Took family. Was not aware that I had to request a pet friendly room, so I had to give up my ocean front room for a pet friendly room. Elevators were slow and one of the two rarely worked. Which it broke down while I was in it and had to wait to be let out. Room was not very comfortable. Beds were not great and the ac unit wasn’t good.

It is a beach hotel so it's a bit beaten up (could use remodeling on walls and bathroom--the floors did look new) but it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and the staff was excellent. We brought our dog and she too loved our stay on the beach.

What a great place to stay! Starting at the front desk, with staff checking me in to the staff at the breakfast—I felt happy to be there. Nice people! The room on the 4th floor had a great view of the ocean, and within walking distance of Jennette’s Pier—there was a balcony outside the room, so I could sit and enjoy hearing the waves crashing on the beach. While there is wear and tear on the building, it didn’t detract from the overall comfort of my stay.

My girlfriend and I planned to stay at this location for 3 nights. Upon checking into the room around 8 PM, we were overwhelmed by how bad the room smelled, we were expecting some odor from a pet-friendly room but not this bad. We opened the balcony door and hoped that the smell would go away over night. The next day we noticed that the smell was still there. Upon checking closely in afternoon, we noticed that one of the double beds we hadn't slept in, smelled almost like urine. We quickly ordered room service and made them change all the sheets. The cleaning lady did a good job but sprayed whatever cleaning agent they use all over the floor, leaving it wet for an hour. The pillows are all old, thin and lumpy, we asked for replacements but were only given 2. The bedsheets are paper thin and don't feel comfortable at all. We asked for an upgrade or a different room but were incorrectly told that they had no other options for pet-friendly rooms. Upon discovering the dirty beds, we requested a cancellation of 2 nights, but they only processed the next night's refund since we were 4 hours into the second day. The staff was helpful enough but I wish they would've made more of an effort to shift us to an another room or refund 2 nights. I am very disappointed in this stay. The only good thing was the location which is near to the beach. But I'd rather stay at another similarly priced location near the beach than this hotel.

Location was key for this property being right on the beach. The hotel is tired. My room had a lamp that didn't work, another with no bulb and a third with awful daylight bulb. Only a 1/4 roll of toilet paper. Breakfast had little variety.

The staff, Kenya especially was wonderful, will become our new favorite place to stay. The view of the ocean at sunrise was incredible, great view of the whole beach, great breakfast also.

Stayed for a getaway weekend. Staff and maintenance were very friendly. Room, hallways and outdoor areas were all clean. Easy beach access. Rooms and bathroom were dated but no other issues other than the terrible coffee. We would definitely stay again.

This hotel was 10/15 mins away from the main boardwalk. First we were not happy because of that....but later in morning we were exploring the area, it wasn't that bad at all. Hotel staff were super friendly, hotel was newly renovated, very clean, food was good. If any one consider staying little far from the main location with a good price, it will be a great choice indeed. Btw, there are lots of public parking options near to the boardwalk and so anyone can plan accordingly and spend a good amount of quality time without any problem.

Missrepresented, all you see in the pictures its not true. Dirty all over, heavy odors, unsafe elevator. Reception with very poor or none information about Expedia’s reservations, really bad Costumer Attention. WE Did not STAYED ! We ran …literally …WE RAN!

While the facility has some age and could use some updates, it is in good shape overall. Good beach access and pool. The location is very convenient to the entire OBX area. The staff was professional and the manager texted us daily to see if we needed anything. That was nice touch.

I booked an oceanfront room with balcony. Upon arrival- I was given a room that looked out to the Taco Bell. The Manager said for an additional $600 dollars she would move me to that room. The view of the KFC and Taco Bell was not what I paid for. The manager- Jennifer then said it was my responsibility to call the hotel directly after booking to make sure. Never again!!!! Horrible stay for my family.

I drank some orange juice that was very sour on Wednesday the 15th of july and 5 hours later i was so sick i thought i was gonna end up in the hospital because the stomach pain and vomit would not stop until i through up the orange juice.My wife and I had to cancel our tour,not to mention the carts to take up to the room were horrible,the toilet was stopped up ,and the phone didnt work ,my wif got stuck in the elevator cause it closed so fast and that was a bad experience, the first 15 minutes we were there my bp rose 40 points lol.but the staff was very nice.would not ever stay there again.

Older hotel, 2 elevator banks, only one worked most of the time. Better than average breakfast. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable but small. AC worked well. Great access to beach.
