This hitel is a 10 star way better than my expectations..absolutely love the hotel, the staff, restaurant, the room was amazing..it was so comfortable, clean and gorgeous..
I will be upgrading to the bigger suite on our next stay,oh we definitely will stay again.

I lived in the area around the Strathallan for about 15 years, so it's nice to be able to stay in my old neighborhood when I visit Rochester. This is a great home base. It was quiet, clean, and the staff was excellent. I also loved that my room had a private balcony.

I only come for the balcony. Otherwise the hotel has fallen ALL THE WAY off and is grossly overpriced for the deterioration that's taking place. Furniture old and dirty, walls with tape to cover scuffs and paint chips, walls and drapes dirty and stained, dusty, room smelled stuffy, etc. I checked in on Wednesday night. Dude was rude. Thursday night dude was nice..

Overall ok…was disappointed they got rid of the pool and expanded their gym. They only mentioned the expanded gym, but not the pool being gone. Kinda messed up our stay.

What a fantastic location! The neighborhood was so beautiful. Convenient walk to many destinations, such as the art museum and theater for a concert. Excellent dining nearby, as well. Highly recommended! We will stay here again.

I really loved the location of the hotel, on-site free parking, a very friendly check-in process and the suite was very lovely. Unfortunately, what looked to be a comfortable bed, was anything but. My young son and I shared it and we both had one of the worst nights of sleep. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The bedding was hard and stiff - so much so that it poked us so much during the night, which kept waking us up. Also, our room was right next to the elevators and the noise from it was extremely loud all night long. I would love to say I would stay again because everything else about the hotel was great, but not getting a good night of sleep is enough for me to look elsewhere for our next visit, which will be in a few months.

Spacious suite with 2 queen beds, balcony, kitchen area. Enjoyed the roof top bar specially the drinks, apps and great view. Are at hotel and had a convenient dinner too with very expensive wine.

The Strathallan is a beautiful hotel in one of the loveliest neighborhoods in Rochester. One notices the front desk staff first and theirs was friendly and welcoming and clearly efficient. The room was clean and decently sized. The gym was lacking in some of the normal things like mats and bands.

Luv Hilton !! Overall disappointed. Called & Asked the front desk to get us near 2 other reservations that were also staying there for our Wedding… Also… Pool, Closed. Hattie’s roof top bar…Closed… And my wedding nite view was of assorted refuse dumpsters…& again, it was doubly mentioned that we were getting married that day……weak..

The furniture in the room needs replacement. The fitness facility is outdated. Needs a rowing machine. The pool was closed. The elevator has a strange smell.

We were so disappointed when we checked in to learn that the pool has been closed for some time with no reopening plan in the near future. The website still stays the pool is open and we had to manage the disappointment with the kids. This isn’t acceptable since we selected this hotel because of the pool. When we asked how this situation could be resolved the person at check in said there was nothing as we booked via Expedia. Urg.

Old and dirty furniture in the room. The room smelled of old cigaret smoke. The paint on the wall was dirty and scratched and the wall paper in the bathroom was coming off. I payed 680$ per night for accommodations resembling a motel not a luxury hotel.

The location of the Strathallan is superb! It’s so close to great coffee, dining, and shopping. The staff was friendly and helpful, lays of good amenities on property if you opt to use them.

There was a party and people smoking weed in the room below us at 3am. Nothing was done about it because we called again at 3:45am. Woke up both our children, and didn’t get much sleep because of this. For a one night stay, this was highly disappointing.

Hotel common areas very nice. Rooms spacious and clean. Only negative was it was noisy above our room on the 4th floor. Restaurant for breakfast was great and the fire pit outside is huge and amazing.

Room was large, but didn’t smell fresh. Would be nice if they aired the room out since there were sliding glass doors.
Shower stall leaked water out into the rest of the bathroom. It’s a handicapped room so understand the issue but it should be remedied.
No soap holder in the shower.

Rooftop fire pit and bar are amazing. The food and service at Char is excellent. My suite is very spacious. Enjoyed our stay.
