Almost all the staff are absolutely wonderful. The beds are comfy and the rooms are large, quiet and clean. There are dog friendly rooms available. The breakfasts are tasty and filling. It is a relaxing and pretty hotel. The pool is very nice and open quite long hours (6:30am-9:30pm weekdays). They have some really good deals on bookings sometimes!
They could do with putting some money into redecorating. There was some peeling wallpaper, a slightly broken TV and a leaky shower door in our room. The staff seemed over-stretched so during busy periods I would expect more people to be working. The drinks are a tad expensive.
Overall we had an amazing time staying here, we would just like to see them invest some more into their hotel.

Lovely one night relaxing stay, staff very friendly, bar service good, dinner menu good, food lovely, prices very reasonable for a hotel. Good selection of hot and cold breakfast options.
Lovely big comfortable clean bedroom.
Looked to be in lovely grounds that you could have a nice walk in but we never had time for that.

Decent hotel with charm. Spa was pleasant. Cleanliness needs improving throughout.

The hotel is a little bit tired and in need of some TLC. The rooms don’t have enough plugs where they are needed and the windows need replacing. The dinner menu was lovely but a little pricey. Breakfast was lovely though. We were also put in a disabled room which was strange. The bathroom sink was so low.

Hotel had great customer service, friendly and helpful. Pool and sauna where good. Breakfast and dinner was delicious.

Whilst the hotel is quite adequate and it was nice to have the pool facilities the restaurant and bar were very disappointing.
I ordered a beer prior to eating and had to return it as it was off (either old or pipes not cleaned properly) , the bartender seemed disinterested?..had a bottled beer as a replacement.
Ordered the butter chicken but very mediocre.
Big gripe is that they charge £16 for a glass of wine which I think is just profiteering!
I do stay in a number of hotels through the year on business and don't generally leave comment as most times okay, but on this occasion I felt the need to comment

Nice and quiet. Comfy bed. Nice pool and gym. Nice breakfast, and unusually for a hotel, decent coffee.

Check in was quick but first room was so far away we couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi or get a decent signal. Got moved to a different room and it had no robes ,slipper,it towels, had to phone and get them delivered. Also tv remote didn’t work.
Dinner was ok but service very slow. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. 44754f06-6af5-4b60-8afb-014806c8de30

Booked a last minute break for over the Christmas period. Loved every minute of my stay. Staff were lovely, welcoming and friendly and found time for short chats with this solo traveller.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and prompt in addressing any specific dietary requirements. Well done team. Bar menu was limited but food freshly made.
The gym, pool, sauna etc were open to guests on Christmas Day, this is not the norm at other hotels I’ve stayed at over Christmas.
Very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Awful room very unhappy. Bedding crumpled lights in bathroom and also bedroom didn’t work. Women up by bin men at 6am. No info in room re price of breakfast or timings. Wrong towels left. Tv not working barman came to room to fix it was set for PlayStation so that’s why it wouldn’t work. Not a restful stay at all. Was told manager would speak to me re this complaint it’s now 5 days and they have not returned my all.

The room given to me was dirty cobwebs in the bathroom poor room and dirty.

Felt a little dated. Double room was two single beds pushed together so keep splitting during the night making it hard to stay comfortable/asleep.
Wifi was weak in my room and disconnected frequently.
Sink was slow to drain.
Overall, perfectly fine for staying for work in the area and the facilities of the hotel are of a high standard, but the rooms aren't as comfortable as a more modern hotel

It was quite noisy during the night, i could hear doors shutting loudly. I left wet towels in the bathroom as there was a puddle os water on the floor after i had a shower. There were clean towels left in the room when i got back in the evening but the wet towels were all still in the bathroom. Apart from this 1 complaint the rooms were pleasant

Was up visiting family for a christening so just a quick overnight stay. Sadly didn’t get to use any of the facilities. This hotel is set in beautiful grounds and was dog friendly

Nice people, nice place, good sleep and breakfast good.
However, the decor in our room was very tired, peeling wall paper and generally dated style. Room lighting very poor - not enough and sometimes not working , limited amount of plugs for charging devices for a family room. TV very small, intermittently would not switch on and limited entertainment available. Generally, hotel needs an upgrade. The interior feels neglected.
Nice to have the Gym pool and spa on offer, but equally needing to update.

Disappointing. Room was tired and there were bits of cleaning that could have been better. On checking in we’re told that the pool was out of action after the boiler had broken down, appreciate this was out of their control but wasn’t ideal when we chose the hotel as it had a pool and we had 2 kids with swimming stuff in hand ready to go a swim. Feel we could have been informed prior to arrival, I got at least 2 emails from them in the days prior to our stay.
Since our stay we sent 2 emails direct to the hotel to highlight these concerns but have had no reply.
On a positive, breakfast and staff at breakfast were good.

Very disappointed. Room was old and tired. Wallpaper was coming off ceiling and wall. Electrical outlet didn’t work. Shower was old and had black mold.

