Excellent staff and hospitality!!

Large property with Nile views. 3 restaurants and 2 pools. However, the "heated pool" was the same temp as the unheated one, wifi didn't reach my room so I had to go to the pool lobby to use the internet. The staff insisted the wifi was fine... Don't think I'd stay there again for the price.

My stay was only for a night, but it was wonderful! The staff was more than helpful and so incredibly kind. I arrived a little before check in and was happy to grab lunch and wait, but they went above and beyond and got me in my room early. They could probably tell I was quite tired. This was my first trip to Luxor, but I have no doubt I will be checking in here again!

Everything was great. One thing I would recommend, is to advise the cleaning staff to double check before walking in the room. We forgot to put the do not disturb sign. Before we knew it, the cleaning guy was walking in our room.

The hotel is very clean and the staffs are very friendly. The hotel manager helped us when we needed some help.

The location and views are stunning, service excellent and great value for money. Pool is lovely by the Nile. Highly recommend

Lovely hotel and staff were polite and respectful. The grounds were well maintained and the pools were nice. Food for breakfast and dinner for half board were good. Luxor was too hot when we visited recently so it was nice to have a place to just chill out at the spaciaous big airconditioned lounge after tours. Resort felt safe. The only thing i find hilarious was, when people check-in and are shown the room, the door access card doesn't work and then wait for a while for them to go down sort it out, and for this type of hotel, i find that crazy. And i noticed it happened to other hotel guests too. Very strange and don't understand why they would allow it (?tipping purposes?). Otherwise, we had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel.

This is the nice located praportie. On front of the Nile river. Hotel had a gate and was close to public axes which was providing a extra security. Staff was freandly and polite. Down part was that they couldn't speak English well ( eaven front desk ). Rooms where outdated. Overall was a good experiance.

It took us half an hour to check in, very slow staff
The room needs renovation, old linens
Food was good
Restaurant staff were too lasy cleaning the tables so we had to walk around 15 min to find a clean table to sit and eat

Great resort with beautiful garden right on the Nile. Lots of good facilities and friendly staff.
Some small items like power points and electrical appliances are outdated, there is a ferry dock next door which had a running diesel engine all day on one day. It spoils the pool area - don’t know what, if anything the hotel could do about that though.

After bouncing around city to city and having a less than stellar room in a cruise ship, Steigenberger Resort Achti was like an oasis. Very reasonably priced, a comfortable bed, and a really quite tasty breakfast buffet with a view that will stay with you the rest of your life. Best breakfast spread I've ever had at a hotel. In the States, hotels that are twice the price give you everything half the quality of Achti.
My only complaint is it feels a little too secluded. I know that sounds silly considering it's called a "resort." But it just kind of felt like I was stuck buying what the hotel was selling.

Normally we booked this 5stars hotel for relaxing and to be calmed, but our last night the hôtel management booked the garden for wedding,Soo Noisy until around midnight!!
Mean we have to still wake until the wedding is finished to sleep 😪
Dommage beacouse the hotel it's very good but when we are in vacation we need relaxing ...

Very accommodating with early check in (came in on night train from Cairo). Staff pleasant - shops around the hotel grounds had shopkeepers that weren’t pushy which was unusual for our experience in Egypt.

This is a dated property on the river bank but away from town. WiFi offered is less than 1mbs reminiscent of speeds from 20 years ago. Hotel staff doesn’t respond to emails from guests before arrival. Hallways are lined with old stained carpets. Bathrooms in the rooms are cramped. Food quality is decent but forgettable. Stay elsewhere.

Inside the property everything was great, but we felt threatened walking outside as local people started asking personal questions

Great Nile location. Breakfast buffet was good.
The bad. Dried feces on top of comforter. Replaced with yellow stained comforter and sheets not properly dried. Replaced with clean comforter no sheets. No apology or acknowledgment from staff. Said the tour director untruthful overpriced say anything to make a sale. Not to be trusted. Friendly staff on arrival ignored when leaving
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Overall not a 5 stars standard. positives: breakfast, great views to the nile and nice shopping area within complex. Negatives: internet, service and size of room and beds. no option for late check out or day use.

The rooms are dated and needs updating badly, but the overall hotel is ok. The shopping located out and to the left of the hotel is great, especially the jewelry store that you see as you first enter the shopping area on the left. The owner of the store is very friendly, kind, welcoming, honest, fair, and will treat you with the greatest respect and care, he's a really cool guy and so is his associate, they're very nice people!!

