Wonderful Kalani Kai condo that's located in the heart of Kailua-Kona. Walking Distance to Everywhere in Town! Tiled throughout, No carpet! You'll appreciate a remodeled fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, good quality cabinets, Dishwasher, Stove, Fridge, Washer/Dryer, Wifi, Cable TV all included! Air Conditioning Wall Unit in Living Room Only, not in the Bedroom. This first floor condo has views of a lush tropical garden! The Interior space has been extended, so it's a bit larger than other units because the lanai has been removed. There are sliders that open, but no lanai space as a FYI. A parking space that's close to the front door as well! Kalani Kai calls has a wonderful pool deck that is finished in beautiful stonework. A community grilling area contributes to the tropical lifestyle and it's practically right outside your front door. It's just a short walk to Kailua Pier, shopping, restaurants and night life on Alii Drive. The owners of Unit#109 want to provide the best service possible for their guests. Knutson & Associates will offer guests who book Unit#109 the following additional services as a benefit, to you, the guest! 1. You have a complimentary concierge service to make Restaurant/Activity Reservations if you so desire to utilize 2. Need us to go grocery shopping or pick up certain items from the store before you arrive? We can ensure everything is in the property waiting for you upon your arrival! (Additional Service Charge May Apply) 3. Any guests who book 14 nights or longer will receive a Fruit Basket upon their arrival as a gift from the owner. 4. Face to Face Arrival/Departure Experience Offered Complimentary! All guests who book Kalani Kai #109have the option of meeting Property Management Staff upon their arrival to go over property specifics. We were greeted in person and explained all the house rules. Very nice young man. The stay was very comfortable. The apartment had everything you would need for the stay. Very quiet for where it’s at. So close to downtown which is nice you can walk to every restaurant in 5-10 minutes. Would stay again if in the Kona region again.

This is a very functional apartment. It's just a few minute walk from the main thoroughfare in Kailua Kona. Also, very close to Walmart and Safeway if you wanted to buy necessities and groceries. It was very thoughtfully equipped with appliances and utensils. The washing machine and dryer were very handy. In short, everything we needed was there. For the two of us, the apartment was very comfortable and a good bit larger in size than what we'd previously seen. We liked the true solid table that allowed us to catch up on work. If you need a functional, comfortable place to explore the island, then this one should serve you well.

Great place! Really appreciated having access to beach blanket, cooler and chairs. Well thought out accommodation. Wish we had stayed longer. Nice pool and bbq area clean :)
(Could use an extra set of coffee mugs and maybe some sugar as that’s a pain to buy, but appreciated the coffee filters. )

The place was great. It had everything we needed.
The only drawback I have: being forced to take an insurance coverage for something that I was already protected for by my own insurance. Yes, that was mentionned il the listing but only in the English version. We booked based on the French version and it did not mention that requirement. The Italian and rhe Spanish version were not mentionning that requirement. Efforts should be made so that every version of the listing tells the same thng.

My husband, little one and I needed something convenient and close to the Kailua Pier (IM Village and start/finish) due to the little one. This was perfect. I could easily go in and out and check in on my family, and on race day they could see me at the start, transitions, run course, and the epic finish. It was super close without the hecticness of one of the host hotels, and had a washer/dryer and full kitchen which is really important race week, and when traveling with a little one. My family stayed at a resort a few miles away, and came in just for the race day and were thankfully able to get a visitor parking spot very early AM - they cheered w my husband and little one all day and could comfortably rest in between which is important to me because it’s a longer day for them. Knutson was regularly in touch through the process, and the unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Mahalo!

It's an easy to find place, with parking a few steps away from the unit door. They also provide quite a fan of things you may want to use: cooler, beach chairs, umbrella... I just wish my wife told me about this closet full of fun things!!!
Check in was seamless and communication was a breeze. They responded to every single message I sent, even after hours.
Place is very quiet, has a pool and it's at a walking distance from downtown and beach.
I would love to go back and definitely recommend it to anyone.

stayed for a wedding. location was good. unit was good overall. have a minor ant problem in kitchen. having been to hawaii before we know not to leave anything on counters so not too big of an issue. ceiling fan in living room did not work. and fan/light in bedroom was set on a timer somehow so light would come on in middle of the night. never did figure out how to stop that. nice pool bbq area.

Located behind the old Church in Kailua town this VRBO is close to downrown, but not too close. A/C in living room and fans in bedroom.. washer and dryer is great to have, and the kitchen is well equipped. A wonderful place to explore big island from. Oh, reserved parking space is also great!!!!

Good rental and exactly as advertised. Only negative is they leave a comically small amount of soap for your stay. Anything more than 1 night for 2 people and you will need to go buy your own.

We enjoy staying at the Kalani Kai ~ it's comfortable, has a helpful staff, and within walking distance to the pier and small shops. However, we will not be returning to Kona. It no longer represents the Hawaii we fell in love with 40 years ago. Every chain store with their humungous parking lots has taken over the open spaces. Once quiet beaches no longer exist as the throngs of people pour onto them. Sirens going off at all hours. Knutson and Associates are the best property managers, and we will continue to use them as we relocate our hearts to another area of Hawaii.

Kalani Kai #109 was in the perfect location for our dive part of the trip to Hawaii. Only 15 minutes by car from the small boat harbor and 5 - 10 minute walk to all the restaurants near Ali'i strip. The condo was clean and sufficient to our needs. Great value for money. Thank you.

The communication from the property management company was excellent prior to and throughout my stay. The condo is in a great location to Kona village main tourist area. The condo itself was exactly as described in the listing. The unit was well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay as well as beach supplies (chairs, umbrellas, cooler , beach towels).

The summary of our experience is simple: We would stay here again! We were here for a week of scuba diving with Jack's Diving Locker and the condo was a perfect for our needs. It was very well equipped, there was nothing we were in want for.

Great condo, only concern, not a complaint, is that they need comfortable furniture. Outdoor chairs as indoor furniture isn’t good. Dining set very uncomfortable.
Otherwise great place clean, close to pool, walk to beach, restaurants etc.

First time on the Island, was very nervous about what to expect. This place truly made us feel like we were home. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, from washers to cooking pots. I'm extremely satisfied and would be booking again if I'm on the Island. Would def recommend. They provided beach towels, chairs and bags. There was also a beach umbrella.
Checking in and out was sooo easy. The place is very spacious and clean!
The only thing that made me uncomfortable were the neighbors and "manager" as he claimed to be.
I don't know if it was racism or they are just nosy but I was questioned about were I was staying. Since the beaches were closed due to the Storm, my family and my sisters made it a pool day. I made sure to follow rules, even then a man watched us and read rules as he kept watching. It was very uncomfortable, then we were approached by a man claiming to be the property manager and asked why so many people were staying in one apt. ????
It's 4 of us as the place sleeps 4, however, my sister as my guest, did show up with her boys for a bit to play with mine. The situation really made me uncomfortable, the way he approached us was not professional.
Another man and women stood by the gate and watched us as well.
I really dont know what all this was about but we were following rules and being careful so I wasn't worried. It was just an uncomfortable moment.
We brushed it off and went about our day, I refused to let anyone ruin our vacation.
I'm not reviewing the neighbors, I'm reviewing the place, other than the neighboors this place is excellent. I truly felt at home and with kiddos, it was perfect and peaceful. Thank you so much!
