I checked in and was in my room less than 1hour & saw ANTS crawling on the remote control. I immediately grabbed my bag & went back to the front desk to check out & ask for a refund. I was told I couldn’t get a refund, only another room. At this point why would I trust that there aren’t bugs there too?!! It looked clean but I just don’t do bugs at all!! Customer service is a 0 though because for the fact they had bugs & wouldn't give me a full refund. Apparently if you’re in your room longer than 20mins refunds aren’t allowed.

The hallways had a vaping and sour smell but the room was not bad. The signs say no smoking anywhere but there is clearly some violations in the common area. The food service team for each day were very nice and attentive.

We had never stayed at a Sonesta before this trip, so we weren't sure what to expect. This hotel is just OK and for the budget traveler. The front desk service was fine. They only clean the room every seven days, so we asked for extra towels on our second night because we were only given three for our room for a three night stay. They had no extra towels or wash cloths, so we were given pool towels. The condition of the hotel common areas is not great. Lots of worn looking carpet and beat up walls. The hallways do smell like food and sometimes pot. People had dogs in their rooms that barked occasionally but left large piles of poop in the mulch of the flower beds outside the building door that was never cleaned. The pot smell and poop are not the hotel's fault, but just be aware. The room was OK. It was clean, but just worn looking. I booked through hotels.com where there was no mention of a parking fee. When we got to the hotel there was no mention of a parking fee from the front desk, but we were given a paper with breakfast times that also mentioned there's a $6/day parking fee and you need a parking pass. We asked the front desk about the fee that night and were told that sometimes they charge it and sometimes they don't. Still not sure if we were charged the fee or not because we booked through hotels.com where no fee is showing. Overall, it was ok for the price, but we won't be staying at a Sonesta again.

We have stayed at this location many times and usually have a good experience, but this time was very different! Our room was very run down and dirty. The cabinets where falling off the hinges, the fridge looked like it got into a fight, very dirty air vents blowing air on us, cigarette burns every where, couch was broken down, and our TV didn’t work. We were told the TV would be looked at never given the option to switch rooms when the parking lot was empty so I know they had extra (TV was never fixed). We won’t be staying here again.

Great job

Furnace was next to bed and it was very loud. Couldn’t sleep without turning it off. After turning off the furnace then I realise there’s a carbon monoxide or some other kind of detector installed on the ceiling very close to the bed. It produces a ticking sound kind of like a clock and is very disturbing when I have turned everything else off and try to fall asleep.

The hotel is close to all sorts of shopping and restaurants which is nice. Receptionist was very friendly. The hall was filthy and smelled strongly of dog urine which was a shame because the room itself was very clean and roomy.

The hotel is situated mere minutes away from the mall, so it was nice to be able to walk around there on days when there wasn't much planned. A lot of restaurants were also nearby, but ordering delivery is probably inconvenient in the aspect of needing to leave the room and go to the main doors - Everything is secured and locked, so you can only get in with a working room key. More of a thought than a complaint though! I did genuinely enjoy the place.

Cleaning and bedding

The staff were rude and when we arrived we had to be walked to our room because the key cards would not work on that side of the hotel and they would not change our room to a side where the key cards did work

I enjoyed my room. It was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath-great for company.

Overall, the place is great. Rooms are clean and the staff is nice. My only complaint is that too many people smoke near the entrance doors. They just drop the cigarette butts and the stench is awful. There’s a couple of people that smoke weed as well near the doors or by the fire pit.

Trash on the ground in common areas outside and in the parking lot. The main hallway to my room smelled like heavy smoke. The elevator smelled like "Mary Jane" so bad that it was like taking a second hand hooka hit. My room was nice and clean. But overall the general visitors in the area are probably ruining the grounds.

Great Customer Service

The staff was phenomenal!!! Amazing team! Nevertheless it smelled like we were at a doggie daycare. The smell was horrible. They tried to disguise it with smell goods but it didn’t work. The condition of the hotel was pretty old. Breakfast was cool. Building need to be upgraded

Although the room was clean and we were comfortable, the hallway smelled terrible. I can’t pinpoint exactly what it was. Check in was smooth and the gentleman was very polite and kind. I would stay again for a night away as a local resident. If it were not for the smell, this would have been perfect for what it was!

Well located. They only clean the room every 7 days…

I had them change us to different Suits because the first room had roaches, closet door was broken and shelves was falling out. The second room was little better but the oven was very dirty.

Our room was horrible! We have stayed at other Sonesta's and have had a great experience. This room was was so stained from carpet, chairs, and couch - I had to put down a towel and where shoes in this room. It was awful. It smelled like smoke and pet odor. Never will stay there again. This room needs to be gutted.

My room had roaches and the shower had mold. It was awful

Very comfortable and clean room. The people that prepared the food were always so friendly and willing to help. I was told there were carts to carry luggage but I never got to see them. Had to carry my luggage. Not fun. Hotel is located near lots of shops and restaurants. I would recommend.

The front desk staff are exceptional. I never write reviews, but they deserve to be commended. A special shout out to the gentleman working late evening/early night. He was super helpful and pleasant. The room is excellent. Spacious and everything wonderfully clean. Just a super comfortable room, bed, shower. Great water pressure, work area, and the tv is the best I’ve seen in a hotel recently, especially with the free Showtime and the ability to search through movies.
