Our experience could. It have been better. The property itself was a prefect location. Walking distance to the beach and any amenities you might want. The house itself was fully equipped, with many areas to gather both inside and outside. In addition, the host was incredibly accomodating. We could not have had a better experience !!.

Our family had a wonderful time at the private 2-story beach house in Kihei. Tammy was great and the lodging offered so many wonderful amenities. Would definitely stay again and absolutely recommend for a family group!

This property is amazing. The grounds are gorgeous. Lots of room to enjoy the sunshine and greenery on property. The house is great - especially for families with younger children. While we were a group of 6 senior women, it would have been nice to have a bathroom on the second floor. The kitchen was well equipped. The pillows in the second floor bed alcove need to be replaced. Overall a beautiful place.

This is a magical property. So much privacy in the heart of Kihei. Perfect for a family stay or a few couples. Plenty of room, amazing outdoor spaces, and one minute walk to the beach. Truly an amazing place to stay.

What a great property. Very cool older house with character. The outside: big yard with a hammock, outdoor shower, outdoor bathtub, multiple patios with loungers and chairs, driveway to park up to 3 cars, automatic gate, BBQ. The inside: cool loft that kids would love, big bedrooms, well stocked kitchen, big living room. The extras: lots of towels, surfboards, stand up paddle board, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach toys, wagon for hauling all this great stuff. The location can't be beat: half a short block to Charlie Young beach, Foodland and restuarants are walkable. Great place.

We loved the yard, the property layout inside and the well equipped kitchen. Proximity to the beach with just a short walk.

Hoku Lani was perfect for our family of 5. The location was within walking distance from the beach, shops, and activities; this was perfect for our 3 college aged kids. It was a home away from home oasis with everything we needed to make our trip memorable. I hope this location is available when we make our 2nd trip to Maui. Thank you Tammy!

We had our adult family visiting and had a great time. The location to the beach was amazing and there was also lots of outdoor space on the property. We appreciated having multiple locations so we could space out as needed. Plenty of hot water. The photos on the listing do not do this place justice.

The house is amazing, has all the amenities you would need for a beach vacation. Perfect location, 2 min walk to Charley Young Beach. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here!! We will definitely be back to the house. Communication with Tammy was great too!

This vacation house is in an ideal location for beach and amenities in the Kihei/Wailea area. We walked to many places. The house is exactly as the pictures show and the yard and living areas make this a quiet, comfortable oasis in the middle of paradise. This was perfect for our family (3 adult couples) and would also easily accommodate 6-8 people. The host was exceptionally responsive and accommodating. I would choose this place first for any return visits.

We met up with family to share this house for our vacation with kids. It was stocked with all manner of equipment, from sand toys/floaties/boards, to a bike and golf clubs, this place was ready, and saved us money on rentals. Additionally, it has many different nooks/spaces where our large group could spread out when we wanted to, but come together for shared meals, etc. If I ever get to come back, I would fight someone to have this place again. Tammy was excellent, and very responsive, too!

House was excellent, clean and stocked with essentials, the extra swimming gear was a bonus, proximity to the beach was amazing, loved this place! Highly recommend and would stay here again!

This was the perfect place for our family to stay on Maui. The kids could run and play in the gated yard when we were home, and being half a block to a great beach was a huge plus. We will definitely stay here again in the future if we get the opportunity.

I must say we were probably the first or may be the second party to book Hoku Lani Beach House through Vrbo and when I booked, it was merely based on description with no reviews available to help me decide but after having lived in the house for a week during our trip to Maui that just ended today, Hoku Lani is a hands down deal! We were a party of 6 with our 4 boys ranging from 16 to 4 years old and oh boy we all had a blast! The house was better than our expectation. Tammy has filled the house with so much stuff that you can hardly miss any thing. Tammy you’re right, it’s a home away from home. It’s a very nice small beach house perfect for a family of 5/6 with a nice big lawn for kids to play soccer and football. Private driveway to park your car securely inside the gate. And so close to the beach! You could just literally walk back if you need to use the restroom or forgot an extra towel. It’s close to so many shops/Safeway grocery store and famous shaved ice and Paia Fish Market. Tammy is so communicative and approachable. I simply loved my experience! To summarize my review, PROS: 1. Excellent line of communication with management. 2. Proximity to beach and all necessary shops and famous eating places 3. Central location to cover both western Maui (Lahaina) and Eastern Maui (Road to Hana, Haleakala) 4. Perfectly equipped with lots of indoor and outdoor games for kids that they will never get bored even at the house. CONS: 1. Expect no house keeping like a hotel not you can get it by paying per service Suggestions to Tammy/Management: 1. Consider improved/enhanced pictures of the house on Vrbo to attract more guests. 2. Consider replacing/upgrading comforters/blankets 3. Consider upgrading bathrooms. All in all I would give this house a 4.9 star rating and would definitely recommend to family and friends! This property was perfect for our family of 8! It is in the quaint town of Kihei within steps of a pretty fantastic beach front. We did daily surfing/ boogie boarding and some snorkeling…all with the equipment provided at the house. Kihei is a quaint town with charming shops and eateries. We felt like locals away from the resort towns. Our teens declared it their favorite place we’ve ever stayed. I can’t say enough great things about this property!! We will definitely stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to make it back to Maui!
