Excellent location and very friendly staff.

Fantastic hotel located in a good spot! There was no hair dryer in the room and the situation with the bathroom being glass made the whole room light up when someone used it in the middle of the night. Controlling any of the room lights is also inconvenient. A hair dryer in the room would have been helpful too. That obviously didn’t change our experience much and we would stay there again. Service was amazing too.

I have always wanted to stay here, and we were very much looking forward to our trip. I stay in hotels throughout the UK week in week out and can honestly say that the "welcome " we received was one of the worst ever. The Concierge was blunt and downright rude, there were 2 people on reception one male one female. In the 15 minutes we stood waiting to check-in the male had sorted out 4 people then us whilst the female chattered away to the same group she was checking in!! I am supposed to have "Gold" status, nothing was said. I normally get a free upgrade or a drink, again nothing was said. Not a great start. The room was fine, clean and smart but half the lights didnt work and there was a CONSTANT drone from what I assume was the pool? It was like trying to sleep beside an idling deisel engine! I have stayed in nicer 3 and 4 star hotels quite honestly. The restaurant was closed as well which wasnt ideal. Overall we were left feeling quite let down.

Hotel was extremely clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was closed for renovations so all meals were served in the bar which was fine. We found the menu limited but the food was good. Rooms were spacious and very warm but would opt for a castle view if we stayed again - not to necessarily see the castle but to avoid the noise from the plant / air conditioning units outside.

Room was lovely, great quality. Spa is exceptional. Sound carried between the rooms and this was slightly annoying.

Had an accident where I was sick in bed !
Charged an extortion for cleaning
Then meals via Room Service - soup was hardly warm and main course chicken was so tiny I thought it was a children’s portion !!
Won’t be back

Spa is brilliant. Position is excellent. Room and bed very comfortable. Breakfast buffet on the good side of average, but need another coffee machine to cut down queues. All staff notably very friendly and helpful. Excellent base for our Hogmanay getaway!

Lovely room and very comfortable

Lovely stay here. The Sheraton is a classic for Edinburgh. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Seems like a random fact but I loved having a nightlight so I didn’t wake my partner in the night. (Usually lights are a problem in hotel moving around in the night)

We love this hotel but the increased prices makes it a bit harder to justify the yearly trip. The big reason we go is for the deluxe room and the spa, previously as a guest it was £25pp to access the full spa but has increased to £35pp for 3 hours. When you are paying £330 for a room I think the additional £70 is a bit steep. This is overall an additional £100 we payed out on this visit compared to previous visit. The spa is brilliant and one of the best we have been to but think a better price when staying in the hotel would be better.
The hotel is first class. The service is second to none. There is really nothing to fault about this hotel apart from the spa price. It is brilliantly located, walking distance from Princess Street and loads of bars restaurants whatever you need its not far. We love this hotel and if you are willing to splurge a bit then I highly recommend it.

Perfect! Friendly staff who were very accommodating. Lovely hotel. Bedrooms very comfortable. We had 2 x deluxe rooms (standard) and they were lovely. On 5th floor so just a walk down corridor to swimming pool (again, lovely) . If your at front on hotel you can probably see the castle. We were at the back - didn’t stay for the view from the room so not bothered by that as a great location. I will be booking this hotel every time I visit now.

Beautiful hotel, staff lovely. Amazing Spa, worth paying extra

Had a wonderful stay, many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. The staff is very helpful. I suggest upgrading to include breakfast and the spa area. It features a heated bubbly outdoor pool on one of the upper floors, as well as a number of saunas / steamrooms. The room we were in was pretty quiet, you could hear some road noise and doors slamming, but quieter than most.

Comfortable bed & pillows. Beautiful view. Attentive staff. Nice club lounge.

The Sheraton is in a great location in Edinburgh within walking distance to most of the main attractions. It is right next door to Brewdog brewery- which was an added bonus and fun to stop in for a pint on our way back from our day’s adventures! The room was exceptionally quiet and the bed was comfortable! We would stay here again!

The service was great, the Continental breakfast was amazing and just overall the care while traveling with an infant was so supportive and great! Words doesn’t do it Justice.

Staff didn't leave toilet paper... phone didn't work or people didn't pick up.. nice enough room, good location, front desk was fast and efficient though... I heard the SPA was fantastic!!

This is an expensive Hotel at about £500 per night. I booked a deluxe room with "Castle Views". The advertised picture of this room shows 3 windows looking out on the view. It is clever photography using a mirror to make the room look larger with better views. Our room had just one window!!
At £500 pernight you would expect more than 1 small tube of moisturiser in the bathroom and more than 1 bath towel each per day plus a hand towel.
The buffet breakfast was fair except no granulated sugar for cereals...I was told to use sugar cubes!! The fried bacon I was told would not be replaced until all the slices (just fat remaining) had been used. Not something one would expect at this price.

This supposed to be a 5* hotel, the service by the staff certainly is but some details detract. The room had no bottles of water, details about the facilities depended upon scanning a QR code on the smart phone which I can’t do, where to eat where to just get a cup of coffee needed the concierge. Expensive and disappointing.

There were clothing articles in the wardrobe of the room from a previous guest. Gym clothing that was dirty. It made my concerned as to cleanliness m; however on checking the room it was clean

The hotel was located in a very convenient area in Edinburgh. The reception was helpful at all times. Food in the Lounge was acceptable - nothing extraordinary.
Would recommend this hotel and location for future travelers.

The bed had what looked like a week old egg yoke rubbed into it.
