A sensational waterfront vacation home rental, Young at Heart is located on a backwater cove along the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast. This home offers you the retreat of a lifetime. Enjoy the waterfront location with private dock, fishing, kayaking, crabbing and bird watching. Fire up the grill, relax and don't forget to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Bring your boat! A boat ramp is located at the community center within easy walking distance! There are also boat rental and charter fishing services available nearby. Of course you can fish right off the private dock too and there are a few kayaks, paddles, and life vests for use. There are a few basic fishing rods but you will probably prefer to bring your own fishing gear as well as bait and tackle. The dock is equipped with lighting for night fishing and a fish cleaning station. The home is in a quiet location of Gulfport near Biloxi and very close to beaches! By car you are only minutes from casinos, outlet mall shopping, island ferry service, dining and entertainment. Children will love the local parks with splash pads and the beach, or take them to the new Mississippi Aquarium, the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, Gulf Islands Water Park, the Ocean Adventures Marine Park at the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies, or on a Ferry ride to Ship Island. You are just an hour or so drive from Dauphin Island where lots of shells can be found on the west end. About the same driving time to the southwest is the New Orleans French Quarter. This home is also in a great location to visit Biloxi, downtown Gulfport, Old Town Bay St. Louis, local shops of Ocean Springs, the Hattiesburg Zoo and so much more. This home has a large covered deck overlooking the waterfront. There's a lot to do in the area but you don't need to leave the house to have fun. You can find plenty of relaxation right at home. There's also a park within walking distance with playground, tennis courts and a long boardwalk along the bayou. The house has been equipped for your comfort and ease of access. The bedrooms are separated and the guest room is furnished with two queens with tub/shower. The master suite is king size with private bath featuring a separate tub and shower. All rooms open to the second story deck with balcony railing and amazing waterfront views. Home is equipped with premium television with a huge flat screen and unlimited high speed WiFi. Flat screen TVs are also located in each bedroom. The home is appointed with quality furnishings and decorated professionally with a coastal flavor. We stayed for four nights during Cruisin' The Coast and towed our classic car. There was ample parking for the truck, trailer, and car. And the owner, Eric, even offered for us to park in the grass or his driveway (next door) if we invited guests back to the property. The house was really great. Very clean, new appliances, memory foam mattresses, big television, nice linens, and fully stocked kitchen. A safe neighborhood just far enough removed from the congestion and traffic on Beach Blvd. We hope to stay again.

I cant say enough good things about the house, and owner! The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we could possibly need. Mr. Snell was the perfect host, he greeted us shortly after we arrived. He showed my kids how to fish with what was available at the house. His precious dog Trace was a big hit with the kids too. He's the sweetest and most well behaved pup.
Mr. Snell gave us great recommendations on where to eat and take the kids for fun. We had the best time! If we find ourselves in Gulfport again I hope this house is open!

Eric, our host met us upon our arrival to ensure we had his number in case we needed anything. He provided great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the community.
The property was spotless and well furnished. We spent several days in the area and the location of the house could not have been more perfect for visiting the different communities. We really enjoyed sitting on the back porch and watching all of the boat traffic going through the bayou. We will definitely rent the house again for our next visit to the area.
This is certainly a five-star rental.

This was by far our favorite stay we have ever had on vacation! The host was wonderful and such a nice person! We never had to worry about anything. The host even kept us up to date on incoming weather and tide levels. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

This is a wonderful place to spend time away from home. In fact, it feels like home! Even though the weather didn't fully cooperate, there were so many things to do nearby that we stayed as busy as we wanted to every day. We saw two of the resident eagles, a small alligator a couple of coves away, and several herons spent time on our dock! Eric is always available for questions and he maintains this house very well.
And, of course, Trace is a joy to watch! Thank you, Eric, for another lovely get away!

This is a great place to stay in a truly awesome location, right on the bayou! We really enjoyed staying here for a short get-away. Fishing off our own pier was fun (caught a flounder and a stingray!). Would definitely come back! Eric was super friendly and very helpful and accessable.

We came here behind a massive freeze to hang out with friends and catch fish... but the weather was brutal before the arrival, so fishing was moderate (we caught a great mess of channel cats and drums). Property was excellent-- great for 2 couples and a few kids. Eric was onsite (lives next door!) and fixed our grill instantly (probably something dumb we did). The property is great. Access easy. Location perfect to escape the casino bustle but excellent access to food and shopping. Great dock for pontoon!! Loved it.

