About this chalet rental

Very unique open-concept chalet nestled on an acre of forested land with creek running through it. Full kitchen, washer/dryer, space for gear, ample free parking and a very private get-away that is still conveniently located! Steps to Three Blind Mice trail network. 5 -10 mins walk to 2 wineries (Nichol & Daydreamer) and Legends Distillery. 5 min drive to Naramata village, beach and lake. 15-20 min drive to Penticton for gas, groceries, breweries, art galleries and more. Naramata Creek, which runs along the base of our property, creates a calming atmosphere when you are eating meals, hanging out around the fire, star gazing or relaxing in bed. Forest & creek keeps this cozy property lush, private, serene and protected from most Okanagan wind. 700m from the KVR Smethurst parking lot gives you easy access to the famous KVR tunnel north, or Penticton to the south, both great bike rides for an afternoon trip. If you are a rock climber, the scenic world-class Skaha Bluffs are a 25-30 min drive away, just south of Penticton and easy to get to. Catch the early morning sun, relax for your mid-day meal overlooking the forest & creek, watch the sunset through the trees with peek-a-boo views of the lake from the loft office space and upper-level patio. This truly unique home has an eclectic style, artistic wood work, exposed beams, custom stairs and huge windows to nourish your soul and provide an exceptional boutique vacation experience. Organic cotton & bamboo bedding, non-toxic cleaning products, reclaimed wooden doors and floors makes this eco-friendly escape your best place to stay in Naramata. THE FINE PRINT: Small hot water tank means showers need to be kept short and bathtub only fills up half-way before hot water runs out. Soft wood floors means they mark easily, absolutely no high heels to be worn in the house, shoes off preferred in general. Cell service can be poor at the house, but once you're on the wifi you can use your smartphone as per usual. This is a wilderness property that has steep slopes and soft trail with unstable footing down to the Naramata Creek. Wilderness animals common to the Okanagan such as bears, coyotes, rattlesnakes and black widow spiders live in the area. Please keep all door closed to keep rodents, insects and other animals out of the house, though screened windows can be opened to let in the beautiful air and sounds of the creek. Sunken living room does not have railings around it, so please use care around borders of living room. The South Okanagan is a desert-like environment so please use water wisely.

We had a brilliant 3 night stay in Naramata, a few wine tastings, short hike and we rented cycles as well. The accommodation is superb, many thanks to Dean & Eryn for letting us stay in their beautiful property.

We highly recommend this "creekside retreat". The property is at the end of a road and is very private. You can hike to the waterfalls and enjoy the sounds of the creek while you relax in the sun! Dean and Eryn were great hosts. They attended to any and all of our needs. Dean had great recommendations! He referred us to Kurt at Freedom Bike shop to rent e-bikes for the day. Kurt was awesome. He delivered and picked up the bikes after our day out riding. There are several wineries nearby and Naramata store and beaches are a short drive. It was a great stay and would definitely stay again. Thanks, Dean and Eryn!
