Property was cozy. There was not enough place to sit for the amount of people the house sleeps. There was a decent sized back yard but no where to sit outside. We were barely at the house so it was efficient.

The area has forms of public transportation but renting a car would be best. Uber and Lyft kept explaining to us that people didn’t want to come across the bridge to get us. We had some plumbing issues but our host was responsive and got those issues addressed. The house was clean and had what we needed! Ashley even let us drop our stuff off earlier than our check in time and gave suggestions on places we could go.

For starters, the owner’s home was beautiful. The owner was very nice by letting us drop luggage off before we actually began our stay. The location and house condition were both great. The walk to the ferry was about 20 minutes, which did not feel like it because it offered great scenery. There was also a lit pathway at night making us feel very safe. With this, there were also a few minor flaws. The house did not have central heating. Space heaters were provided but they caused the outlets to short. We lost all power from outlets in one room and one in the hallway. It was also pretty cold weather wise during our stay, so one blanket per room didn’t quite do the trick. All in all, this was a beautiful place for the price with just a few hiccups here and there! We would stay again.

The cottage was clean, decorated tastefully, and a 2 minute walk to the mighty Mississippi. There is a convenience store just up the street, and we walked to a local cemetery that was awesome. We enjoyed walking around and seeing the architecture and had multiple choices of places to eat. We ate at a small place called The Barracuda--awesome shrimp tacos! Whitney was very attentive and took care of any questions or needs that we had. Definitely recommend this property!

This house is in a great location. Easy access to downtown but far enough away for some quiet time also. House was clean, and exactly how it was described. Other reviews complained about the alarm system, but I had zero issues with it.
Ashley was quick to respond when I reached out for reservation changes and minor issues.
Every room had its own AC unit, this allowed us to make everyone comfortable in there own area.

The property is quaint and as advertised. It's a short drive/walk to the Algiers Ferry (park for free on the street). The ferry crosses every 30 minutes and puts you right on the Riverwalk. You can save a bundle by staying here with super easy, and enjoyable, access to the French Quarter. If you're on a budget, this is the place. You may have to deal with some barking neighbor's dogs and there are some houses in the area in tough shape but the people were absolutely hospitable everywhere we went.

The 3 bedrooms were perfect for our stay, since we really just needed a place to sleep. Could sit out on the front porch or in the back yard. Clean and cozy. Quiet neighborhood.

Me, my fiance and friend stayed here for a week. This home was everything we needed. We wanted a quiet place to rest our heads after LOTS of exploring the city and even a quick mini road trip to neighboring states.
I was worried at first with reading others comments about the neighborhood, but there were no issues at all. It may not be "The Hamptons" but it's quiet, the neighbors were nice, we had a few conversations with 2 next door. They welcomed us and suggested places to try and said good morning whenever they seen us. The neighbors across the street waved and said hi, and we got to meet another walking his 2 puppies who let us pet and play with them for a few minutes. All 3 of us who stayed at the house are huge dog lovers, we even went and volunteered to walk dogs at Villalobos Dog Rescue during our stay.
I also was worried with the alarm after reading previous comments. But again, no issues. Just pay attention to instructions the owner sends. It did take us an extra attempt our first time in the home, as we pushed the wrong X (there's a plain X and an X surrounded by a sheild), but quickly realized our mistake and got it the second time.
As far as getting to the French Quarter, we bought an RTA pass for the week we were there and used that to ride the walk-on ferry across. We used it for the trolly in the city as well. This was so much easier and cheaper than parking in the city. This home is literally a 3-4 minute drive to the ferry terminal, so that was a plus. Just check the ferry schedule!! We did miss the last ferry on 2 occasions and had to Uber back, but still cheaper than city parking.
All in all, stay was great, home was clean, neighborhood was fine, no issues with the alarm. We had enough TP, paper towels, bath towels, etc. Host was responsive. Water was always hot for showers even with 3 of us showering one after another. I do wish there was maybe a small table and/or chairs in the backyard. We hung out back there for a while, but sat on the stairs and concrete pad. No complaints about the home or property itself. Only thing I would want to change about our stay is the ferry schedule 😆. So if you lose track of time like us, be prepared for an Uber.

The house was very cute. Was worried about one bathroom with 5 women but it worked out fine. The a/c window unit keep the house very cool. The driver to the quarter was not bad at all. We had a great time. Love the books in the mailbox.

Security system was a nightmare, it was so hard to figure out and use correctly. We are pretty tech savvy and it was so frustrating to use. Only had one roll of paper towels so we ran out on day 2 of our stay. Don’t let neighborhood scare you though, it’s a little run down but we always felt completely safe. I would recommend getting a ferry pass and using that to get over to downtown NOLA. That’s what we did instead of driving over every day, it’s a 3 min drive to the ferry parking and $8 for three day access to ferry, bus, trolley, etc. Overall, worth it for the money but needs a different security system.

My family and I stayed here and we enjoyed our stay within the house. It was clean, comfortable beds, air condition was effective, we had couple issues come up, but host was responsive. The neighborhood was a surprise to us since it wasn’t shown in the listing- at first glance, it didn’t seem like the safest but we didn’t have any issues.

We arrived slightly after check in, we struggled with getting into the property and turning off the alarm, but after a couple minutes it was resolved.
Our stay was fine, the area was fine, the house was fine.
There’s no central air, but the window units definitely keep it cool enough to relax. Beds were comfy and everything was decorated very cute.
Somethings to note. Only one of the bedrooms has blinds, the others have curtains but my friend felt uncomfortable changing in there because they felt like people would be able to see them through the window. The locking and unlocking system was frustrating to deal with and getting any sort of deliveries there is a pain.
If you are looking for an affordable place to house a bigger group, this is definitely a good option. Just keep in mind you will need to purchase toilet paper and paper towels as there’s only a couple in the house.