The hotel is not in the best condition. They definitely need new towels and new sheets. Also, when you eat in their restaurant and put the bill on your room, make sure you take a picture of the bill. When we checked out, the charges weren't correct (it was more than what was actually charged). Welcome to Egypt ;)

The Resort was beautiful but the garbage around the property was awful. People need to quit throwing their garbage into the beautiful Nile River.

A very roomy and comfortable resort right on the Nile. Great room, good breakfast spread and very nice staff. I would definitely stay again.

Awesome sunset view of the Nile!!!

Excellent property at very affordable pricing. Only thing that could be better is the staff at dining who could be more friendly and courteous answering questions.

Was a decent stay. Have received better service at other 5 star hotels but nothing to complain about necessarily. Would recommend as a cheaper 5 star option

Loved it here. Best food I’ve had in Egypt. Lovely room. Gracious staff.

Nice hotel, great breakfast! It’s pretty clean overall and the service was ok. I would stay here again. The area around the resort is pretty sketchy though.

They did not accept my credit card. Cant believe, in 2022 (almost 2023) a Five star resort does not have access to the credit card payment system. They were very reluctant to give me a payment receipt. Finally provided me one where they entered half of the actual amount. I was told that this is the way they save tax!!!!
Location is good. Quality of breakfast is good.

Good hotel for family

Not a good experience. A/C didn’t work even after they “fixed it,” wifi is comparable to a dial-up connection—couldn’t get any work done, Karnak restaurant servers were rude/unpleasant—they look like you’re inconveniencing them and they don’t want to be there. Restaurant hostesses and front desk were nice.
Overall I expected more from Steigenberger—wouldn’t recommend nor go back.

The food was lees than perfect. No flavor or over cooking. Too much oil in the salad for example and all you can taste is oil or no salt as another example. It was also served cold. It was as if prepared quickly by amateurs. But staff so friendly and pleasant to stay. Calm and peaceful. Get trained cooks and this will be too top notch. Cooks with good recipes who make sure food is prepared with care and not thrown together quickly. Something that would make me come back
The food taste is like we have tourists coming all the time we don’t need to care about them coming back. Let’s make it just good enough to eat. The setting is beautiful. It would be nice to enjoy just as beautiful meals.

What's good:
The location is quite good, by the Nile river with good sunset view. Staff are friendly and most of time helpful.
What's bad:
Wifi is unacceptable bad!!! The connection is on and off for most of the time. I cannot watch Youtube with even the lowest resolution quality. We have to disconnect our phones to be able to have our laptop connecting to wifi. Basically, you can consider that there is no wifi here.
Food is also bad, not fresh and choices are very limited. What's worse is that they don't have enough food for the amount of guests staying in the hotel. One day, I have to wait for 15 mins to get a clean cup. Another day, I waited for more than 30 mins and still not able to get a coffee because the coffee machine is not working. Table is left unclean until you chase and grab a staff member to do it for you.
Overall, no way this is a 5-star hotel, I will say maybe an OK 3.5-star hotel, mostly due to its good location.

Internet was terrible and service was very slack and underwhelming. Lovely location and hotel though.

Manager names Mr Mursi did not even bother to meet me face to face despite repeated concerns raised about following issues:
First of all staff communication was appalling. There was a certain degree of arrogance from male staff towards females.
Breakfast was in fact stale. Bread hard as rock, unhygeinic fruit with human hair on it so couldn’t even eat with any satisfaction, tea and coffee station completely chaotic, no clean cups, milk and juices non existant no hot milk available. Almost 5-10 min wait just for tea.
Instead of offering late check out for $30 as is policy, I was asked to book a new room for $65 dollars. This was after explaining that my 4 year old and my pregnant wife was sick after eating probably the unhygeinic breakfast. Ultimately after multiple protests about defrauding me into buying a new room, the ‘manager’ who I never saw once throughout the stay OKayed my request of late checkout.
The Karnak Bar is aweful. When I requested the mint tea they literally brought me mint leaves in boiling water. I am sure even the remotest familiarity with middle eastern culture would have resulted in better service. If you ask for anything the staff stare at you blankly and instead of escalating to a senior they just start getting angry at you.
The staff at the breakfast buffet were horrendous. They kept ignoring my wife’s request for tissue paper and when I pointed out a hair in fresh orange, they kind of blamed me for it until I had to tell them I am BALD.

Property itself was nice. however, when i booked my stay i paid for breakfast included. went to breakfast and they stated i did not have it included even the lady who checked me in stated it was included. i did not like rude they were about it.

This is a modern hotel with high quality of service, but with very reasonable price. Highly recommended to tourists who plan to stay in Luxor. We spent 2 nights in this hotel with great satisfaction.
