Overall, the stay was fine. It’s a cute space, and fairly easy to manage access to building and parking is not far away. After a tiring day of travel, we walked into the unit and the heat was blasting in the mid eighties. The smart thermostat wasn’t responding to us, so the property mgr, Andrew, reset it remotely. It worked after that. The login information for the Wi-Fi was not accurate. The sign gave a handle of “Mad Men Condo”, but after some trying we figured out it was “Mad Men Loft”. Not a big deal, it eventually worked.During my travel prior to arriving at the rental, I had been staying in an area with no reception. I’d previously informed Andrew of this, asking for advance instructions for access to the property so that I wouldn’t feel rushed. My son has autism, so I normally have my hands full.I looked over the check-in information while pumping gas, and took a screenshot of the information. Apparently I missed a small paragraph re: the parking pass only working at one of the nearby garages. The parking pass: it’s very small, like a credit card. The instructions said it would be located on the kitchen counter under the Wi-Fi sign and under the hook where the trash key is located. It wasn’t there. I contacted Andrew via text a few times… he responded to say he’d check in with the cleaning service to verify where they had left it. Apparently it was left next to remotes on the stereo.That was fine. I had trouble locating it initially because the only “stereo” with remotes I saw were located on the TV stand. There’s a second stereo that is much smaller, a prop, and was mostly hidden behind the open laundry room door. I wasn’t upset with Andrew at any juncture, until he called me to berate me over my apparent lack of attention to his instructions. I was sitting in my car, a few hours after arrival, and was about to go find the parking garage. The last thing I expected (especially when paying so close to a grand per night) was for my phone to ring with an egotistical narcissist on the other end attempting to give me a verbal dressing down. I’m not a child, but a client. It was beyond rude. It was unnecessary and unprofessional. Despite what I have going on in my life that creates added stress, there was absolutely no reason for Andrew Mansfield to speak to me as he did. I laughed it off because he sounded so absurd. However, he should know better than to insult a client.

Didn’t get checkin information and missed our first night staying in location! No apology from property manager or anything. Just offered to stay an additional night which we couldn’t do. Property itself was okay once we got in, but there was a few things. Only 1 tv, couch is horrible, mildew shower head, can hear everything outside and above when someone just walks! Salem was wonderful though! Would go back but not stay here again!

This condo was not only in the center of Salem but also just a very cool place to stay. The location was everything, we could walk almost anywhere we wanted within 10 minutes. Beds were very comfortable, condo was spacious! Only negative was our check in info was sent very late and I started panicking thinking "where are we going to stay tonight if I don't get this info?". The property manager did finally send me the details, this may just be a new property manager still figuring it all out. So glad it all worked out because we had an amazing stay!
