Nestled in the heart of Ontario's picturesque cottage country, Algonquin Highlands is home to breathtaking scenery of thick, lush forests, crystal clear lakes and impressive rocky landscapes. This stunning region offers endless opportunities for outdoor adventures, including hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing and more! Algonquin Provincial Park, one of Canada's oldest and most famous parks, is also located within this area. Visitors flock to its over 7,000 square kilometres of protected wilderness for its remarkable scenery, diverse wildlife and vast array of outdoor interests. In addition to its stunning natural beauty, Algonquin Highlands offers plenty of charm with welcoming small towns, unique shops and galleries, a vibrant artist community and a variety of locally-owned restaurants and cafes. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure or a little of both, Algonquin Highlands is a true escape for nature-lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The cottage is conveniently located just off Highway 118. The highway is a busy road, and the traffic can be a bit noisy but hardly heard on the lakefront side. The lake does have lily pads in the shallows but clears at about 20 feet out. We allow the grasses to grow at the water's edge to prevent Canada geese from nesting on the lawn, as this can become a problem. We have a long dock with makes for great swimming off it. Kayak on site with life jackets. This cottage does NOT have central AC. We have a portable unit only on the main floor that helps to take the edge off. We try to provide 1 bag of firewood and have extra available for purchase but sometimes supply as well as accessibility to the wood shed in the winter makes this difficult to guarantee To complete your booking we will need a signed rental agreement, $1000 refundable deposit and 2 pieces of I’d that match the credit card and reservation name Must be 25 years old to book and the majority of your group needs to be over the age of 25. We allow up to 2 dogs with prior permission. A pet fee applies to each dog. No Cats or other animals allowed. If there will be more people than the original booking, you must let us know and there is a extra guest fee of $50 per person per night.
