About this resort

This cabana suite is one of the three exclusive cabanas that offer a sea view. The resort has a friendly, tropical and unique feel. We are sitting on the edge of the Caribbean Sea with the largest pool and a bar-restaurant and tour operator on site. Our guests can expect privacy as well as friendly, welcoming service. We are conveniently located at the south end of the cobble-stone road (the main one in San Pedro) right across from Mahogany Bay. We are located on the east side, facing the sea, on the serene palm-studded beaches of Ambergris Caye, with easy road, beach, and sea access to San Pedro town’s many bars, restaurants, shopping, and other amenities. And they are all within walking distance. Being just over a mile south of San Pedro Town, the resort is far enough from the hustle and bustle to provide a truly tranquil setting. Day trips to the jungle, cave tubing, zip-lining, diving, snorkeling, etc. begin off our pier located a 1-minute walk from your private casita. It can all be arranged with the tour center on-site - Eric and Ali at Guevara Tours have it all and will make sure you have the best trip - [email protected] +501 672-7559 Each private one-bedroom casita suite (550sq. foot cabana) is finished in fine cedar from the Belizean jungle. Features high wood ceilings, a living room, bedroom area, large ceiling fans, a well-appointed shower and bathroom, high powered, split unit A/C, fully outfitted kitchenette (microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, dishes, glassware and utensils), international cable TV (including all movie channels), each cabana has with daily maid service. We are located on the serene palm-studded beaches of Ambergris Caye, Belize. Overlooking the Caribbean Sea and a panoramic view of it, our guests enjoy swimming, snorkeling and SCUBA diving at the world's second-largest barrier reef. You can enjoy the beach while you have you're lunch and dinner at the resort poolside bar-restaurant. The resort also offers an onsite tour center that can arrange all your water (snorkeling, fishing, riding jet-skies..) and land excursions (visiting the Mayan Ruins, cave tubing, ziplining..). They can also arrange your massage if you'd like. Our guests love our resort because of a few things, firstly, even if we're full, you don't feel it. The resort is situated on a 5-acre lot, so it feels spacious and open. Secondly, nature here is all over, when you hang out at the resort you'll hear the birds chirping, see the iguanas walking around, butterflies and crabs. Thirdly, because we are a 20-minute drive south of town, we are away from the hustle and bustle and offer a truly quiet serene space but if you want to go to town its a short ride in. In our area, you will have grocery shops, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. The most important is the fact that it is very very safe here with us. We have 3 staff members who live on-site, and the neighborhood security company sits right by the resort and keeps an eye out all the time. At the resort, you can also rent a golf cart, or a bike, get your dirty laundry cleaned, get fresh pool towels, use the free wifi all over the resort, use the designated office space, play some bowling on the beach, and get any information you might need, right here at the reception desk. If you need everything, anything at all, let us know at +501 602-9029 , +501 226-4220 or at [email protected]

Do not utilize the tourism center associated with this property. Paid for a 4 hour snorkeling trip and received a two hour snorkeling trip.

Your excellence in friendliness, your happy attitude, and cleanliness was an absolute 12/10 service. Thank you for treating us like family! You were very welcoming and kind with a smile and open arms. We will definitely be coming back to La Isla Bonita to come visit with you again. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you. I hope you enjoyed the key lime pie we left for you. I would also hope that if someone else would ever need the aloe or rash cream, it would be available to them. Thank you for taking care of us! We hope to come belizeit with you guys again soon. ❤️

Location is quiet and clean. Cabanas were comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Beach area was not great due to the sea grass situation and we had very windy weather.

The property was very cute, secluded, not crowded at all, but because it was the off season, things typically offered like on-site breakfast, coffee, bike rentals, golf cart rentals were not available. Additionally, the name of the property is known as "The Royal Caribbean" NOT "Half Board on the Beach" so none of the local taxi drivers or anyone really knew what we were talking about!

The cute little cabins are all private cabins within feet of the water. Our cabin had a queen bed that was comfy and a living room complete with tv, Wi-Fi, and a kitchenette. The kitchen was small and had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot and upon request a hot plate and pan (which became essential when we tested positive for Covid and had to stay another 5 days on the island in quarantine). The property is located south of the town of San Pedro just about 1.5miles. An easy walk or you can rent a golf cart or get a taxi into town. We walked every where for the most part. You can walk the roads or along the beach front. There are several restaurants within a few minutes walk and town is full of options. There are many small grocery stores, a bakery and wonderful fruit stands located all along the streets and with pharmacies very accessible. There is a wonderful little bar called Toast right on property that we had many a cocktail at! The people working there were very friendly and kind. The food was bar food but very tasty. They had some kind of entertainment there every night from live music to karaoke and trivia. The beach front at the property is sadly in need of sand. It apparently was washed out and nothing has been done to restore this. I’m hoping this will be taken care of because it is definitely a draw back since we came to Ambergris for the beach! Otherwise the property is well maintained with an abundance of palm trees and beautiful flowers. Also something to consider is the Sargassum algae bloom which of course was natures deal and the resort dealt with as efficiently as they could. They kept the sandless beach pretty clear of it but the smell and the off gassing from this algae is horrible. I strongly recommend checking on the status of this during your travel dates so you won’t be surprised at just how terrible this is and how it can affect your stay. What I do want to praise is the staff at the Royal Caribbean Resort. We were treated like family especially by our very favorite staff member Miss Marcie. She greeted us every day with a smile and did everything she could to make our stay memorable. She saved us once we were put into quarantine by getting us water, groceries, had food delivered to us and even medicines. We will be forever grateful for her care and attention. The people on Ambergris are very friendly and kind. We did some wonderful diving! We dove with Blue Heaven and also Ramon’s. I highly recommend Blue Heaven!

Good place to stay but dark and quiet at night
Good place to stay but dark and quiet at night
Everything was fine about the property, the casitas are cute and are bigger than they look. The only thing is that if you are staying by yourself it is dark and quiet at night. If you are ok with that then this is a great place!
