Very spotty service. On each day we requested ice. One day, never got it. Another day, arrived in minutes. Third day, told us to call room service who wanted to charge for bucket. Get your desk training consistent! Rest room in lobby out of service for over a day. Sent us next door! Are you kidding? Housekeeping came at 5:00 p.m. we were out all day, so they show up near dinner?

It's a big hotel with a casino so that means it's always full of guests. Only 2 regular elevators to the accommodation is not enough. There are 2 VIP elevators but regular guests can't ride on them. We had to access the Sky Theatre and some of the building was closed, so we had to fight our way through the casino. We needed signs!! The fan in our bathroom went the entire time we were there. Room was clean and comfortable. At reception when we checked in we weren't given a card for parking that would provide the $35 per day fee, so when we inserted our parking card it read $96. Be sure to give your guests who are self-parking the card they need!

We were happy in this hotel. Great service, friendly staff and spacious room. Not a great view (solid lump of concrete forming base of sky tower. Very quiet with zero noise from adjoining rooms. Would stay here again. Loved the vibrant street food on sale just outside the hotel

For the price you pay for an international hotel a minimum expectation would be to have water available in your room without asking for it. The room had a mini bar set up without anything in it. Reception service was poor.

Better than we expected. Room was spacious and clean, bed was huge, firmed and comfortable. Bathroom was super clean, like new and with a good size shower.Staff was helpful; we have an early flight into Auckland airport and got to the hotel around 9 am after 20 hours of flight from the states. The staff was able to find a room to check us in before 11 am, that helped us tremendously.

Generally good. We were grateful for any early checkIn. Large comfortable room. The instructions to get ice on the tv were wrong. However once we were able to order ice, it was delivered very quickly. Not generous with amenities, (no shower cap, tiny pieces of soap) Lobby furniture was extremely uncomfortable.Check out procedure took way too long, multiple steps and questions. Orbit restaurant had good service and views but just average food and terrible cocktails.

I had higher expectations especially for a hotel in Skycity, our bathroom didn’t have a bath and the tv didn’t function properly. At many other hotels tv channels are free but you had to pay for it here. Personally don’t think this hotel is worth the price.

It’s a great location as able to walk to most places, from the wharfs to Auckland Museum. Service is good and there’s lots of restaurants around. The spa is excellent!

Conveniently located nice hotel. Unfortunately we didn't take advantage of the casino, but it seemed lively. The staff were helpful and the room was an excellent place to recover from our 14 hour flight. The showers were very nice. Parking for the two days was about 110NZ.

Our booking catered for what we wanted. Just a quiet night away to celebrate my husbands 50th. Restuarants available on site as well as within walking distance. Glad I included breakfast as was nice to head down for brekky and have time to head back to room relax and then check out.

This is a one night stay for a solo traveler heading back to the US. I booked this hotel because it was walking distance to the airport bus. Fast easy check in. Excellent rooms. Good restaurants and cafes around. I walked to the waterfront for dinner. It is next to sky tower. I would stay here again.

Room was amazing. Sound proof and had black out curtains. Lovely big bed and bathroom with a great Shower. Needed to have this kind of room due to flying direct from the UK.

Perfect in all respects with one exception The room cleaning was not done when we got back to our room at approx. 3.15pm after our day in the city. Hotel mgmnt informed who also promply reconnected giving us a relevant compensation for the inconvenience. Prior to staying at Sky City Hotel this our latest visit we have used other hotels in Auckland but have found Ski City Hotel to be 'optimal' for our needs and exceptations. We have now chosen Ski City Hotel on multiple (consecutive) times over the last years for price/performance/service quality reasons why we consider "the room cleaning incident" during our most recent visit as nothing more than "a little bump in the road...." Over time - Ski City Hotel can be highly recommended
