It was absolutely stunning, a dream vacation, with perfect service, spectacular views, wonderful food! I can’t wait to return. It is the only beach vacation I’m taking

It was okay. Probably would not stay here again.

Excellent, excellent property! Great beach and amenities including lots of kid activities. Will visit again soon!

We had an amazing time! Resort is beautiful with lots of activities for kids and adults. The only thing I will complain about is the cleanness of the restrooms, 2 times there was not toilet paper and the floors were extremely wet and sandy.
Overall an excellent experience

Nice beachfront property, rooms very comfortable. Pool and beach areas very nice - lots of activities available & Tiki bar. Only disappointment was the restaurant - my husband & I both did not like our entrees. However, lots of good restaurants off property.

The grounds of the resort are very nice and the view we had was unbeatable.
For the cost, the rooms(at least the one we were in) should of been nicer. They are in need of a refreshing

My family and I have been coming to Bakers cay for the last 4 years on several of occasions from birthdays to baby moons. This last time it may be the last visit we make until they update / deep clean their rooms. The activities for kids and resort grounds are so nice it’s so disappointing that there’s not the appropriate upkeep to the property. The rooms in particular, for the price, have many issues that were present in our last stay and have worsened such as: the AC units do not cool , the flooring is all scratched up (they are dog friendly which is fine but make sure you deep clean those rooms) mold in the shower crevices, dirty stained couch in room, cracked ceiling , peeling paint on furniture, far from perfect hotel bedding, just disappointing for such a beautiful property.

The property has beautiful views if you are on a high floor . Beautiful sunsets. Limited seating at pools and very small beach area that is overcrowded and has water activities in the same small area for swimming in the gulf. Price gouging for and drinks are ridiculous. Resort adds a tax for each drink/food item then adds an automatic service charge (gratuity) to each item then adds a tax on that service charge without telling you ahead of time that there is a gratuity (service charge) included. Room furniture was dated, old and stained. The housekeeping services weren’t good. The Calusa restaurant had small overpriced portions for mediocre food. The restaurant was understaffed and overwhelmed. Very disappointing stay, especially because social media makes it seem like a must see resort.

Beautiful property. Comfy bed. I just wish hotel staff would put families with kids or dogs in different location of property so we don’t have to listen to them bark and kids cry, scream and yell. A maid came in while we were out despite our “do not disturb” sign on door. She cleaned and threw away a folder we had with very important documents and trip itinerary. Would not stay again based upon high rate and noise.

They charged us on Expedia then again at the resort. It is 2 months later and still they contest the double charges even though they are in their own records and on my credit card.

Our room is on the “hammock” side. The rooms look to be renovated, but the walls are so thin I can distinguish conversations from both walls, the outside and the ceiling. The door lock didn’t work and had to be fixed. The inside door barrier lock was also broken which they were unable to fix. The doors open to the outside and when I mentioned a safety concern the reply was “As for any concerns in regards to your safety I can assure you that both you and your belongings is under no threat here at our resort”.

My husband (who works in law enforcement)was not reassured. They never offered to change our room.

I like the beach area and the outdoor restaurant

The property was beautiful and well maintained. The pools and beach were as well. Our room was clean and nicely appointed. The only challenge we had was our room was on the ground floor and there was quite a bit of traffic and noise in front of our room. If we stayed again I would request a room on a upper floor.

The property itself was very nice. The issue that I have with this resort was it was overrun with dogs. Don’t get me wrong I love dogs but I don’t want to hear them barking while I’m trying to relax on the beach. They should rename this resort Barkers Cay.

Our stay at Baker’s Cay was just what we needed. Calm, quiet, relaxing—the accommodations were beautiful, view was amazing, staff was friendly, rooms were clean and quiet and there is enough nearby if you need other dining options.

Good for families
Property was a bit tired
Room could have been cleaner
Water pressure in bathroom sink was incredibly weak

Property and Service was great but we were on 3rd floor, above us was scratching and noise as if there was a dog running around all night

Lovely hotel with beautiful beach & pool plus lots of activities to choose. Staff is very helpful.

The most clean and beautiful resort I’ve been to! So many fun water activities for the kids (and adults!). Wonderful staff who were so friendly and helpful. Excellent drinks at the tiki bar out on the beach. Two beach options, two pools, two restaurants. Couldn’t ask for more. Can’t wait to go back!

We lived our stay! The resort is beautiful and the rooms have the most comfortablest bed!!! My husband and I were very cozy! The staff is great especially our bartenders at the beach bar. Tbey are very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great recommendations as to where to eat. We will definitely be back!!

