About this house rental

Located in Russell Island, this charming house for $393 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Enjoy plenty of space at this family home away from home. This house has a private pontoon with deep water mooring for your own boat of any size. 10 people can be accommodated, and your furry friends are welcome. All linen and essentials are provided. Escape the work life and take advantage of the natural environment: for outdoor entertainment, there are kayaks (with paddles and lifejackets), bikes, crab pots, a cosy fire pit, and for any rainy days there are board games and plenty books. There is free WIFI at the property. There is a Chrome Cast TV, which can stream Netflix or Apple, as well as show terrestrial channels. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you can think of including a coffee machine, toastie maker, full oven, electric fry pan and airfryer. There is also a 8-burner BBQ on the deck overlooking the water. There are 4 bedrooms: one bedroom is downstairs and contains 2 single beds. There are shops on Russell, a good Supa IGA, butcher, baker and bottle shop as well as a few cafes. The bowls club does nice food and has a courtesy bus. There is a reliable taxi service - 0408 - 78-55-55. Access to the island is either by own watercraft, vehicle ferry (1hr from Redland Bay) (see Sealink website > SEQ) or passenger ferry (20-30 mins from Redland Bay). If you want to use it as a base to explore further afield in SEQ, once back on the mainland, it is only 40 mins drive to Theme Parks on the Gold Coast. Caution: we advise you not to sit directly under the coconut tree, as the coconuts can fall down! Please ask if you need early check in or late check out: we can sometimes accommodate this.

The house was roomy well appointed in an excellent location on the water overlooking Stradbroke Island, and the host was very accommodating and helpful. Kayaks were provided and enjoyed by all , we had a great time and would highly recommend this property !

Great position... kids and adults loved fishing every day. Everything supplied, right down to the bug spray and sun lotion... Andrea had everything covered. Lovely home in a beautiful place. We will ne back again.

We had a wonderful stay, grandkids, kids and grandparents with two doggos. Our weather was beautiful but even if it had rained there would have been a ton of space for us to spread out..A few things around the house are a bit worn out but there was lots of bedding and everything you need is there. A great spot for a group to hang out and feel super comfortable!

Property is in a great location with nice views and conveniently near a boat ramp. Communication with the host was amazing, they answered questions and assisted very promptly. Property is very spacious and was well equipped. Would definitely book again.

My husband, our dog and i had a glorious 2 weeks. We caught fish and crabs a plenty, enjoyed the lovely breeze and just relaxed. Dinner and trivia at the bowls club was a grand outing. The house is lovely and was clean and had all the bits and pieces required. Our host was easy to contact and accomodating . The view was superb. Thank you!

The property was exactly as described. The host was great to communicate with and very pleasant. The house had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and was big enough for 4 adults. Lovely outlook with the pontoon at the rear of the property. Pity we had a rainy weekend. Would consider returning.

Firstly Andrea was very easy to deal with, she was always helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. The view was absolutely amazing and what an added bonus having your own jetty. The house is beautiful and very spacious with all the amenities you need. 2 days definitely wasn’t long enough, we will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone wanting a nice little getaway.
