Our lower level (also down a small flight of stairs) includes our living room, office, and a second full bathroom, and is where the two workstations that have convertible standing desks are. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that: We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us. We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule. Parking _____________ We have a garage that fits two cars, with room for two additional cars in our driveway. We are located on a quiet street which also allows street parking so if you need additional parking, there's plenty! Entry _____________ The house is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door and on the door from the garage to the house. To access the house, enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock. When leaving, enter that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock. Extra Sleeping Arrangements _____________ Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know. - Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm. - Please leave your shoes at the door. - No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies. - No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky. - If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair. - Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help. Getting Around _____________ Our house is just a 4-minute walk from the bus stop at Hall Rd & Malow (the eastbound side of M-59) which allows access to bus routes all throughout SE Michigan!
