Take just about eight steps across a quiet street and you are in Siesta Village Proper and the best fresh oysters, seafood, tropical drinks, ice cream, entertainment, and even gourmet donuts on the island. The beaches at this location are the widest and have panoramic views of the gulf to the North-West-and-South and are the top spot in North America for viewing sunsets. You can swim or “often” wade to Sand Dollar Island, a naturally occurring white sand cay popular with dolphin's sand-dollars and “occasionally” giant-conch.