This property exceeded my expectations and was the best VRBO I've stayed at in the past 5 years. The property was very clean, spaciously decorated (i.e. room to move around without a lot of collectables and other decorative items everywhere). The decor was beautiful as well as the views overlooking the bay. A comfortable king bed, like new washer/dryer, beautiful and modern kitchen, a stunning deck with comfortable seating overlooking the ocean inlet, a relaxing soaker tub - just everything one would need for a relaxing stay. The location is nice and eclectic, close to grocery shopping. I did short trips to Ocean Springs, Long Beach, Pass Christian, Gautier, Biloxi, and Bay St. Louis - all were easy beautiful drives along the coast (or you could take a faster highway to arrive at these locations even faster). I visited primarily for Christmas on the Bayou, a beautiful night-time boat parade that went right past the house - I was able to watch from the deck and it was lovely! Great host too, very helpful and friendly. I need to research other fun events in the area so I can return!

This place feels like home - the kitchen has anything you need (we cooked often and found anything we needed already there), the beds were wonderful, lovely decor, and even a dog yard if you need it. The host was a treasure, the best we have ever had on VRBO. He can tell you where to eat, and where to shop! Having access to our own private dock was priceless, and the area was perfect for kayaking, even for the "less experienced" of us. We fished from dusk 'til dawn, and caught brim, bass, flounder, catfish, and even managed a few crabs we could cook for dinner. Whether having coffee on the back deck while watching the eagles play, or listening to the resident heron announce his dismay at our presence on his turf, the mornings will remain etched in our memory for years to come. The sunsets were different, and marvelous, every evening - especially from the view of a morning kayak drift. Many seem to avoid the beach during this time of the year, but we found it to be one of our favorites. We hope to come back again. Five stars all around.

This is a hidden oasis in the spectacle of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. If you enjoy quiet family time and enjoy paddling or fishing, this is the place. The host is super helpful and responsive. We will be coming back.

We had a great time! The house and yard were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Loved the fenced in yard for our small dog. The pier was wonderful, especially the lights for nighttime fishing. The owner was super helpful and very nice. We would gladly stay again in the future!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Our kids absolutely loved having the doc right out the back door! It was a great experience for them. The home is very clean well maintained. Eric is an unbelievable host! He made us feel welcome and was available any time we needed something or had questions. Gulf Port is such a great quiet place to escape to, but this home made the experience for us.

Amazing Stay! Would do it again and again.
Our stay was fantastic!
We started our trip with watching our boys kayak and fish while we sipped cocktails from the deck while the sun slowly set. It was fantastic.
The spacious two bedroom two bath beach house was the perfect relaxing getaway after days full of doing all the tourist things.
We loved the covered deck for our morning coffee time and to grill a yummy dinner when we were tired of eating out.
The owner was next door during our trip and very friendly. He made our stay so easy.
We would definitely stay again.

The home had one of the best equipped kitchens I have ever been to. The pups enjoyed the fenced yard and just hanging on the porch. We took a trip to New Orleans one day to the WWII National Museum - that was very worthwhile. We also rented a pontoon boat and explored the various coves and went to Deer Island. We enjoyed Gulfport beach as you can park close and it is not far to carry stuff! So much to see and do. We all hated to leave, and I know we’ll be back.

Fabulous Mini Vacation!
What a wonderful mini vacation! The property was conveniently located to everything we needed. Property was clean, comfortable and perfect for us and our two Yorkies. The owner was gracious, helpful with ideas and things to do. We are spoiled when it comes to beds because we have a memory foam mattress that we love. Master bedroom had a fabulous memory foam mattress that was perfect. FYI: The “Walmart Neighborhood Grocery” is less than a mile away and takes “Pickup Orders!!” Plenty of general supplies and spices were supplied, that will get you through the first day there. There is a single serve maker/coffee pot at the property. The small “Doggie Yard” was perfect for keeping our small babies safe. The whole experience was fabulous and the Alan Jackson concert was the “Cherry on top of our Cake” for the weekend!! Thanks Again Eric and we look forward to coming back soon!

After 46 long rough months of Chemo me n my family was finally able to get away for a few days to enjoy so very much needed time to relax n enjoy being together with out me being sick non stop. The getaway was lovely n peaceful n so relaxing. And it was a joy to meet a new friend along the way the new owner Mr. Eric.such a very nice man.We rented from the other owners but this was our first with the new owner n he made our stay extra nice by being so helpful n nice. Incredible piece of heaven
We came from FL to visit with family and put our new boat in the water. We couldn't have wished for a better place to enjoy family, relax, and take in the view. Boat malfunctioned and we weren't able to enjoy water but we will try it again.
Eric has attended to every need in his home. He was very helpful from our first phone conversation. We enjoyed our stay so much that we've booked it for another 4 days in April to enjoy with our kids. Thank you so much Eric for allowing us to share your view and your incredible property!
