We spent two nights here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, though the carpet was old and made my husband's white socks brown. Bathroom was very clean. Bed was soft but comfortable. There was no functioning ice machine. We were happy how quiet our room was since it is on a busy street. We certainly would stay again.

Really great service. Good help with luggage. We had to change rooms because we needed a 1st floor. We were accomodated immediately when it became available. Karen was great for our check in. Explained everything and got us ice.

The motel was reasonably priced priced. It's a small motel near the university. There is whole foods nearby and many restaurants. It felt safe and the folks in the office were nice.

The room was great. However, it is on a busy tiad with a streetcar. Therefore, there were a lot of noises outside of the hotel. There are no amenities. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great.

I was stuck in a bind for accomodations and the University Inn in Tempe came to the rescue. Very friendly ownership and staff, and my room and bed were comfortable. Despite this motel being built in the 1950's, it has retained a certain amount of charm and is not run down. The price of hotels in this area was off the wall the weekend I was in town, but I felt I had good value for what I paid. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nicely renovated and great price. Renovation should have included new weatherstripping around the doors. I could hear outside noises as if the door was open. Overall, it was a good stay for one night. Michelle, at the front desk was superb during check in and the next morning. Would stay again.

This place appears to have been recently renovated. Rooms are reslly nice, edpecially the bathroom. The staff is friendly snd helpful. My eife needs to catch s plane in the morning and the airport is close by but the flights are not noisy. Restaurants close by and an easy walk.

It's very nicely decorated and the staff is very helpful and nice. It's also in a very good location.

The most lace was nice and cool. Close to Tempe beach park for an easy walk to events. Lots restaurants around. Did have random hair on wall in shower and the sink did not drain well.

Needed a hotel for early flight. Property is an old style “motor court” motel. Great location….. Room has obviously been updated and provided an excellent accommodation. Clean … well appointed… Fair Value. No reservation about staying there again.

The room was very nicely renovated, comfortable and a great shower. Super convenient location and the staff was exceptional. I honestly had never considered this hotel on my monthly work trips before but I will definitely return.

The staff was so nice. Went out of their way to make our stay amazing. The room was so much nicer than I expected. The shower was amazing. The bed was comfy and clean. Will stay again. Perfect location for a downtown tempe romp or a big festival.

My stay was great. The front desk was friendly, room was clean, and cute. One thing; please bring an extension cord or a very long phone charger wire. The lay out of the room was a bit off, because the fridge and microwave were next to the bed, and always serve as the nightstand or dresser was by the door. A bit goofy, but that's my only complaint.

University Inn is a good option if you need an affordable room close to ASU Tempe campus. It’s right on Mill Avenue so expect a lot of traffic by the hotel, especially Friday and Saturday nights. The rooms are small but comfortable with a fridge and a microwave. Don’t let the outside of the building fool you, the rooms are nice and the area is safe. The staff is incredible and super helpful. Parking is very limited and that’s the only drawback. You may have to park on the street b

This hotel is right in the center of the action in downtown Tempe. It’s walking distance to some of my favorite places, such as Casey Moore’s Oyster House. The room was clean, and the staff was so professional. They seemed like they had been trained by the finest hotel. However, this is not the finest hotel. This is a motel. It’s close to the railroad tracks, and it’s close to some bars, and it’s not really quiet. That doesn’t bother me one bit. I live in a big city and I don’t think I could fall asleep if it was totally quiet. The front desk offers free ear plugs, if you need them. But it’s really not that outrageous. In fact, if you can fall asleep, watching a documentary, you won’t hear anything. The trains don’t run all night either. Fall asleep to a movie, and when you wake up to pee, everything will be quiet again. You absolutely cannot beat the value. I go to a hotel to sleep, not for continental breakfast, or anything else. If you want to be in a great area, and you are a no frills person, save a ton of money and go to this place. I will be back for sure.

I only stayed for 1 night because I had a 6am flight outta Phoenix. This motel is ok staff was nice, room was small but clean. The bed seemed old but was still comfortable. As a solo woman I felt mostly safe. Wish there was a 2nd lock on the door besides the deadbolt. Keep in mind when booking a stay here that it is on a very busy loud street so the room can be loud from all the traffic. So if you're sensitive to noise this probably isn't the motel for you or bring ear plugs like I did. Over all I would stay here again if it was just for 1 night but not multiple

The staff were excellent and friendly. Location great for Mill Avenue activities. Inside decor and bathroom fixtures modern and recently upgraded. Newer flooring throughout. Parking a little lacking for the number of rooms. Cost was below surrounding lodging options, but you get what you pay for. Lacked seating in the room, only one hard plastic chair. Primary issue was the mattress. It was so old and broken there was a permanent depression. When I sat on it, it bottomed out on the frame with my legs resting on the railing. The place was full and I couldn’t change rooms, so roughed it out one night. Facility needs all new beds and mattresses for sure. IMO comfortable beds more important than decor upgrades.
