Room was basic, no tissues. Bed was horrible. One side was broken you slept in a dip. Pool was under construction so no available.

Stayed 3 nights, no housekeeping services, stained linens and moldy bathroom.

The room was very clean, staff friendly and cordial. Walking distance to Venice shopping district.

This place states online that it’s updated and the cleanest in Venice. When we walked into the room, we were overwhelmed with how poor the condition was. No electricals worked. My husband got the manager and he pulled the table away from the wall and flipped the switch on the power strip. I asked to be moved to another room, there was another building that looked newer. First, the manager said there was no availability, then he said he would check. He came back with a key to one of these rooms. It wasn’t much better. It seemed to have new roll vinyl on the floor and the bathroom had been updated with a new shower, sink, toilet and faucets. The room was still truly dreadful. The bed was awful and the pillows were hard as rocks. The bedding was all polyester, the room smelled of mildew. There was only one floor lamp. The furniture looked like it came from Goodwill. The photos on the hotel’s website tell an entirely different story and in my opinion they are guilty of bait and switch. I would rather sleep in my car than in one of these rooms.

Property was older and in need of updating. Room heater was marginal and difficult to adjust. Electrical system was dated and needed to be redone. Room was clean and the clerk at check in was helpful. Good reasonable place to stay for a short time.

Property is being renovated and our room was OK, however most of the property looks like people live there. Linens are in need of replacement, however, the bed was very comfortable and the furnishings of the room were newish. It's obvious the family running it is trying very hard and I wish them the best. We had stayed at a sister property a couple years ago (which was also under renovation) but was definitely better kept. They were very friendly and I wish I could give them a better review but would really have appreciated a more informative review before we booked the room.

Service was great! My room had an odd smell, and the bed was old and not the most comfortable I have slept on, but it was OK. I will be back again.

The place is a disgrace and we are surprised it’s allowed to stay open. For almost $200 a night it was disgusting. Filthy bathroom old stained linens and a trailer with the hotels trash in it parked in front of our room for night number two. Dirty and disgusting.

I visit SW Florida for business every December-January and I never fail to include this hidden gem on my itinerary. The location cannot be better and yet it’s affordable, well-appointed, with a friendly and accommodating staff and ownership. I’ll happily stay here every winter on my way to Naples, FL.

Totally run down, dirty towels, room needed deep cleaning and looks nothing like the picture. Great job of photo shopping. I will not stay there again.

We found this to be pretty dirty inside the room. Our main overhead light didn’t work and the towels and sheets had stains so it just had a grimy feel. I think a deep clean is needed because it was very dirty in all cracks and crevices and there were mystery splatters on a few walls. It was also very loud at night with people talking outside our room. Wouldn’t stay here again. Pool was nice and warm but small. The employees seemed nice but I’d rather have them be mean and stay in a clean hotel.

Older motel right on 41 Tamiami, room was clean but bathroom is tiny. Don't expect any modern aminities, there aren't any. While the wifi was slow and spotty, it least it worked (most of the time), the same thing could not be said about the tv. Not a big deal as downtown Venice offers plenty of entertainment options for the evening. Motel is less than a 10 minute walk from the beach (just a few by car) and has everything close by. Downtown is literally right around the corner. If your looking for just a place to stay and nothing else, this motel offers great value for money. But again, don't expect too much comfort. We had a working mini fridge and (assumingly) a working microwave in the room. AC and fan are noisy but doing what they're supposed to do: cooling down the room. Also, bring your own pillows, the ones on the bed were rock hard. Bed itself was fine. We'll opt for a bit more comfort next time.

The pool was nice. Bed was comfortable. Good place for a short term stay.

Both night stands in rooms had smoke stains on them with loose and broken drawers. Some areas in bathroom looked moldy, blind in bathroom was so dusty you can see them with no problem. Big chair in room look really old and dirty. They definitely need new furniture in this room.

The staff was the best part of the stay. We had a problem with the shower not draining and they fixed it right away. The blankets that we were supposed to use needed to be washed, they smelled horrible. The other occupants seemed to be monthly tenants and some of them were very loud and ignorant. The dip in the pool and laundry facility was excellent.

Some of the residents were very noisy and a little scary . Convenient for restaurants- only few mins walk . Rooms sure need updating - very dated - was like going back to the 70’s

The staff were really friendly. The sheets had blood on them like from bed bugs. A lot of strange people outside and some crazy woman yelling at night cops where showing up randomly didn’t like the atmosphere the beds are not queens they are like twins I will not stay there again

We enjoyed the patio right out the back door of our room, and the pool. Nice little fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room, all at a great price.

Bedding had a musky odor mattress was old and lumpy. Person at front desk was rude and disrespectful. Bath towels had stains on them. Couldn’t wait for daylight to get out of there.

Rented this room for location and price. Arrived at hotel it was not even close to what pictures showed. Room was very small and floors were dirty. Mold in bathroom, paint was peeling, the shower did not accommodate taking a normal shower very small. Sheets were clean but the towels and wash clothes were stained. I wish i could add pictures. The air conditioner cooled the room once we put it down to 67. Outside was very dated and needs to be cleaned up. There was no one in tje office when o cjecled in spoke to manager on the phone and was given a key by a relative of his. Never signed any paper work at check in or check out It was a very disappointing experience.

The room was as clean as possible for as old as it was, had mold in bathroom, walled air cond. Smokers outside room. Bed/pillows hard as rocks. I couldn't sleep all night, Asthma acted up in room. Fine for someone without respiratory issues. Too expensive for the area! We didn't have a choice but we canceled our follow-up reservation during the week. Looking for some where else, doesn't matter the cost. Manager very nice.

Very friendly and loved my room

Great location, clean, safe. Dislikes: I was asked to give up my king size bed for 2 doubles, when I said NO the guy at the counter said “well whoever gets here last gets the double. They only really have 4/5 rooms to rent out, the other 25 rooms I believe are occupied by people who have no home or money for the high rent in the area. Towels were dingy but It is a cheap motel. Staf (1) cleaner was a nice guy that lives on the property. Sat and talk with him most of the night and learned about his situation and why he’s there.

Cute little place. Staff was great. Is not a luxury motel so wasn't expecting that. Furniture a little older. But was just fine for my needs. Cool older motel. Nice big fridge with freezer. Table and chairs. An outside area in back with little grills. Close to the historic Venice area. My only complaint was the built up dirt around door handles ect. and the tile floors. I ended up cleaning them with wipes as my feet would get dirty walking on them. I am sure they mop them but not enough to really get clean. I mentioned that at check out. Windows were very dirty. Everything that really mattered was was fine. Bathroom clean, bed, fridge, table etc. For the price, I was satisfied and would stay again if in the area. After all, I dont need luxury if all I need is a shower and a bed.
