My stay was excellent. Very nice and responsive front people. The room was clean and tidy. A lot of amenities and good WiFi. This is the only hotel we stay at while in the bay so that says a lot about the service here.

I was there for 4 nights; my husband for 6. Business with a little pleasure for him - all pleasure for me. Probably one of my best hotel stays ever. And I have stayed in plenty of high end hotels. The staff were ALL excellent. The breakfast was well received. The room was nothing special but very acceptable. The bar was good and the food it offered very handy. The 24 hour shuttle was greatly appreciated. Minor room for improvements: I found the duvet a little heavy; too hot with it on but too cold with it off. Staff knowledge of the local area could be improved. I know the primary mandate is that of an airport hotel but some maps in the lobby would have been appreciated. I didn't love the plastic cutlery at the bar/restaurant but again, I understand the reasoning. Great proximity - especially by the Harbor Bay ferry but not bad by the BART - to downtown San Francisco.

This property was clean, the staff was pleasant, the room was nice, the breakfast was pretty darn good for a hotel breakfast. The staff was excellent, always had a smile and always able to help if needed. Had one minor issue with the heater, which turned out not to be an issue at all. Just incorrect directions. I would definitely stay here again.

The stay was fine. Staff was nice, but my car got broken into at night and I parked right next to the lobby. Window smashed out and car got rifled through.

When I arrived to my room, it was ice cold, so I tried to turn it on but to no avail. So I called the front desk to report that I didn’t have any heat. The person I spoke with said she would call in the problem to the maintenance man. I waited for over an hour but heard nothing back. Since I had just driven up to Alameda, I was tired and went to bed with nothing offered or done to solve my dilemma. The next morning when I went down for breakfast, the ladies at an adjacent table were talking that they, too, were given a room with no heat. They asked for and were given another room that did have a working thermostat. This is all very unsettling. I have family in Alameda whom I was meeting to celebrate Christmas with. I have come up here several times and always stayed at the Hampton-Oakland hotel. That said, I am likely to be looking for another hotel in the future.

Nice property. Clean. However for the price they charge they should have a security guard in the parking lot between 11:30pm and 5:30am? I understand they have a secured gated area, however it was not offered to me as an option.

Staff tried to charge a $40 early checkin fee at 1pm. This is absurd especially if a room is ready. Will think twice about booking here in future.

Arrived noon after a long flight from Hong Kong, asked a staff if we could check in. We got a cold face andwered repeatealy "check in time is 3pm" ignoring our plead, didn't bother to check availability, sharp contrast to a HK hotel where we were allowed to check in early arrival. Moreover, room cards were not working, issued another set still not working, told to wait for a staff at the door. The staff used a device open the door instantly. Not sure if cards were intentionally disabled because the handy man walked down with us and showed surprised with our experiences but stop talking instantly at the front desk. The day before checking out, we went to front desk to ask why our credit card was charged with an odd amounts in addition to booking sum from Expedia. The staff looked into our info, the phone was incorrect, the two 2 became 3 (the same # used just 3 weeks ago and got greeting text from the same hotel facility) So we asked for the name of the person who checked us in. That person all the sudden showed up. I repeated the same questions but she just replied "I don't understand your questions". I didn't want to talk to her but need her name and receipt. While printing receipt, she pulled a piece of paper and copying our personal info from the computer. Is this an intimidating act to silence us? Her title is Complex Operation Manager if true. no room here to add our troubles using the laundry machines. Other staffs were great and we stayed this hotel many times before.
