Our group had an absolutely fantastic time during our stay in Sturgeon Bay - largely, in part, due to the hospitality of our hosts! Prior to our trip, communication with Anthony was a breeze. Hetook great care in setting everything up for our check-in. As first time visitors to Door County, that was a huge plus! Though we didn't utilize the garage for our cars, it was incredibly neat and ready to use.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lovely welcome note and gift. The kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms were stocked with all the necessary supplies, and the accommodations were really comfortable. We made use of all the fantastic outdoor amenities - the chairs, fire pit, dining table, and hot tub - to take in the gorgeous views of the bay.
From start to finish, we had a wonderful experience. We're grateful to have stayed and look forward to visiting again the future!

What a wonderful place to stay for our group of 10 from 3 generations. Beautiful home, well appointed, great location to lower Door County and Green Bay. Beds are comfortable, sunsets are spectacular. Tony and Anthony were excellent communicators and made sure we were well cared for. Highly recommend the hot tub! The master bedroom has an incredible view, but can get bright on the mornings. Already plan to return next year!

Loved the house. They provided a lot of little extras that were not expected. The property around the house is not as big as it looks in the pictures. The neighbors are very close.
We had many relatives in the area that came to the house and there was plenty of room. We were there for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. would definitely recommend the house for others.

This quiet retreat offers breathtaking views, and all the comforts you need and then some! It’s a short drive up the peninsula for all your dining, shopping and site seeing excursions. I highly recommend. The host truly has your comfort in mind. 5 stars!!

My family of 8 absolutely loved this home. The views were absolutely stunning. We loved the outdoor firepit and making s'mores. The house is very spacious and well decorated. We had 3 couples and a 20 year old and 18 year old. We all had our own space at night. Everything we needed was there, and the beds and sitting places were very comfortable. We had a great stay and would definitely rent again.

We stayed in the house for 8 nights for a family vacation in June - 10 adults and one child (3 yrs old). It was a very nice house, clean, well stocked, with plenty of room for everyone. We ate outside on the deck every night and sat around by the fire and looked out at the sunset in the evening. There is lake access down some steep stairs but not really suitable for swimming. We went to several of the nearby parks - there are some beautiful state parks with lots of hiking and swimming and also some great county parks that were very uncrowded, free, and also good for swimming. Hosts were responsive to inquiries and check-in was easy. Wifi was fast and worked well. Overall a great place for a Door County vacation!

We had a wonderful winter stay at this beautiful home on Little Sturgeon Bay! The house was clean, very well equipped, great location, quiet and peaceful. And one of the best things was being able to enjoy the hot tub on the deck, even with temps in the teens it was still super warm and comfortable. Highly recommend for small or large groups. Check in was very easy as was communicating with the hosts. We also really appreciated the garage parking. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

This is a great property and we would definitely stay here again. The deck and patio are spectacular. Gorgeous view of the bay, with a firepit. Very clean and well maintained home and exterior. The view from the master bedroom is beautiful. Nice stairs going down to the lake, but not really swimmable, as it's rocky and slippery. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen has all the things we needed for our party of 9. Leaves available for the table for dining inside, large outside table.
The only caveat is that if you will be spending a lot of time toward the northern end of Door County you will be driving a fair amount. If that is not a big deal for you, this place is ideal for a larger crew. The owner and property manager are very responsive.

We recently stayed 4 nights with our 8 adult extended family members ranging from 19 to 79. This is a lovely home in a quiet area just south of Sturgeon Bay. We enjoyed cooking meals and eating together in the evenings followed by sunsets
on the patio. The outdoor spaces are well thought out with beautiful views and adequate seating for all of us. It is about an hour’s drive if you are going to the northern part of Door County, but it was nice to return to our quiet retreat at the end of the day. The host and property manager are friendly and helpful. If your group is all adults, be aware that the bunk beds are short and better suited for children or short adults.

Wonderful Family Vacation
We would recommend this as a family friendly location to anyone looking for a jumping off point to Door County.
The location was peaceful & the view was great. The house itself was clean & provided instructions were good. Also the children's room had a few trucks, coloring books, crayons & a chalkboard which my grandchildren loved. One of the great items was the outdoor dining table which we were able to utilize for breakfast, lunch & dinner.
We did have some issues getting the lights in the basement to work but figured it out after talking to the owner. Also had a minor issue with the internet but again this was solved in less than an hour after a discussion with Anthony.
The grill was not cleaned properly by the last user but that was easily corrected. The fire-pit, which we did not get to use because of the weather, also had a couple of beer cans left in it. Both of these issues were minor.

Nice place, love the lake access and fire pit. Sunsets are great. Incredible number of may flies though (at least this time of year), so heads up if youre scared of (non-biting) bugs.

Great property for a weekend getaway
Really enjoyed our waterfront stay. A lot of time spent around the firepit and grill. Clean and comfortable for the most part. The bedding for the room with the bunk beds could definitely use more attention. First day we arrived there was an issue with the upstairs bathroom, but the property manager and owner were very communicative and had it fixed up by the end of next day. Overall, it was a nice experience. Would recommend.

Beautiful Home and Views
This home has amazing water views, nicely decorated, and comfortable beds.
There are so many fun things to do in Door County: touring lighthouses, shopping at quaint stores, sampling at wineries, and eating at delicious supper clubs. The Fall colors were amazing.

Beautiful house
The location and views from the house are spectacular. There are other houses in the area, but the weekend we chose no one else was around. Felt like we had the whole area to ourselves. Definitely recommend this house.

Great Door County getaway
We loved our stay at Chateau Karl! Owners and property manager were easy to communicate with and very timely in responding. The house is gorgeous: spacious, well decorated and stocked! They even had out great fall decor to help set tone for our fall getaway. The view is amazing and outdoor patio great for enjoying it. Living room/great room was nice for hanging out with all and the 3 floors of bedrooms made it easy for everyone to space out if needed. The view from the master bedroom can't be beat! Well stocked kitchen too. It’s a little bit south and out of the way but was a nice retreat after visiting the busy towns of Door County! Would. Definitely come back again!
