This quaint little river town has become one of the most popular communities in Minnesota where you can explore exquisite food and drink, an array of live music venues, diverse retail, antique shopping, and access to one of the most beautiful riverfronts in the U.S. The Capper's Terrace is located right in the middle of downtown atop one of the most historic restaurants in Stillwater; the Mad Capper. You, your family, and your friends will stay in a private, spacious, surprisingly QUIET, upscale two-story condo with TWO rooftop decks boasting expansive downtown and river views. All just steps away from the heart of Downtown Stillwater. The condo sleeps up to 7 people, 1 master bedroom with a King-sized bed, the 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and a Twin XL loft bed, and an upstairs loft area with a stowaway Queen bed that hides inside a bean bag (The bedding and bean bag directions ar located inside the chest). There is also a spare blow-up queen mattress available as well. For your convenience, our guests can order food from the restaurant directly below. Each Capper's Terrace guest (up to 4) will receive 1 complimentary drink at the Mad Capper. - Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is 11am - No more than 12 guests are allowed inside the property at any one time, per city regulations. - There are 2 parking passes that you'll receive when you first arrive, which gives you access to any paid lot in the city. There are other free and paid lots available if you have more than 2 cars. There is an unloading zone directly in front of the entrance on Main street.

Gorgeous home with great amenities and super clean!! Great location and had so much fun being able to walk to all shops and restaurants within minutes! Hosts very attentive and kind. Cant wait to plan our next stay!

The property was impressive. There was plenty of space. Every room was beautiful and the rooftop was magical. The views from inside and from the rooftop were great to look at downtown and the river. Hot tub was of course a huge bonus. Overall highly recommend this spot to anyone staying in Stillwater, especially if you're using The Loft event space nearby.

I stayed at this Vrbo with 5 of my girlfriends and we loved everything about it! It was right in the heart of Stillwater shopping and dining. Cozy, charming, and plenty of space. Although in the heart of downtown, it was really quiet inside. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a stunningly beautiful condo! The quality of the materials used in the decor feels opulent and the space is much larger than it even looks online. We were there for 5 nights for our son’s wedding and had small groups over to visit at various times. We easily sat 11 of us in the living room area without feeling crowded. Being in the heart of Stillwater was fun and parking was never a problem. Nathan was always very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this fantastic condo!

It was lovely. 5 women who have known each other for over 50 years. The place was spacious . Perfect for all of us. If you are looking to be centrally located this is the place. Only negative was that there was construction going on and we were not aware -loading and unloading was difficult. 29 stairs to get up to the place with luggage. It was totally worth it. Hoping to get back next year.

Property is amazing. This venue is a must have if you are hosting or going to an event at The Loft at Studio J, next door. Direct Access to the Loft couldn’t have been a better bonus. It should be advertised that way. The rooftop and hot tub is amazing. SOOOO much room to spread out. Able to host small breakfast and lunch for the wedding party in the large open kitchen space, fantastic. Beds super comfortable and all amenities top notch. Just a superb property-10/10

Our family loved our stay. It was clean, comfortable and the location was perfect. The only downside for some might be the stairs up to the apartment but it was worth it. I would absolutely book this place again!

Great stay in a great location. The property was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the rooftop patio in the evenings. The location was perfect for us ladies - walking distance to everywhere we wanted or needed to go. Would definitely recommend or stay here again. Thanks for everything!

Very pretty property and in a very convenient location. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy. The weather was beautiful and the roof top deck was spectacular! Lots of steps to get to the apartment, but was worth the hike up! Definitely would stay here again!

The absolute best location to stay in Stillwater. RIGHT DOWNTOWN! We researched a ton of places before choosing here and we are SO happy with our decision. The host was fantastic, the space is SO BEAUTIFUL, all the amenities you could ever need & then some. Very clean, a/c worked great, surround (literally every room) sound that hooks up to your phone, lots of space! Already planning our next visit here, highly recommend!

We really enjoyed staying at Capper's Terrace! After flight delays, we didn't get to the property until 3am, so we appreciated the easy access in the middle of the night! The place was gorgeous and welcoming. My kids got to fulfill a bucket list item of being in a hot tub while it's snowing :) We are from the area, so being near all our favorite places was really nice. We enjoyed walking just a few steps to grab a great breakfast and coffee. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of some things. As well as some things missing. But the owner was responsive to the things we were missing, and we had them within a few hours. Overall, it was great and we will definitely book again when we are in the area.

