The property was beautiful! Belize is an amazing country with super nice people! The Mayan ruins were awesome to see and explore! The food choices were limited and the dining times were also. Had to go out into town to get better options.

I loved that this hotel had a lot of extra ways for visitors to get to know Belize. They had a fantastic story telling night by the fire pit. It gave a sweet glimpse into the culture of Belize. Might need more al la carte options on the cafe menue.

When I arrived to the property, at first glance I thought is was beautiful and amazing. The staff were great. Love the knowledge and how out going Caption Larry and Big Baby were during my stay. As time went on, I started having issues. First I had to request toilet paper 3 times. I later found 2 screws at the bottom of my pool on my deck. My air in the room didn’t work that well. The food in the restaurant wasn’t the best. Power went out a couple times during the stay for over 30 minutes. I was surprised how nice looked, that they didn’t have any power backups. The railing on my balcony had rotten wood. And on my last day, my water in the shower and sink stop working. When I reported to the front desk, I was informed that a pipe burst. I was never offered any compensation for the inconvenience. This could be a really nice place if the ownership would spend more on repairs.

I liked that the rooms had private pools with colored lights and a sitting area, very nice. My room #25 was nicely designed, unlike my brother and sil's room where the first thing you saw was a toilet. The lock on my outside door broke, and it had to stay unlocked for the majority of the stay. The glass door was difficult to lock and unlock, you had to get the hang of it. Consider doing more preventative maintenance and changing to a card key entry. The staff is top notch. I forgot to tip the lady who brought back my laundry. I was distracted by a call and I am truly sorry.

Beautiful property, good food, overpriced and mixed customer experience. The framework for an amazing resort are in place, but the hospitality and attention to facilities is still very much in its infancy. There needs to be more welcomeness and warmth from staff during interactions. Too many times I felt like I had to earn their attention or incentivize them. Management team was helpful when concerns were raised. I’m confident that soon the experience will better align with the prestige this resort strives to reflect.
