Nestled in Wailua, this charming condo for $590 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Steps To The Beach! Ocean Front Condo! 5 Star Views! Centrally Located! Aloha-We bet that because you’re reading this you’ve looked at the descriptions of many vacation rentals on Kauai. Likely all of them gave glowing descriptions of how wonderful they are – and no doubt many indeed are. Here is why our condo should be at the top of your list! Location! Lae Nani, appropriately named, meaning “beautiful face” in Hawaiian, is a gathering of approximately 80 condominium units on the east side of the island, known as the Coconut Coast. Lae Nani exudes an old Hawaii charm. It is situated on the coast of Wailua Bay, one of the most sacred places on the island and the ancestral home to the Hawaiian Royals. In fact, the stone remains of a sacred temple, known as a "Heiau”, sit on the edge of this property and it is still visited and used by local Hawaiians today. In addition to the Heiau, the property features five acres of showcase tropical foliage, including palm and banyan trees and a wide variety of flowering plants. Lae Nani is located in the quaint town of Kapa’a, midway between the verdant north shore and many of the attractions found to the south. It is only minutes from the airport in Lihue. In addition, it is conveniently close to shopping and restaurants, many of which are within easy walking distance, yet it is peacefully secluded behind its gated entrance. Our apartment is located on the second floor in building 5 (#526) and is steps from the beach and the waves of the Pacific Ocean. Swimming and snorkeling are of course favorite activities, as is sunbathing on the sandy beach. There’s even a lava-rock-enclosed “Keiki” pool that is shallow enough for little kids and timid oldsters to enjoy. Views from the lanai, over Wailua Bay, are panoramic and unforgettable. Unlike many other possibilities you may have read about, our apartment does not abut the parking lot but rather has a quiet winding sidewalk through lush flowering trees and bushes. As an end unit, our apartment has three sides with windows, making it bright and open. There are two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with two extra-long twin-size beds. *Note: The twin beds do not convert to a king. The kitchen is well stocked, and it faces the ocean allowing the cook to be part of the fun. The two fully-equipped ensuite bathrooms have walk-in showers. The lanai has chaise lounges and a bar-height table that allows guests an unobstructed view of the bay, where you’ll see expert surfers, kiteboarders, and the occasional dolphin or whale. The condo is equipped with internet, cable, boogie boards, beach towels, and beach chairs. To keep the ‘feel’ of old Hawaii, we have opted not to install air conditioning. During the midsummer months, when nights can be warm, as well as during the infrequent times that trade wind breezes aren’t present, multiple fans, including ceiling and free-standing, are available to help keep you cool. The decision not to install AC allows windows to be left open day and night so you can enjoy the sound of the waves, the sweet smell of plumeria, and the soft cooing of the endangered shearwater bird. The property amenities include a large saltwater swimming pool that is heated during the winter months, plenty of poolside lounge chairs, private parking, gas barbeques, and a tennis court for your use. Lastly, there’s an on-site manager and a friendly staff with an aloha spirit. Everything is well-maintained, clean, and accessible. We have owned and loved our condo for over 10 years. We recently decided to self-manage the property on VRBO when our long-time on-island manager retired. We spent two weeks in this amazing condo that felt like home..every amenity possible was there and enjoyed by us..the location was perfect and provided easy access to both the north shore and Poipu..very quiet beach and condo complex …really loved walking next door to LavaLava for fresh dishes and great breakfasts…also a fabulous spot to catch the sunrise..had two dinners at Dukes and must say I would not recommend..prices were too high for quality of the food..Tidepools at the Grand Hyatt in Poipu was off the charts !!!

This is a beautiful oceanfront property for a relaxing vacation in Kauai. We enjoyed listening to the ocean waves daily, and the view was exactly what we hoped for. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of shops and restaurants. It is also a short ride to the airport. The condo included beach chairs, beach umbrella, and boogie boards. It was so convenient to walk to the beach and have all of the beach gear available for us to use. We visited in January and the weather was perfect with the windows open and fans on. The owner was quick with communication and very accommodating. Overall the property met expectations and we would stay here again.

Excellent place for a week vacation.
Location is probably the best in the complex. The condo was stocked with everything you need. The beach was secluded and swimming was fun.

From the moment we walked into the condo, we were amazed by the views. The ocean is so close! The condo was perfectly decorated, clean and well stocked with everything one needs for an easy stay. Every day, we enjoyed early morning coffee and sunset cocktails on the lanai. The grounds are beautiful, and the condo is within walking distance to many great restaurants. We would absolutely love to stay again.

We booked this stay in April 2022 right after I got my daughter's 2022-2023 school year calendar. Then, I was asked to officiate a friend's wedding and the hosts were so understanding in letting us reschedule. So, here we are in August 2023 flying back home to California from our long-awaited Kauai vacation. I share all of this just to drive home how very worth the (16 month!) wait it was.
The views of the beach from the second story balcony are, I think, the best in the entire complex. The unit was very clean, comfortable, well stocked, and attractive.
My friend, who grew up in Kauai, said her local friends bring their kids to law nani beach because it's so kid friendly and my daughters loved spending time in the gardens and heated pool.
We feel so grateful that the hosts shared their piece of heaven!

Everything was beautiful, clean, well organized and well furnished with everything you need. The location was wonderful, right on the ocean on the end of the property with great access to the ocean and only a short walk to the pool. It was the highlight of our trip to Kauai!

We just can't say enough about this beautiful property. Located in the Kapa'a area convenient to shopping and restaurants. This condo is the best in the Lae Nani resort. It is located at the end of the building with a splendid view of the ocean and gardens. The sound of the waves, the wonderful cross ventilation from the sea breeze, tasteful decor, and great floor plan made this our favorite on Kauai! The owners were fantastic to work with, with quick communication and very accommodating. The spacious grounds and pool were immaculately groomed with stellar landscaping which we never got tired of photographing. The beach area made for great boogie boarding, swimming, and enjoying the ocean view. We will gladly stay at this property on our next Kauai vacation! This one is a true gem!

