NO PETS/ NON-SMOKING The Space: As you drive up to Chisum Trail Cabin, you'll immediately notice it's picturesque setting, surrounded by tall pines. This stately mountain lodge style home exudes rustic charm with it's wood and stone accents and embraces nature with great outdoor decks and spaces to take advantage of it's quiet surroundings. The gravel circle driveway has plenty of parking space, easily accessed, and level to the street making it a breeze to get in and out year round. There is 1 step up to the pathway and 5 steps up to the front covered deck, a great spot to sit and relax and watch the abundant wildlife. Once you walk thru the front door you're greeted by towering vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows with views of the treetops and big blue skies. The main gathering space is the perfect setting for entertaining family and friends for movie night or getting together to watch the big game! Featuring all new mountain chic décor and furnishings with big comfy sectional and chairs, a stone gas fireplace, big screen TV, and a wet bar area! There also a great game table for extra seating and a storage nook under the staircase houses lots of games for the whole family. From the living room the floorplan flows nicely into the dining area with beautiful new farm table and plenty of seating for everyone. Large windows bring in lots of natural light. The door off the dining area leads out to the massive deck spaces outside, a fantastic spot to kick back and relax in the cool breezes watching the sway of the tall ponderosas. There's a propane gas grill and dining and bistro tables ready for everyone to gather round and enjoy a family meal. In the evenings, you'll want to hang out by the fire pit and be amazed by the countless stars in the night sky. Back inside, the eat-in kitchen features lots of counter space for prep and serving and has seating for 3. All new stainless steel appliances include a gas range with oven, dishwasher, and microwave. The kitchen is stocked with Keurig and a drip coffee maker and just about everything you'll need to prepare meals, just bring the groceries! There's a convenient pantry and large laundry/ mud room with washer and dryer just off the kitchen. There's also a small desk/ office space and a door that leads out to the front deck. The primary suite is on the main level and accessed off the kitchen. All new furnishings and king size bed with new bedding create a cozy and welcoming space to rest after a busy day out on the town. This spacious room also has a beautiful armoire with TV, lots of closet space and ceiling fan. The bathroom has lots of countertop and storage space, double sink, and shower/ tub combo. It can also function as a convenient powder bath with another door accessed from the kitchen. 14 steps lead up to the loft area with seating and reading nook, making it a quite and cozy space to curl up and read or send photos of your adventures to family and friends. There are 2 bedrooms, one with king bed and the other a queen. Both bedrooms are spacious with soaring vaulted ceilings and windows that reach for the clouds, all new furniture and bedding, TVs, ceiling fans and plenty of closet space. ACCESSING THE HOUSE: The driveway up to the house is gravel with a slight incline then level. There are a couple steps up to the front porch then entry to the house is through the front door. The primary bedroom is on the main level, all other bedrooms are upstairs. Guests have full access of the home except for any locked doors which are for owner's access only. From mountain peaks to the desert basin, we have it all! Getting Around: Driving access is generally easy to moderate and all roads in the Country Club are paved. Some areas around Ruidoso and Alto are hilly to mountainous but generally easy to get around year round. During winter months, guests are encouraged to have access to 4-wheel drive and/or snow chains in the event of a major winter weather event. For extended stays, travel insurance is always recommended.