Very disappointed with my stay. Booked for 2 nights but checked out a night early and took the loss.
When we first checked in, we saw numerous issues with the room (see below). However, the biggest reason we checked out early was because our door didn’t lock. I didn’t realize this until the next day. Thankfully nothing was stolen. The door closes and appears to be locked but if you just push on the door it opens up. We called the front desk to fix it, and someone came by to look at it. He said he will come right back with tools to fix it. So, we assumed it would be fixed and left for the day to visit Key West. When we came back at midnight, the door was still not fixed. Thankfully again, nothing was stolen but I could have lost a lot due to their negligence. Since it was already midnight, I didn’t want to deal with the front staff and deal with them fixing my door again so I went to check out and drive home a day early. I told them about this and they they just said sorry.
1. The room had a musty smell in it. I wasn’t sure if it's from mold or what it was. Not the worse smell in the world but definitely not pleasant.
2. There was a quarter size brown stain on the bathroom door, I don’t even want to know what it was.
3. The toilet flushed once and the handle broke off so I had to call the front desk to fix it.
more issues but Expedia only lets me type 1500 characters.

This was a horrible stay! I feel like I been deceived! This is no where near a 4 stars hotel! Our room was so smelly. There were no vent in bathroom. The room was so stuffy and smelly. The couch has stains. Nothing looks clean. Expedia needs to removed there listing under 4 stars hotel. This is deceiving and misleading! I have stay at less stars, but is way better than this place. During our stay we couldn’t wait til the sun is out so we can begin our day. It was not a relaxing or enjoyable stay at all! Remove the 4 stars listing and stop deceiving guests!

The property was beautiful. The outside of the hotel was picturesque. The shared spaces of the resort were also lovely. The staff were amazing and the food was excellent. Here’s what I didn’t like about the resort. I was very surprised given the price of the room how lackluster the actual room was I certainly expected more for that price. I also didn’t expect that part of the wall had multiple gouges in it and look like it needed to be repaired. I also didn’t expect an extremely dirty sofa. It looks like it was stained and needed to be cleaned. I also didn’t expect about a 5 to 6 inch long 2 to 3 inch wide cockroach with wings. It was the largest insect I’ve ever seen and the size of a small mammal, crawling out from under the couch. I had to call the front desk to have someone come and get it given the size. It apparently disappeared inside the couch at which point I requested that the couch go out onto the balcony. That was the second time that I had to call the concierge service the first time was because the TV didn’t work, the gentleman came and fixed it quickly. The third time was on my last morning. Woke up at 7:20 AM by the sound of someone with what appeared to be a leaf blower right outside my room by the front door. When I called the front desk, they said they would take care of it right away, which they didn’t, and explain that he does that every morning. also be prepared to pay an additional 45 dollars a day for resort fee. Overall I wouldn’t stay again

The hotel is a really good option for couples ; but if rains there is not much you can do.
Also would be good to have lighter food option for meals.

Only one hot tub on the property and it was closed for cleaning , we didn’t know of this until check in. I would have booked another property as the weather was quite cold, also, both days the water activities were closed due to weather, not much else to do. Restaurants were wildly overpriced for the quality, fish and chips was dripping in grease. I wouldn’t book here again

Decent place to stay. Rooms need updating. Lobby part of the hotel is very nice. Beach area is nice with paddle boarding, kayaks for free and jetski rentals available. Food is not bad but extremely overpriced

My wife and I loved our stay at Baker's Cay over Thanksgiving. We choose the hotel after seeing it written up as one of the most dog-friendly hotels in the US. We brought our 11 month old dachshund and it couldn't have been more perfect! He was off leash for much of the time, swimming and playing in the sand. The resort's casual and relaxed atmosphere was exactly what we needed to recharge. The staff was friendly and the restaurants were very good. I would definitely stay again!

Beautiful wooded grounds and a nice private beach as far as beaches in the keys go. Nice to have water sports on-site, although their offerings are basic.
Grounds were clean. 2 pools were clean but small. We were in the 2-bedroom suite which was spacious except the single bathroom is accessed only through the 2nd bedroom. Staff were very attentive. Somewhat pricey for what you get overall, and the $45/night resort fee is bogus.

This place is beautiful and one of the employees named Ainsworth was extra friendly and inviting - he deserves a raise! For check in there was a small inconvenience with our room keys not working the first time, but that happened at the last Hilton we stayed at so they should look into what is going on with their key activation process! This place is spectacular overall and I will be back!

Such a beautiful property! Definitely the nicest place my husband and I had ever been! The staff was extremely friendly and always asked if we needed anything and I love all of the extra activities they offer for families!

I loved the whole vibe of the property. Very intimate and just overall nice looking! Lots of horrible attitude and poor customer service from a bunch of employees who seemed like it made them look cool to their coworkers if they were rude to people. Kayla from the restaurant by the beach was THE nicest bar tender. She gets 5 stars!

Very comfortable resort, safe, clean rooms, excellent dinning options, great daily activities, pools and jacuzzi were very clean. The resort staff was friendly and polite. Will definitely come back.

Me and my husband stayed here for our minimoon and it was wonderful. So relaxing, staff was so nice, food and room service were amazing, so many fun things to do in the property and many fun spots to hit near the property.
