Worst night I’ve spent in years. My room was number 409, right next to the elevator. All night long the elevator noise kept me awake…and it’s loud. I was told it was the only room available. Then the issue of the clothes closet door which you had to open using your fingertips in the edge because there was no handle. I could go on but what’s the use.

A nice stay. The lobby is nice, rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. Bathroom is small although shower was great!! Enough storage in room. One elevator stunk of cigarettes when smoke free hotel. That wad to disgusting!!! The restaurant was adequate although service was slow.

The hotel was clean and met my expectations. However, the front desk lady during check-in had an attitude and it was less than welcoming. Despite this, the rest of the staff were pleasant, and the facilities were satisfactory. Overall, it was a decent stay, but improvements in staff attitude would enhance the experience.

The hotel is located on a relarively quiet area of Maryland very close to DC, the room was comfortable and clean, hotel service is good. There are some retail stores for shoping and restaurants near the hotel, there is good public transport facilities to travel to DC and the surrounding areas.

Upon arrival, we needed to request a new room because our bedding had multiple huge stains. They gave us a new room. The bathroom was tiny, and awkward. It had a beam (wall) in the middle of the counter space. The coffee machine in the room didn’t work, and they ran out of coffee in the lobby. They don’t tell us that parking was $30 per night, nor gave us info on breakfast options at check in. I would not choose this hotel again.

The overall experience was good. However, there were 2 things that were not to my liking.
1) $30 per day for parking is absolutely absurd! I booked the room via hotels.com and parking fees was NOT mentioned.
2) No continental breakfast. I travel frequently and this is the first time I stayed at a hotel that did not offer some type of free breakfast. However, I normally stay at a Hilton hotel and these 2 items are provided at no additional cost. The price of the room was no different from what I pay when I book at Hilton.
This needs to be changed.

Centrally located within walking distance to shops and restaurants - super quiet and a short Uber drive to American University. Enjoyed the options for breakfast and the hot cider in the afternoon.

We ended up extending our stay from 3 nights to 6! Great location, clean, quiet, exceptional staff! From Walter at the front desk to the kitchen staff for breakfast - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The Courtyard was clean and the rooms recently updated. We arrived after 9 PM and luckily the restaurant was still open. Every evening there are endless trays of delicious cookies.
Convenient location. Exceptionally friendly staff like Chanda and the ever smiling Domingo.

I was a bit skeptical before my arrival at this hotel because my initial experience didn’t leave a great impression. I called the night before to ask a few questions and confirm my stay and I was placed on hold for over 35 minutes. I stayed with my family for 4 days 3 nights. Once we settled into our room, which was around 7pm, I called to the front desk to ask for more towels, and if the remote control can be replaced because it wasn’t working. In less than 10 mins, the towels were delivered and the maintenance man came and replaced the remote control. The rest of the stay went seamlessly. It was quiet, clean and the staff were very friendly. This particular weekend was busy for the hotel because of sports tournaments happening near by. You would think that the management will have at least two front desk employees working at all times. I noticed that each day I was there, after 6pm, there was only 1 front desk person having to handle the check in, calls and check out to the concession stand. I stood online for 15 mins just to buy some snacks. The staff did there absolute best in trying to manage the amount of people that were waiting but maybe this is something management should review and better prepare for. Also, what threw me off is that the Expedia stated $24 per night for parking at the hotel but upon check in, it was $30. Then i overheard a different front desk employee tell someone else is was $28. Overall, if I were to visit again, I will definitely stay here.

The staff was very friendly and helpful but our stay was not good. First, the parking was listed at $24 per night on our reservation but we were charged $30 when we checked in. We had reserved a room with a King bed and a pull-out sofa for our 7 yr old to sleep on. The pull-out was maybe the size of a twin bed, maybe smaller but with it extended, there was no room left to try to navigate the room. And the hotel doesn't carry bedding that actually fits the pull-out. We had to put queen sheets on the twin size bed. We were told the pull-out would be made up when we arrived and it was not. Our reservation was for 3 people but we only had 2 towels in the room with no bathmat. The bathroom was strangely laid out. There was a post/wall jutting out right as you walked into the bathroom. It was such an odd place to have it and it made getting in and out of the bathroom difficult. You had to fully open the door to get in or out and the door swung so close to the wall jutting out that it was very easy to pinch your fingers between the wall and the door. We were booked for 2 nights and on the first morning, our keys stopped working. Another inconvenience.

My ADA room was perfect. I usually have to call housekeeping for missing or insufficient quantity of items but not here. The dining room had generous food portions

We stay here frequently and it’s serviceable enough but prone to odd problems. Loud groups on the floors and in the lobby, strange delays checking in at the desk, and this time - an inability to activate a digital room key — or to access the hotel from the parking area using the physical room key via the back door (which was locked before the posted time). Nonetheless, it’s fine.

Good stay. Would’ve appreciated housekeeping coming after our first night. Also the shower doors are really terrible - they open “in” and you cannot start the shower without soaking yourself.

Everything started when I arrived in Wednesday I called early and ask if I could check in early they said yes around 1 so I waited in airport until one they and went to hotel and I got there they told me I couldn’t not check in the two gentleman that were there in front desk they don’t know what they were doing. Then on on Wednesday night I couldn’t sleep there was a loud noise and then my restroom sink was not draining the water out it would stay there .
I told them in morning that was Thursday morning I told them about the loud noise and the problem with sink so came back to to hotel and I couldn’t sleep that night either it was triable it was a very bad experience I traveled a lot this been the worst ever this was the first time I ever been to Maryland it was a bad experience in hotel. And when I checked out I told the gentleman in front desk am sorry to say this but they were the same gentleman didn’t know what they were doing I couldn’t understand what they were telling me. It was worse stayed I ever had am sorry if I ever go to Maryland and I know I will go back because my daughter is going to college at Maryland but I will never stay there again it was a bad experience for me.

Marriott Bonvoy must be a low level franchise of Marriott. The decor, location ..real nice, but the quality of the mattress in Room 720 was not Marriott standard. I reserved the room for 2 nights but the bed was so uncomfortable (felt like I slept on the floor), I cancelled, my back could not take another night. I was in town for the Citi Tennis Open, so changes hotels was not in my plan. I'm fit, so when my back was stiff the next morning, I took a closer look at the mattress. I have never stayed in a hotel with such low standard of bedding (see pictures). The website's pictures are deceiving, leading you to believe there are 12-18 inch mattresses. After I advised the desk clerk of the mattress situation, I was not offered a change of room. Worst lodging experience ever. The decor may be 3 star but the bedding was 1 star.
