Close to everything we wanted

This house was wonderful. Great location. Just a short walk to the beach. Really close to grocery store and restaurant’s they are just right across the highway from the house. I would come back and stay in this house again.

Home is as advertised. The emails with all the codes made us feel like we were 15 years old. I’m 78! The threatening like do this but not before this time do that but not until you do this. Home was clean except for grill that hadn’t been cleaned for a long long time. Kitchen had everything. You should supply dish rags and garbage bags

Great stay in Kill Devil Hills
My family and I went to kill Devil Hills for the first time. This house was in a great location. Walking distance to the beach and across the street from major grocery store. Inside of house was clean and well stocked kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Bedrooms were good sizes. Pool was clean.

Positives: House was clean when we arrived; all switches on walls were labeled, very helpful. House was quiet regarding being sound proofed. House well equipped. We enjoyed our stay!
Being on main road was negative, but doable.

Our Stay
Beautiful property. Pool and hot tub were nice. It could have been a bit cleaner. Floors were not very clean. Our feet proved that. I feel more towels could have been provided. Property management was great at responding. Property is on a busy road. Overall a nice spot.

This was our second year we went to the Outer Banks for vacation with our entire family. Last year we had an amazing time and realized why people go to the beach every year, we have been planning our second Outer Banks trip all year. When arriving to the house we were overwhelmed with the smell of mold. It seemed like the house was not occupied all winter and new cleaning service. The railings to the steps were sticky, there was mold in the bathtubs toilets and sinks, some of the bedding had what appeared to be sand on it. I would not recommend this location if you have younger children as it’s very close to the main road with lots of traffic. I did contact the realtor who did reimburse for the cleaning. I had purchased cleaning supplies that night to get the smell out. I would also not recommend this rental for anyone that has troubles with stairs as there is many stairs to get from one place to the next. My son just recently had an ACL tear and was struggling with the steps. When we arrived the hot tub was not working but we were able to fix that. We did enjoy the stay overall but was very disappointed in the rental.

The house was perfect for the whole family. We could spread out and have our own space. The game room down stairs was perfect for the kids and we loved the pool and hottub. The house was very clean. Great location close to everything and the beach was just a short walk, the provided wagon was a life saver!

We booked this property after staying in the one next door last year. We loved the location - just a short walk to the beach - but unfortunately that property was sold after our stay so we were thrilled to be able to book a similar property in the same location.
Unfortunately the location was where the value of this property ended.
The home was not as updated as we had hoped and was dirty upon arrival. The sheets had not been changed and the showers were dirty with soap scum and hair. One of the sheets had wet spots on it and what looked to be drops of blood. In the master bedroom, blankets and sheets were balled up on the closet floor as if the previous guests had left them there to be cleaned but they never were. The floors in the living room and kitchen were also sticky as if they hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival.
With the coronavirus pandemic in mind, we were not comfortable asking the property management company to send cleaners into the home to clean. We had been assured prior to arrival that deep cleaning protocol was in effect due to covid. Not only was covid deep cleaning overlooked but even minimal cleaning was apparently not done.
Additionally, the amenities and fixtures within the property itself were outdated. The televisions in a couple of the bedrooms did not work reliably and the internet could be described as mid-90s dial up speed and reliability at best. The router had to be reset daily as well. This was frustrating and disappointing.
We were also disappointed that the lone pantry in the kitchen was locked and marked as an “owner’s closet.” So the already modest kitchen was even more of a challenge because all of our food that would normally go in the pantry had to be left on the counter.
Being one block to beach access was great and we really enjoyed the pool area. Ultimately though this home was not worth the price due to poor upkeep and bad management

We had to wait to get into the house which was understandable because of the pandemic. When we got in, we wiped down common areas with Lysol wipes and many wipes showed some areas were dirty. We found a few issues and called Sunday morning and someone was out to fix the issues.

We enjoyed our stay at Lazy Days & Nites. The distance to the beach was good and having the pool was key with the kids!
Being right on the main road did prove to be much noisier than I had expected. We also were going to rent a golf cart for the week, however, because there was a small stretch of road that was on the main road to get to a side street we had to cancel the cart rental since golf carts aren't allowed on the main road.
The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed.
It was a great stay and great property but next time we will be looking for a bit of a quieter area.

The home was a perfect fit for our family, 6 adults and 5 children under 5 years old. The house, pool and decks were very clean. The only thing we didn't like was having to purchase everything we needed...paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry soap, trash bags, salt and pepper, etc. In the past places we have stayed those items were there from the previous guests. The check out instructions have you remove everything from the home. If you don't they will throw it out or hive yo missions. I understand not leaving perishables. Over all we had a great time, the homevwas within walking distance to the beach and continently located to all the sights we wanted to see.

We enjoyed our stay at Lazy Days & Nites. The distance to the beach was good and having the pool was key with the kids!

The house was wonderful but I didn't like the location of the home to get to the beach. Not knowing the area when I reserved the home it was located on the main road. I didn't feels safe walking to the side road that took you to the beach so we had to drive. I really like the keyless entry and not having to keep up with a key. I most diffidently will rent again through Beach Realty and now I'm familiar with area I can get the location that would make me feel safer walking to the beach.

We absolutely love the obx! So with that being said we could prob sleep on the beach and be happy lol! The vacation home was nice, plenty big for our family. But it could have been a bit cleaner and if your wanting a house with any sort of ocean view this would not be the house for you!it was a bit of a walk to the beach and it was very loud since it's on the main hwy. Our favorite thing was the pool!
