes the day! Had a wonderful time cooking out one evening at sunset. Will be scheduling more trips to Oxford and the availability of this property will be one of our factors.

What an amazing cottage on such a gorgeous piece of property. Its absolutely serene and tranquil, such a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Oxford. The owners responded quickly and were so kind leaving us muffins for the morning. The cottage itself is very well appointed and so roomy. Anything you could ever need was there. We can't wait to come back and. stay again

Fantastic place to stay, house, surroundings, location, etc. Extremely peaceful, feel like you are in the middle of the country, yet still very close to town, & campus. Highly, highly recommend !

We were there for a long weekend, including a football game. The property could not have been better. Well renovated and up to date, with an incredible lake, it was quite and peaceful. From the description and having never been to Oxford before, I didn’t realize how close it was to downtown and the campus. To have a place that amazing that close to downtown was perfect for us.

This is hands down one of the best Vrbo rentals we have stayed at. The owners go above and beyond to make it a homey experience. The view and access to the lake is breathe taking.

Every detail was thought of with this property. It was a relaxing retreat and we loved having our morning coffee by the lake. We will be back!

We stayed at this beautiful property for two weeks while my daughter moved into her dorm at Ole Miss and went through the sorority rush process. There were lots of moving parts and Kathy and Pat were amazing. We were unable to locate a few items we needed in town and they let me ship them to their address. This property is pristine and so therapeutic. It’s so much better in person then the pictures can depict. I cannot wait for the opportunity to stay at this beautiful property again.

Our experience with this property was amazing! We wanted a place that was quiet and away from crowds but close to restaurants and shopping. We followed several restaurant and shopping recommendations from our hosts and were NOT disappointed. Thank you for going above and beyond!!

It is very hard to pick the right words to describe this property. It is beautiful, serene, quiet, very well maintained, much more than we could have expected. It is secluded but close to the university and all amenities we were looking for. Kathy and Patrick are wonderful hosts! They are nearby and more than eager to make your stay as great as it can possibly be. This cottage is in a scenic location with beautiful lake and woods yet so close to Oxford. Lots of seating areas at lake. Cottage is beautiful and has so many thoughtful touches which makes more like home. Kitchen extremely well equipped. Owners available and nearby but not obtrusive. We went to LB Meat Market nearby and bought food to grill and owners had gas grill available immediately. We will book again.
