Love the inn, the people and the gorgeous view. It is simple and relaxing and close to the parkway and Little Switzerland. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!!

They are under renovation so it’s really not fair but the people working there are great and I imagine by this time next year it might be worth the money as resort prices go.

This property is in transition and under new ownership and management! It needs a lot of updating and renovating. The new management is working on that! So with that said it’s ok not a five star more like a 3 . But the beds, pillows, rooms are clean. This place in a couple of years will be a Gem of the parkway!

Beautiful view, quiet, ample of parking.
Have a nice game and TV room on the second floor.
Front desk was very nice and courteous, shared the areas to visit that we would enjoy.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Skyline Village Inn. The whole place has this quirky quaint vintage charm. Its a perfect spot to stay at right on the Blue Ridge Parkway! The room was exceptionally clean and the bed and pillows extra comfy. The mountain views were spectacular. The owners and staff were very kind and accommodating. It's obvious how much they love the Inn. They gifted me a bottle of champagne for my 50th birthday. The continental breakfast was fresh. You can buy a crystal or some snacks or beverages from the gift shop. I plan on having return visits and wound definitely recommend staying here.

Great staff. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the sunset.

The inn sits on top of a cliff with balconies to sit on to relax and enjoy the view. The owners have been very diligent with renovations to preserve the character and time period.

First time up here, came to do the Diamondback I wasn't exactly sure where to stay I ended up staying here by chance, when I got there the outside didn't really look like much I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped inside and even I got to my room, this place is conveniently located just steps away from the Blue ridge parkway and the views it allows you to have are phenomenalspectacular views

Bed was softer than I liked but I would stay again!

I can't say enough good things about this place and the staff! The views were spectacular. Rooms were quaint and clean. The location felt so far away from the downtown area, but was just a short drive from anything you needed. If we are ever in the area again, we will most definitely be back!

This property takes you back in time a bit. There’s some great history behind it. The balcony and the views are amazing! The couple who runs the Inn are very friendly and super helpful. Definitely recommend.

Stayed there with my girlfriend cause I wanted to take her to Little Switzerland for her birthday. Nice place to stay. The owners are very nice and go above to please their guests. The place is a little out dated but hey, it's the mountains! The bed was extremely comfortable and the continental breakfast top notch. The restaurant is closed for remodeling but there are plenty of places close by. I would highly recommend!

We understood that it was a "work in progress" for the new owner. The restaurant was being overhauled and expected to open in about a month. Views were amazing! We would come back - especially after hearing the plans for upgrades.

I can honestly say, my husband and I will be going back. The kindness shown to us was greatly appreciated and the hospitality of the inn keepers was great. Was an older inn but very well taken care of, very nice, clean. The full breakfast we had was delicious. The weather conditions weren't exactly what you would like but the care from the staff excellent. Would highly recommend this place.

It is a clean, vintage inn. It has great views and the staff are helpful and friendly. It’s not far off the Blue Ridge Parkway so that is why we stayed here. We were told about dinner if we wanted to eat there for supper. We were not informed if WiFi was offered or not, and not sure about a continental breakfast. But since my Keurig was full of coffee grinds I didn’t have coffee in the room but upon checkout I was offered a to go coffee and if I wanted any breakfast but we were already on our way out. There is not a microwave in the room so make note in case you wanted to heat up leftovers. We did not sleep well. The bed felt like our feet were higher than our head so it was different. The floors are original and a very pretty hardwood so they do creak and pop when people walk up and down the hall and we heard knocking and movement all night and we were on the upper level. It’s an ok place to stay.

The hosts Matt and Jake were fantastic! So welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and the views of the hills from my room were breathtaking! Also loved making new friends in the dining room. It was set up in a very welcoming atmosphere. I loved staying at Skyline Valley Inn and would highly recommend for someone wanting rustic charm with gracious hospitality.

We were there for two nights. The innkeepers Mitch & Marla made us feel welcomed. Had both breakfast & dinner there twice. Outstanding. Mitch definitely knows how to cook. Great location with incredible views of the mountains.

I liked the location and the simplicity of the restaurant. No menu, just are you eating with them or not. Food was good and the amount was plenty for anyone. Breakfast is not to be missed.
This is an older style Inn, if you require modern glass and concrete, you may be disappointed. I would stay there again.

A wonderful place to stay. Mitch and Marla are top-shelf!

This is a very old property with squeaky doors and squeaky floors and ceilings so you hear everybody around you. The rooms are very small and not many high-tech amenities. But they do have electric car charging stations in the parking lot which was surprising and they work very well. The couple that manages the property are very friendly and helpful.

Mitch and Marla made our stay extraordinary! They are one heck of a team and always one step ahead. Hospitality on steroids! They certainly know how to bring people together, we had an awesome time with the other guests at the Inn. Can’t say enough about how awesome Mitch and Marla are, we felt we were saying goodbye to long time friends when we left. The Inn is situated on the side of the mountain with phenomenal views. Very cozy and the home cooking and service by Mitch and Marla was wonderful! Thank you guys for making our stay so memorable!

Disappointed the restaurant was closed on Tues nights. I wish I had known that when booking this property.

The owner personally greeted us in the parking lot. Very happy with this beautiful property. Owners bent over backwards to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Will be coming back next spring.
Lots of ladies and well manered gentlemen on motorcycles also stayed here.
