Situated in Surf City, this charming house for $1,354 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This place is gorgeous ( a direct quote from a recent guest) Start with the extra tall ceilings and doors , telescoping glass sliders on both decks facing the ocean , and spacious rooms . You will find everything you need in this beautifully appointed , extremely well stocked home , to enjoy your stay on Topsail Island . The flat surface flooring , countertops, and lighting make this house feel like home . The Big Easy is Owner managed so you will enjoy great service with a nice personal touch. We provide beach chairs, umbrellas, wheeled cooler , shower towels (replaced every year), starter paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, high end linens, and a few beach towels if you forget and so much more. Enjoy your morning coffee ( 2 Keurigs, full size coffee maker and coffee grinder (provided) and afternoon cocktails with ocean views from the 2nd floor covered deck and coastline views from the 3rd floor master suite uncovered top deck. Beach access is a 5 minute stroll just .10 mile from the front door. The neighborhood is quiet with the relaxing feel of a small beach town with a park for the kids at the end of the street. Grocery stores , dining, and shopping within a 5 minute drive . The house is set up for a great vacation with 2 spacious living areas, additional seating on covered deck off the kitchen and living room . This beautifully decorated home comes with everything you need and MORE for a week at the beach with extras such as a crib, infant bath, small high chair , books, board games, high speed internet, charcoal grill, outdoor full size corn hole, outdoor and indoor dining areas, all within a stones throw to the beach. You will love this SUPER clean home that has everything you want at the beach without the sand in your home. Bring your dogs ( we do not accept cats at this time ) and enjoy the fenced in dog run . Enjoy the spacious private enclosed outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach . A hose is provided to rinse off your 4 legged friends, beach equipment , and fishing supplies . Views of the ocean are great in The Big Easy with windows and telescoping sliders on both the 2nd and 3rd floors. Lots of comfortable seating and lounge chairs on both decks make the decks a favorite for everyone . The 2 living areas in this home make this a great house for multiple families, girl/guys weekends ( walking distance from The Trailer Bar) ample seating, 6 TV’s , and 2 full size refrigerators . Indoor seating for 12 with outdoor seating on the covered deck for 10 , 8 additional seats under the house , and more on the top deck. Enjoy making a seafood boil or oyster roast with pots provided . The kitchen has everything you need to have a feast for your large group . Enjoy double ovens , 2 full size refrigerators, 5 burner stove ,microwave, LG dishwasher , and a fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs . The large kitchen island is great for prepping and serving your favorite meals . Pull out drawers make everything you need easy to find . Make yourself at home during your vacation . Laundry is no problem in this house with the extra large washer and dryer conveniently located off the kitchen . Basically all you need are your clothes and sun block and you are all set. This is great for people traveling longer distances or coming for a short stay , we have you covered. Minimum night stay is 3 nights . On the rare rainy days we have lots of board games , books , cards, and TV’s for great movie and sports watching during your stay . The covered porch is a great place to play corn hole on those rainy days while enjoying the views of the ocean . If you want to stay on track with your health and fitness goals you will enjoy the body weight scale provided in the top floor master suite. You will love everything the beach has to offer without the sand in your house in this spacious 3 story second row home with no carpet . . Plenty of parking for 5-6 vehicles . Make yourself at home at The Big Easy . We prefer checkins NOT on Saturday so our guests get to enjoy more time at the beach. Special exceptions only. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of The Big Easy with no carpet , only hard surface flooring . Air filters are charged monthly to help reduce allergens. Deep cleaning is performed 3-4 times a year with quarterly pest control , regular heating and air conditioning maintenance , annual furniture cleaning and so much more . My husband, sister, parents and in laws stayed at The Big Easy and it was absolutely perfect. The house is around the corner from a public beach access point, and has ocean views from both decks. The layout is spacious and gave us all enough breathing room to have our own spaces while also having large public rooms to come together in. We had one of the most relaxing holidays we have had in a while just walking on the beach, cooking in the massive kitchen and doing puzzles and games at night. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. All the beds were comfortable and the upstairs additional living space was so nice to have; we had some incredible sunrises and dolphin spotting from the upper deck. We will be back!

Our stay was fantastic! The house is in a wonderful location near public access and has a nice view of the ocean especially from the second floor. Check in was super easy and the hosts were easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our stay immensely! We’ll be back because we need a do-over! 😊 This home is decorated beautifully, not cluttered, the beds were comfortable, and since we had rain most of our stay there was a lovely covered deck to hang out on, tvs everywhere and a well appointed kitchen. Finding a dog friendly home this nice was a Bonus! Communication with the liaison and the owner was excellent and check-in/check-out was a breeze!

I wish I could give this 10 stars! Everything was PERFECT. The location is amazing, 2nd row and a short walk to the beach. The owners supply everything. We've stayed in well-stocked rentals before but this place puts them all to shame! And not just a bunch of old beat up junk. Everything was really nice! There was tons of space for the 6 of us (we were supposed to have 8) and our dog. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Lots of living/hang out space. Kitchen fully stocked. Everything seemed new and fresh and clean. And the house was so beautifully decorated! The property manager texted me just after 7 the morning of our arrival to let us know the house was ready and we could go anytime, and on check out day she said there wasn't a renter that day and we could stay longer if we'd like! Unheard of! I created a VRBO folder called "Must go back" for this house. Thank you so much!

