About this farm stay rental

Hidden on its own private lane, this 18th century farmhouse gives guests the chance to experience the past. Laurel Hill Farm was originally built in 1762 with several additions in the following centuries. The house has been restored and updated to include modern amenities. Among the charming period features are hand blown glass windows, exposed brick walls, original wide board pine floors, all of which are blended seamlessly with updated baths and a modern kitchen. Located in Loudoun wine and horse country, off paved Hamilton Station Road, this property includes 30 acres of rolling Blue Ridge farmland in Waterford. Nearby attractions include over 30 wineries and breweries within ten miles, a less than a seven mile drive from the heart of Leesburg and a 25 minute drive to Harper's Ferry. Other unique attributes are a murmuring stream emanating from a stone spring house, an 1824 stone barn, and an outdoor patio with hardscape lighting. Horseback riding lessons available upon request! Rate is $65 per hour lesson. Please note: We live nearby and tend to animals on the property twice a day. Please be considerate to our cleaner and future guests by abiding by the no pets policy

This property is fantastic. It is a charming farmhouse on a working farm. Everything described in the listing is correct and the hosts couldn't have been better. They checked on us and ensured everything ran smoothly.

Upon arrival to the property, we were immediately intrigued and impressed by this historical home and felt as if we had been transported to another time. You can tell the owners have put immense effort to make this house as inviting as possible while preserving all the original character. The kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances and everything we could possibly need, and the beds were comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to return. The Wilcox Family

We spent 3 nights and attended a family wedding at Landsdown Resort about 15 minutes away. I’m so glad we stayed at Laurel Hill. It was so peaceful and had everything we needed.

Wonderful weekend at Laurel Hill. The five Grandkids loved running around the property and watching the cows through the fence.

We visited the farm during Easter with our extended family, 6 adults and 3 kids. We loved our stay and want to come back! The house is great. We loved the history of it. It is fully stocked and the sleeping arrangements were perfect for us. The setting is beautiful and we all enjoyed the animals. The delicious farm fresh eggs were a great addition. The hosts were great and very attentive when needed. We visited a number of great wineries and breweries in the area. Some favorites were Walsh Family Winery, Bluemont Station Brewery and Winery, and Hillsborough Vineyards and Brewery. We also took a nature walk from the mill in Waterford to the dam. It was an easy walk with a rewarding view of the dam at the end. We had a great stay at the house and can’t wait to plan our next trip!
