It was disappointing that the hotel is being picketed.
Several venues within the hotel are not open, or open with reduced hours.
We found our room very clean, and the staff most accommodating and friendly, especially in the restaurant.

We were contacted by the hotel the day of check in to let us know we would have to cross a picket line to enter. It was too late to be able to cancel the reservation without penalty and we were very upset about it. The hotel does not have a sign at the entrance (looks like it was ripped off) so it was hard to find the door. In our first room the heat was broken so they moved is to a different room that smelled very musty and had a huge wet patch on the floor near the window. We informed the front desk and they said they would send maintenance to check it out but it was still soaking when we checked out. Our key cards stopped working three times and there was no hot water for showers. The staff were all very pleasant but they are sort of working with an impossible building. Dining staff were very lovely too.

Wish i had known about the strike before i booked a nonrefundable stay. The only plus is the location was close to my conference. The hotel is old and hot tub not available.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and the whole place was on strike… meaning we couldn’t get need other hotels usually have. lip boom was found on the nightstand I took pictures of it and the air condition wasn’t working so we were freezing our butt off. We took hours trying to figure out how the shower worked because it wasn’t working for us and yes before you ask us how on earth didn’t you know how to turn on a shower… look at the photo and come back to me there’s no knob. I wouldn’t recommend it for most people but for 86 dollars a night, I guess you get what it is worth.

Hotel is pretty run down. The staff try to be friendly but it doesn’t cover up the over ground home quality hottub, the broken bed, subpar room cleaning

We were in town for 2 days before christmas. The staff were very freindly and helpfull, even with the picketers outside, the shaw cable being down they did their best to be sure our stay was the best it could be. We were even given a small christmas gift from the hotel on christmas eve.
Only downside was that the hotel itself is really starting to show its age, hopefully it will stay running long enough to get the tlc it needs.
Definitly would stay there again.

Showed up, they said my reservation was canceled so they had to re-book me in. They didnt inform us that there was no TV and the hot tub was out of service when i called a few days prior and they said it was working. There was minimal staff as they were on strike.

The regular staff is on strike no soap or shampooin the bathroom the room had the heat turned off so it was 60 F when we got into the room. Our room was a long walk from the front desk through cold hallways. We were told we could not have breakfast when we asked about it. Towels had seen better days as they where worn out.

Walls are very thin. Very noisy. Was the not warned the hot tub was closed.

Pool and hot tub didn’t work. When the pool did become operational, it was ice cold.

Found out while enroute about the strike so was unsure of what to expect. The remaining staff were doing an excellent job! Hotel was very clean, restaurant meal was great and decent priced. Breakfast was simple continental style. Pool area was clean and nicely styled, pool water could've been heated more as was colder than a lake but we did enjoy the small hot tub. Would stay here again

I was a little worried when I booked because I knew the Heritage Inn had been a mainstay in Moose Jaw for many years. I was completely blown away. From the fresh and inviting lobby to our large renovated king room, the hotel did not disappoint. Don’t expect a hot buffet breakfast but there were plenty of options with juice and great coffee! Next trip through Moose Jaw we’ll definitely book there again.

Workers were on strike and breakfast was a paper bag full of trash food

A pleasant stay overall. Very quiet.

Staff was nice. Property could use an update. Continental breakfast wasn’t great. Powdered orange juice and no real hot food aside from toast. Backs on to a golf course so that was nice. Food from the bar was really good. Hot tub is an actual hot tub someone would have at their house. It sat on the deck beside the pool.

Beds were comfortable and clean. Finishes are getting a little rundown. Hot tub needed a bunch of work, most setting were broken. Restaurant was good. Didn’t like that some employees were protesting a lock out for a contract that has been in negotiations for 3 years. Feel bad for them and hope they receive a fair deal

The sink was broken and stuck in the on position in our room, but other that that it was clean and very quiet.

Breakfast could have been a bit better.

Just want to alert future potential guests that this hotel's unionized staff have been locked out in their contract negotiations. Those union members are picketing outside the hotel and you will have to cross a picket line in order to stay in the hotel. Doing that was distasteful to us, but because we had no heads up before the time in which I could've cancelled without financial penalty, we had little effective choice but to stay the one night we had booked. We were deeply uncomfortable having done this and it negatively impacted our stay.

When we drove up to hotel we were approached by striking employees encouraging us to leave and go elsewhere and to not support the restaurant. This happened every time we left and returned to the hotel. There was no fan in the bathroom and an odd smell to the room. The staff we did encounter were friendly.
Have stayed there before which is why we booked with them again. First stay was definitely much better. Will probably not stay there again

Good location close to restaurants and stores in Moose Jaw. Hard to find at night due to sign being completely burnt out.

Very clean both in lobby and rooms.
Sadly hot breakfast not available on Sundays but bag breaky was good.
Pool looked clean and inviting.

Don’t be fooled by the photos, this hotel has nice furniture and linens but the rooms themselves are 10 years overdue for a renovation. Staff is great, but the free breakfast is extremely limited, with only 3 items (potato wedges, powdered eggs and bacon).

This hotel was more than adequate. Restaurant and bar on site was not open every day but there were plenty of others near by to choose from. Let's face it.....nothing was more than a 10 minute drive away in Moose Jaw.

Terrible service! The moment my wife and I walked into the hotel, we were treated as intruders. The male front desk staff, Parshwa treated us with utmost disdain. He did not greet us let alone welcome us as guests.
My wife and I are frequent travelers and we came to the hotel after a long drive from Banff to lay our heads for a few hours before getting back on the road. Before booking we had spoken to Mylene at 10pm to confirm it was ok to check in at around 3 to 3:30 am, our expected arrival per GPS.
Parshwa asked if we reserved our room directly with the hotel or via third party. We confirmed it was through a third party (hotels.com) and he immediately gave us a nonchalant facial expression like we were not allowed or suppose to do that. He then spent some time on his computer and said our room was no longer available. His reasoning was that we were an hour later than what was communicated to him by his colleague. Because we showed up after midnight he gave us 2 options, pay $200 for the type of room we reserve or stay in a pet room for the $110 we reserved via hotels.com. He walked us to the pet room which smelled terrible and appeared unclean. When we asked why he couldn’t give us a room he protested he needs house keeping approVal to go into the room, despite him walking us to the pet room!
Even though we called ahead of time, Parshwa was utterly unprofessional and was unwilling to provide us nothing but the pet room unless we paid double.