The house is gorgeous, but more important to me, it is CLEAN! It was stocked with so many essentials, it felt like staying at your best friend’s house. Our family enjoyed the comfortable outdoor furniture (not grimy, rusty, or falling apart, but cushioned, clean, and inviting) and views of the ocean made the spacious decks one of our favorite spots. I have never slept so well in a vacation home. Our top three favorite things about the house were the outdoor shower, beautiful kitchen, and playground a short stroll from the house.

The house was beautiful and had everything we needed! A super short walk to an amazing beach that was never too crowded. We went for sunrises, moonrises, and plenty of boogie boarding during the day. We had perfect weather and a great family vacation! Thanks for everything!

This place was absolutely amazing. The description and pictures on the website do not do it justice. The host was great. When they say you pretty much need to bring yourself, they were not kidding. By far the best stocked place we have stayed at. They have everything you need for a comforting and enjoyable stay at the house and the beach. Thank you for everything.

I am a complete neat-freak and often prefer hotels to rental properties because many times, even with 5 stars, I worry about cleanliness of rentals when it comes down to the details. This is the cleanest VRBO I have stayed in, from the outdoor furniture, fresh bath mats, and clean cupboards…..I cannot recommend this home enough!

It's a beautiful home with high ceilings, an open layout, and conveniently located near the beach and stores. It also helps that the house manager and owner was very quick to respond to all inquires. If you’re looking for the perfect beach side getaway at a gorgeous house with everything you need to enjoy a day at a beautiful beach, then look no further than The Big Easy! The property itself is amazing and makes you feel like you’re on an HGTV show that showcases amazing beach houses. Jody and crew have the place stocked with everything you need to have a great time. It was so nice being feet from the beach and not having to worry about cramming chairs and towels into the back of a car. Surf City itself is a really fun beach side community with lots of little things to do away from the water and really great seafood and dining options. Up until a month ago I had never heard of Surf City but now I can’t wait to go back and checking availability at The Big Easy will be the first place I start!

The Big Easy was just as described, although the feeling of being close to the ocean was even better than we were expecting! We had a lovely view of the ocean from both the second and (especially) third floor decks, and opening the large sliding glass doors allowed us to hear the waves even when in the house. The home was immaculate, well-stocked, and extremely welcoming. High-quality amenities from towels to bedding to beach chairs made a huge difference! Check in was flawless and Jody was extremely responsive and kind in answering questions before our arrival. A true gem of a home and a wonderful booking experience.

We spent nine days at this house while construction was being done at our own home, and it was a great vacation. The house had anything and everything we could think of, from kitchen supplies to beach gear, and everything was labeled so well - there was no need to wonder about a thing! The whole family (including two teenagers) loved hanging out on the covered porch and looking at the ocean. The outdoor furniture was very comfortable and perfect for reading and relaxing. Having two living areas was great (especially with teenagers!), and the kitchen table was great for playing games for hours on the two days that it rained during our trip. The walk to the beach was a breeze and made it so easy to come back to the house for a quick break. The house is conveniently located to grocery stores and restaurants. Everyone in the family agreed that this was our perfect "home away from home" and one that we hope to return to in the future!

The "Big Easy" is beautiful home and very clean. The decor is gorgeous and the decks provide great ocean views. The owner and manager were great to work with and very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful home. The location with water views and a short beach walk was perfect. The home was lovely and no detail was spared. Anything we needed was thought of with great care from beach towels and chairs to all the toiletries. Communication and check in were simple and great. We all agreed we would happily visit again. Great communication. (No check-in day suspense!) It's the second house row of houses from the beach but near public access. The top floor deck is a gem. The only thing holding it back from 5-star rating is that the "Bunk room with trundle and tv" does *not* have the queen bed or double bed listed on the advertisement. It is just a bunk bed and a trundle. The listing should say it sleeps 10. Not 12.

We loved the two living spaces for adults and kids to each have a hang out space. Getting to the beach was an easy 2 min walk and we loved seeing the ocean from the deck. Beds were all comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and dishes. We would certainly return. We had an few questions and received immediate responses from management which was wonderful!

The week my family and I spent on Easy St was wonderful! The house was extremely clean and provided just about everything we needed. Nice beach chairs and umbrellas, as well as towels were available for the beach. The kitchen cabinets had almost every spice we needed for cooking. Dishwasher and clothes detergent were available as well. The main floor was spacious and had a fantastic covered deck with nice outdoor furniture and views. The upstairs suite was also nice and spacious, had a wonderful deck with great views of the beach. Speaking of the beach, it was an easy walk and not even remotely crowded while we were basking in the sun and enjoying the waves. There were several restaurants that we visited and enjoyed. All-in-all, this may have been our best VRBO stay yet. The family had a great time and it was everything we were looking for with our beach get away. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Big Easy.

This was such a beautiful house to stay at. The house felt just like home. Within the 1st hour my mom was already saying we have to stay here again next year. It was accommodating and gorgeous. What a real treat! Loved staying here in this delightful home just a short walk to the beach. The views off the balcony to the beach were also beautiful. The property owner also has everything you need for a day at the beach…it’s like a turnkey private beach resort perfect for the family or a romantic getaway. Surf City is such a cool little town with fresh seafood, plenty of bars and the water at the beach is warm and emerald blue! Highly recommend this house!

Wow wow and wow! I am so thankful for Jody and Scott for sharing their beautiful beach home! She was excellent with communication and we booked the trip 24 hours before heading there. Christine is an amazing house manager! There were kids books, a ton of board games, linens, toiletries, towels were provided. All sorts of things for the beach for kids and adults. The dog run was super cute for our little puppy. I will definitely come back with more family here. It’s a beautiful set up and not even 1 minute walk to the beach. You can see the ocean from the deck.
