When you’re ready to venture out, it’s a short drive to the heart of Damariscotta as well as charming cities on the coast. Newly renovated, this two-story home delivers chic design and an inviting layout. Highlights include upscale furnishings, a luxe kitchen, and a wood-burning fireplace. Dock details: Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. We enjoyed our stay in Newcastle. The location was great, and the home was beautiful! Would definitely return to enjoy the lake. There we plenty of amenities and everyone was comfortable.

The house was great, very clean and comfortable mattresses. The upstairs bed frame (bedroom with queen, lakeside) was quite squeaky and affected our sleep. We missed the driveway about three times as the mailbox is between two drives and the driveway is very hard to see. A sign, reflector or something would be super helpful! We could not find any coffee carafes (there were two coffee makers) so we opted to order a coffee box from Dunkin Donuts. After a few texts with property management we found out it had been reported broken but had not been replaced. One was never delivered so we decided to buy a coffee maker and left it at the house. That was a little disappointing (just not something you want to deal with while on vacation). The lake was beautiful and proximity to town was nice. We would recommend the house but expected more from the management company.

This is a lovely home with everything you'll need for a stay in the Midcoast. The house is big, the furniture is comfortable, all the bathrooms are great, the deck is huge, and the kitchen is well-equipped. As others have said, another AC unit would be useful upstairs--it definitely got a bit toasty in the two big bedrooms. Our biggest issue was the view to the lake--the undergrowth and saplings need to be thinned out so you can see and engage with the water more. It's such a lovely spot on the lake--quiet and private--it's a shame it can't be seen from the house more. But overall, this is a great property in a good location. We'd certainly come again.

The house was amazing; very well decorated and kept. Everything was in working order and the place was spotless when we arrived. The pictures don’t do the location justice. The view of the lake is great, the deck is enormous and my kids had a great time exploring the lot leading down to the water.

This is our second fall renting this house. There is nothing like sitting on the deck or dock at this lovely property. It would be wonderful if we could move the road that goes around the corner on the other side of the trees (trucks have to downshift), but that aside, the lake is generally incredibly peaceful. The inside of the house is well-equipped and beautifully decorated. There was room for our two guests who stayed a couple of nights with us, and they felt as comfortable as we did. Really appreciated the owners keeping the dock up into October for us. We have loved the location for all the side trips we have wanted to take over the past two years.

Newcastle Lake House is a well-appointed home with great living space, bedrooms, and kitchen for family use. The deck and view are lovely and the location is perfect to enjoy Damariscotta and take an easy drive to Boothbay, New Harbor and Round Pond areas. We wouldn't hesitate to rent this house again--a wonderful experience start to finish! Clear and some check in and check out instructions are an added bonus!

We had a wonderful time at this house! We had 10 girls for a long weekend and the house was beautiful, there was plenty of room, the deck was spacious and the dock access was perfect. We will definitely be saving this location for future trips !

Chandler was amazing! She came to the property the next day after we arrived and did everything she could to fix the problems and was patient and understanding. However, the excellent service stopped there. Our dishwasher stopped working and we were told it could not be repaired during our stay because servicemen were in short supply. We had no use of the dishwasher and had to wash everything by hand. We were surprised that your company did not have skilled personnel to take care of this. When we asked for a late check out all we got was excuses and delays and promises. Every time I sent a text message I would get back an automatic reply as if no one was really paying attention to us. We finally got an answer that they would charge us $40 to check out at noon instead of 10 AM. No consideration was given to us for all of the inconvenience that we suffered. A very disappointing experience other than working with Chandler who is an asset to your company. The property was extremely clean and beautiful. However, I think it is important for guests to know that the road is close by and there is a lot of road noise even at the back of the house. Also, the house behind us was being renovated and that was also occasionally disruptive. That was something that should’ve been disclosed in the property description to prospective guests.

We had a great experience. The property has really comfortable and easy to get to. Not too far from town. It didn't feel too isolated but still felt like we had our space. Recommendations: The property had 1 tv in the shared space, which is tough when you are in a bigger party. Also, a couple rooms can get a bit hot because they don't have a mini split, but most were fine. Overall, we would recommend.

Overall great place with everything you need, just the smell kind of made it tough at times, but would clear out in 15 minutes after shower use with opened windows...luckily is was cool (October), but not cold outside.
