The resort itself is beautiful. If you want to go to the pool, you will need to get up very early and reserve your spot.. By 8am all lounge chairs were spoken for....although nobody was in them! They have a great fitness center with steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. One of the two pools has a jacuzzi.
The room was fine....not great bedding and smelled like cigarettes, though they do not have smoking rooms per se.It felt very old.
We asked for more blankets and towels three times before getting them and the blankets were thin and stained. However, at checkout we were very well taken care of and compensated. Also, nice touch, they give you warm cookies and water bottles at check in.
Overall, I would stay here again.

The double tree stay is located in a confident area of Scottsdale. We stay at this hotel while on a spring break trip. However, there are some areas that I believe are lacking at this location. First their WiFi is not a secure network. Also our room had a patio deck however the deck was completely damage. The screen door to our patio deck was completely off of the patio. The room was very clean and room service was very nice and always available. If I could give this hotel stars I will give it 8 stars.

My daughter and I had a great time at hotel and it was so close to old town. Beautiful location. Just a little advice if you’re going to save a pool chair in the morning make sure you put a personal item on them and not just towels. 2 mornings we put towels on chairs only to come back a couple hours later for them to be taken.

The first thing to know about Scottsdale is that it is extremely expensive. I never paid $400 for a slightly oversized hotel room before. And then with the resort fee and taxes the rate was nearly $500 per night. The property is showing its age: old and low toilet; bathroom fan that sounds like a jet engine; and my room key didn't work more than a few times. Two major complaints: it was impossible to utilize the shuttle service - it was unavailable for both days until well into the PM, and there was a fairly long wait when it was available; and the other issue I had was room service - I don't expect new sheets and towels everyday, but it was late into our 3rd day that we were asked that we needed towels, not cleaning, and then the morning we were checking out there was someone at the door offering to clean the room. A bit too late with the wastebaskets overflowing and the toilet paper nearly out. Other hotels in the area are just as expensive, but I hope they would offer a better level of service than the property we stayed at.

We still love this place, after nearly 40 years of staying here through all its ownership changes. The ease of parking and getting into your room is one of the bigger attractions; we also find it very relaxing and quiet. Pools and coffee bar were a little too busy for our liking, but we learned that it was spring break! The room/beds are comfortable, the gym is nice, and the staff is very helpful and pleasant. And the price is always very reasonable when compared with other properties in the same area.

Staff was great but rooms need a good clean, bathroom door chipped and was pretty scuffed up/dated. The only thing that was really disappointing was there wasn’t enough chairs at pool and people had them reserved by 7am but didnt show up until noon. Food was great and breakfast package well worth it!

Nice grounds, near restaurants.

Nice place, but I expected a better room for the price. Shouldn’t charge a resort fee when it already is too expensive. Balcony is nice to have!

Overall our stay, my spouse and I enjoyed and relaxed. Beautiful ambiance. We suggest that the toilet definitely needs to be replaced. Evidently, you’re not conserving water when flushing. Needs to upgrade the quality of all toilets. What a shameful waster water. Toto or Kohler toilets are water-efficient type would be better.
Having said that, the hotel is lovely place to spend quality time.

LIKED LARGE ROOM LOOKING OUT TO POOL. ONLY NEGATIVE THE PROPERTY FEELS DATED, OTHER THAN THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND.

Very delightful hotel with all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely esthetics with hotel lined with lemon 🍋 trees that guests can partake in. Hotel was within walking distance of most attractions, eateries, mall. All within a 1.3 to 2 mile radius. Hotel was situated in a very upscale area and very safe. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here many times in the early 2000s. The property now needs a good power wash on the walkways as they’re dirty the elevators are cracked and have had minimal floor restored. Just really dated and needs some love. The staff was friendly and lovely. As usual, the coffee bar was understaffed. For seven hours that hasn’t changed. But I understand staffing situation‘s are unavoidable sometimes.

The stay was nice and the restaurant food was good. The only thing is the bed was uncomfortable and it was lumpy. But, other than that everything was great and the staff were a help.

I expected a lot more for a property that is described as a resort.
This is like a spring break hotel on the gulf coast. The rooms are old and dirty. Stains on furniture, stains on the floor, the door has cracks on the bottom you can literally see at least as inch outside.

Jeff at the front desk was great. First room was not to our liking. Got a better room for us. Very personable and helpful.

I chose this property at last minute and so glad I made the choice. Beautiful Hotel with the Christmas Decor and Starbucks Coffee House inside Hotel, loved it!
Large TV in room although the only advise I have is to upgrade TV to Smart TV. I could not watch Youtube or other Apps on this TV as it only has basic channels plus Showtime (which was great).
Overall, I would come back again. Great staff!

I got charged $33.95 as a $30 resort fee that was taxed, not mentioned when being booked. Parking spaces are limited, especially when they have events onsite. And the someone was smoking a good one because the area around our room when you walked outside the door reeked of skunky marijuana. I thought mary jane had evolved these days into scentless sticks you can smoke or be condensed down into butter in brownies and eaten but someone didnt get the memo because they were old time reefers. Other than that the room was fine, location is close to dining and shopping and its in a nice area with healthy looking coyotes that run across the street in the early morning so if you go outside bring a stick, to beat the coyotes or the reefers that might attack you.

We had a very large burn spot in the carpet 3x5 inches
Also paid extra for a pool view and were given the ground floor with a four foot hedge totally blocking the view
That was disappointing

An old dingy, unkempt property. Would not recommend. It’s dated. It was not clean. Huge backup at Checkin. Head down the street to better properties.

We got in at 12:15am and had no one at the front desk to check us in. When we called no one answered. So we had to go find a bartender at one of the restaurants to try and help us. Took a while til someone finally showed up. Then checking out no one was there again and finally when someone did show up they couldn’t get into the system so they said they would email me the receipt and never did. Still not sure if I’ll be charged extra.

Some of the lobby people were very rude. No please and thank you.

Great hotel and facilities. Excellent location with nearby restaurants and on site dining. Convenient for Old Scottsdale.
Only negative comment was a lack of room service during our five night stay, which was eventually corrected by the management.
Overall we would stay again in the future.