This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay for my daughter bachelorette weekend! Super clean, fantastic kitchen area, great areas to play board games/hang out & plenty of space /area to go if wanted quiet. We wished it had been warmer to enjoy the roof top. Walking distance to everything we did (shopping, eating, painting, bars) We felt very safe & it was extremely quiet. Parking was the only thing we had difficulty figuring out as we had more then 2 cars but found 24 hour parking about 4 blocks away. We left planning our next trip to Stillwater & staying at this vrbo!!

Great location for shopping and walking to restaurants and bars. We had a group of 3 couples and this property accommodated us very well. There are 2 bedrooms and then a loft area with a half bathroom The air bed on legs was very comfortable. Nathan is a fantastic host and very responsive. As stated in other reviews, there are several steps to climb to get to the rental. We would stay here again!

This property is amazing! Perfect location - We had a wedding reception at The Grand which is right around the corner. Plenty of space - We had the bridal party getting ready, flowers being prepped, lunch served and my kids running around. We were able to get it all done without bumping into each other. Comfortable - The beds were amazing, lots of fluffy pillows. Large couches, plenty of bar stools, and dining chairs. The master shower is incredible. The rooftop - best rooftop downtown. We got great photos of the entire wedding party with the fall colors and river in the background. Parking - the property came with a couple of passes that let you stay in street parking or the nearby lot longer than the posted signs allow. There were other weddings and an art fair by the river so parking was a bit challenging. There is a loading zone/15 min parking right in front so you don't have to go too far with your bags. I love this place and would stay here again

Cappers Terrace was fantastic! My sisters and I had a wonderful weekend. It was beautifully decorated, spacious yet cozy. The rooftop sitting area was a huge bonus with great 360 views It is the perfect location being right in historic downtown Stillwater close to all of the shops, restaurants and bars, and close to walking paths around the river. Great communication with our VRBO host, he was quick with responses and any assistance. Would highly recommend Capper's Terrace, we would definitley go back!

Three of us ladies had a nice stay at this property in Stillwater. It's right in the middle of the action and we didn't have to drive anywhere. It was clean and convenient and surprisingly quiet. Especially knowing there is a restaurant below us. The rooftop was nice too. Just know there are a lot of stairs going up to the apartment and then again, up to the rooftop deck.

Lovely place, clean, comfortable, spacious and perfect location. I would definitely rent this VRBO again. The only person this would not be suitable for is someone who cannot easily climb stairs as there is a large staircase leading to the front door.

This downtown Stillwater condo was thoughtfully laid out and is conveniently located on Main Street. It is walking distance to the river/marina, boutiques, gift shops, restaurants, bars, and a terrific coffee & bike shop across the street, called Green Bridge/Herman Bikes. It is a short drive to Willow State Park and Hudson, WI. The roof top decks are a welcoming bonus space with a beautiful view. Nate was very hospitable and promptly addressed questions. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend this property if you are in the Stillwater area. Thank you, Nathan!

We had a great time at Capper's Terrace! The loft is roomy and perfect for a gathering of friends. Easy to find, and a convenient, central location on Main Street. The showers were fancy and beds were comfortable. For such a big place, it was sort of weird that it only sleeps 7—and that's pushing it, because everybody would have to be doubled up and someone would have to sleep in the scary lofted bed with no railing! :) But, perfect for a low key party and for walking to nearby attractions! Parking is tough in Stillwater in general, but the parking passes were a huge help and we only had to walk a couple of blocks to a lot where we left our cars for the weekend. We enjoyed the Sonos speakers, ample kitchen space, ice maker (!!) and butler's pantry. All in all a great stay!

Stayed for 3 nights while in town for my Son's wedding. It was so nice to have space to gather family....the rooftop patio, upper loft, large family room and open kitchen (with every thing you could need). The beds were heavenly and the black out shades in the bedroom made for a dark, quiet night. You'd never know you are over a bar with a busy street below. We loved the Sonos sound system, the air conditioning kept up with our needs....bathrooms were roomy with great showers in both. Nathan was an amazing host, very quick to response to my message regarding check in. Parking passes and drink tokens to the Mad Capper were much appreciated. We found Stillwater to be charming...great people, great food., great weekend.

Beautiful place with an amazing rooftop view. We felt so "fancy". Great location and fun experience checking in kind of like a puzzle room but in a good way. We had a few issues with cleaning but the owner was VERY responsive and compensated us for the inconvenience. The decor and ambience was so cool. Artsy and New York loft at the same time. We had to park a couple blocks away and carry our stuff so just be aware of that and the stairs. It was fine for us though.