Great 2 days dinner b&b break. Restaurant food excellent. Served full cooked breakfast all piping hot. Stayed Sunday/Monday to avoid busy Friday/Saturday stay.

Hotel was dated. Room was extremely dated with unsafe carpet which moves as you walk. Rusted screws and mirrors in bathroom. Mattress was like a camp mattress from years ago. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. I’d give it a 1 or 2 star

Hotel was nice. Booked on Half Board but not advised neither at check in or in the restaurant that their was a £30 limit for evening meal . I asked if the venison on the menu was included and was told yes, then advised I have an additional bill to pay!

Great loaction with good view. Helpful and friendly staff.

Nice hotel and great spa/pool. Remote and I'd recommend a taxi into town for supplies essential. Breakfast only served up to 9.30 (sharp). Bacon roll would be 13 quid as they charge an £8 tray charge for a £5 roll. Free bus shuttle running for the Ukraine's who stay for free. £13 for a cheese sandwich with side salad. Didn't order anything but loved the pool. Would stay again but I'd bring plenty supplies. Local restaurants deliver and there is a great choice in town. Japanese and nepalise restaurants are out of this world. One of the receptionists was a wee bit rude and had little information to share "I'm not from here!" Perhaps not but you are being paid to provide a service so get yourself clued up as holiday makers do tend to ask silly questions. Apologies for interrupting your busy day..... Everyone else fell over themselves to assist and help (with a smile)

Wonderful Stay , Very nice rooms and very well maintained.

Hotel service was terrible, room cleaning was not done at arrival and even not done next day. After many complains on 3rd day room was get cleaned but only bed sheets were made up, rubbish all over the floor. Really disappointed with the service.

Beautiful surroundings yes the decor could do with some TLC but clean, staff were excellent in reception and restaurant
Food above expected on half board basis could do with a little more choice of mains overall a good hotel

I stayed for 4 nights on a bed and breakfast rate. The buffet breakfast was poor every morning. The buffet was sparse with items running out and not being replaced. Staff were frequently being asked if there was more food available. Small amounts were brought out but no one was overseeing the buffet to ensure a high standard was maintained throughout the times breakfast was available. It took 24 minutes from arriving and ordering coffee to coffee being served.
Room service was poor. I returned to my room at 3pm and the room had not been serviced. I then had to visit reception to request this was done. It then took 20 minutes for anyone to attend the room and 3 subsequent trips for room supplies to be brought.
The shower also leaked and the bathroom floor was soaking from this.

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff are great- unfortunately over our past few stays we’ve seen the hotel doesn’t appear invested in and is really showing it’s age. Marked and work bedding by, leaky showers, wallpaper falling off, holes and rotten wood. Sad really as it’s a beautiful place!

Hotel overall was nice. We found service in the bar very slow as only one member of staff serving. Breakfast time very disappointing. Queued for 20 minutes to be seated. Tables not cleared. Had to ask for juice glasses, tea and toast. Long wait, had to ask again. Very little hot food available at 9.30am even tho this was the time we booked. Food not replenished, other people after us had no hot food at all. When I say 'hot' food, it was barely warm. Lots of guests complaining about the service both at the bar and at breakfast. All the staff are young with no senior presence to guide them? For a Mcdonald hotel 4 star we expected it to be better on these points. Pool area was nice and relaxing and we enjoyed using the facilities which was a bonus. Our overall opinion is that if improvements were made on the breakfast and on the staffing side, this hotel would be worthy of its 4 stars.

We had a three night break here - hotel on the whole was good - nice sized room at the front of the hotel with a nice view of the gardens.
Breakfast first day was table service with continental, cereals, fruit etc buffet style and ran really smoothly - days 2 and 3 were self service and complete chaos - hot food was not checked properly for quantity and people standing around waiting for food to be topped up and having to ask for certain items. They seemed to be short staffed - our complimentary tray was never refilled we had to ask for coffee and milk at reception 2 days running.
Fab restaurant just along the road Carrigans with a good menu and fab service - drove to train station and used the park and ride - was easy to get to Glasgow for £5.30 return each. Trains every half hour till late evening. And parking free when you buy a train ticket.

The hotel was pretty dated, they didn’t clean our rooms, the facilities were fairly basic in the meeting room. It was ok, it was functional! But probably wouldn’t recommend it!!!
3.0
It is a nice hotel just dated, There are not enough outlets for charging devices (we unplugged the tv) and the tub didn't drain well, water pressure seemed low with the toilet, the mattresses were lumpy. It was our mistake booking a place quite outside of the city of Glasgow and further from the airport and we had thought the cancellation policy was 48 hours, but it was not an expensive hotel. Staff was not terribly helpful at check in but there was a wedding going on and unhappy guests complaining about a toilet back up I believe. The facilities appear lovely in photos but we didn't have time to check out ourselves.

Pretty sure they stole a star from some where, or haven’t been rated in 30 years. The staff were trying their best.