Lovely property with awesome view of the bay surf. End unit was wonderfully private with little foot traffic nearby. Also close to restaurants and shops. We had a wonderful week of much needed escape from the snow. Would definitely love to come back.

Very well stocked, including beach chairs and toys. Kara was great at getting back to us when we had an issue with some kitchen items. Our only challenge was the cost of.... everything in Kauai! It was a great vacation all around, but as on Maui, rising costs are unfortunate. Hopefully we can get back when our Canadian dollar is stronger.

Everything about our experience was truly memorable and amazing. The condo was exactly as described with all the conveniences and extras that one could ask for. The location is just perfect with the beach right there and a neighborhood beach bar just a 2 minute walk. If you are looking for a beautiful condo, mesmerizing beach views and sunsets, and restaurants/markets in walking distance….this is for you!
After traveling the island, I found this to be favorite area of the island for its central location and nearby conveniences. 10/10

The location of this condo is amazing. It is central and a good starting point to explore all corners of the island. The sound of the waves from the beach were very soothing. The little sectioned off part of the beach was perfect to go swimming with my toddler. We had an amazing time. The only thing we missed is having air conditioning because it can get really hot and humid here. There were a lot of fans in the condo and opening the windows made a lot of difference. Kara was easy to communicate, very responsive and a great host.

This was our first trip to Kauai, and our first "kid free" trip since 2014. As such, we were very particular about where we wanted to stay while on the island. When we found Kara's property listing, we knew it looked like the perfect place for us to stay. The reality could not have been any better. The unit itself is exactly as described - beautiful, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and in the perfect location. The views are spectacular and the grounds and private beach provided us with the perfect relaxing getaway. We are already dreaming about our next visit! Thank you!

Loved our stay, great location. Your condo needs some attention. All the screens in your living area are falling apart, screen door is very hard to open to the patio and the bottom is completely ripped. Also the side windows in your dinning area are falling apart and also will not open. We had very noisy neighbors above us who liked to rearrange the furniture every night and throw towels from the balcony. I left a message with the property manager Eric but he never returned my call. We stayed in your condo 4yrs ago and it was in much better condition. Still love your place just needs a little TLC...

This condo is Fantastic! We stayed with our adult daughter, plenty of room for us, plus our girls had their own bathroom. The condo is perfectly equipped to fulfill all your wants & needs for a great Kauai vacation. Lae Nani is in a perfect location to explore the island and if you don’t want to travel far or just be lazy, the beach on property is gorgeous and the Coconut Marketplace is right next door with restaurants & shopping. My husband and I have already started about returning to Kauai and this condo.

Place had beautiful beach sunrises every morning. Great clean safe property. He’ll stocked with beach chairs, towels, snorkle gear. Kauai Coffee on arrival was a wonderful surprise. So nice to not have to run to store for basics! Would highly recommend!

Beautiful Getaway
We had a wonderful stay! The place is beautiful inside and out. The view from the lanai is amazing. We were able to see a few turtles in the water. There is a beach in front of the condo. The water is a little rough but good for surfing and boogie boarding. There is a little pool of water that collects between the rock ledge and sand you can sit and relax in. The condo is very close to shops and restaurants that you can walk to. There is not much of a breeze in the bedrooms. The fans help a little but very hot in July with no air conditioning. Would definitely recommend this place in the cooler months.

The BEST VRBO we have ever stayed in!!!
This place is incredible. Super clean, very well stocked condo and especially the kitchen, the most AMAZING view from the balcony, comfy beds, furniture and decor were high quality, perfect ocean breezes day and night, close to everything! Wonderful and cozy beachfront house, owners were absolutely helpful!
We stayed for over a week at this beautiful condo in front of a private beach, the marketplace with restaurants and shops was only steps away. The place not only had all the amenities for our stay and very cozy decor, but also beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards and even snorkels for our use at the beach We had a challenging flight schedule and the owner was so kind to arrange everything so we can have a flexible check-in and out which we are so grateful for, specially since we traveled with a kid. Loved the place and the customer service, 100% recommended!

I cannot decide if the interaction with the owner, Kara, or the propert itself was better. The condo is absolutely beautiful, clean, comfortable and you cannot beat the location. Beautiful views, decor and grounds and Kara is amazing to work with - I felt like I was working with a friend through the entire interaction. You will not be disappointed if you book here.

Beyond our expectations!
First and foremost, I have to give praise to the property owner, Kara. She has been incredible to work with. Her communication and willingness to go out of her way to accommodate us with whatever needs we had was so reassuring!
The condo itself, is a goldmine! Look no further for another property if you are debating between other ones. It’s right on the beach and the views are phenomenal! You feel like you have your own private beach. I can even say that visiting for Spring Break. We felt like we were on a quite relaxing vacation with very little tourists.
Our days always started off with a bang with coffee and the gorgeous sunrises every morning. The location, couldn’t be anymore convenient. The condo is within a short walking distance to shopping, restaurants and a market. Located on the East Shore, it makes exploring between the North Shore all the way to the West Shore very easy.
The condo is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Kara has thought of every detail possible!! I honestly couldn’t think of one thing we were without. There are even two kinds of coffee makers in case you prefer the Keurig over a 10 cup coffee pot ;-)
Everything is very clean and in wonderful condition. We never felt like we were staying at a rental. There’s a much more personal and inviting feel about the condo.
When we return to Kauai, this will be the place we will forever come back to!
