We loved our stay here clean and comfortable. The most amazing staff always helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back.

Property was okay even though the facilities were quite out dated. While we were there the poolbar was under maintenance for 4 days and the kitchen had a limited menu for 4 days and we were told via a letter stuck to our room door the night before.
Staff are great

Our stay at Club Raro was a bit disappointing. With not a great choice of places to eat outside the hotel it was inconvenient that the kitchen was closed for a few days and only pizzas and snacks were available. The staff were very nice but the whole complex could do with some updating and some TLC.

Pros:
Food and beverages were made with love. All food was delicious as were the cocktails and drinks.
Staff were AAA couldn’t fault their friendliness and exemplary customer service. Very welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we were happy.
The resort continues to be the renovation stages and there are some lovely bright areas.
Cons:
Our 1st room no3 should not be used as a guest room. It is dark, no natural light and like a cave. We asked to be changed to a more suitable room and this was done without question by the manager on duty Ben. He also gave us some wifi, much appreciated.
There was no tv service. I know we don’t go away to watch tv but there is down time and to be able to relax in your room or have some down time a tv is appreciated.
The pool bar was closed for 3 days during bf our stay. A major choice for us to stay her was the pool bar feature.
The restaurant closed for meals and it was snack menu only for our remaining 3 days, this also included a reduced breakfast that was already
very minimal.
One day while at the pool me. With chainsaws came and trimmed all the coconut trees. We were not advised of this, there was debris, sawdust, coconuts hitting the ground and quite and unsafe environment.
Loved the adult only aspect made some great new friends and loved the staff. Unsure if we’d return again. The beach is also almost unusable and it’s more than the 5 minute walk to town that had been mentioned.

It was nice to get in early after 24 hours of ugly travel. Loved the ocean front room! However, our unit was not cleaned well. There was long black hair that stuck to my husband’s feet and neither of us has black hair or long! The sink and counter, made of glass, which is cool, in the bathroom needs attention…it slants down, coming out of the wall, looks like it’s been leaned on. The sink wasn’t put in level and the faucet doesn’t have the screen on it so if you turn the water on it sprays out of the bowl sink. The door inside the bathroom is dirty around the handle and the floor is dirty in the corner behind the door. But a nice stay for one night%

Nice pool and poolside bar. Friendly staff.

Quite expensive for what it was. Rooms were lovely, bur bathrooms quite dated and alot of old mold in the silicone etc. Quite musty and damp sue to humidity. I didnt think it was worth what i paid. When my friends paid less for an entire Villa at another resort which was 4star

Good clean place on the North side of the island.

Food was average our bed linen was not changed in two weeks. As our stay progressed the pool got dirtier and dirtier until it was eventually shut down. Paid to use outdated washer and dryer neither washed or dried clothing. The whole place is in need of a revamp.

Staff are absolutely amazing, go above and beyond. Highly recommend 👌

Very small pool. Still waiting for our Christmas dinner which never appeared after 2 and a half hours, all we got was sorry? No have a drink on us or anything. Staff had half a smile. One lady asked for a menu while sat around the pool and was told they're over there . Very rude. Will not be returning here.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Club Raro.
Things we liked best:-
1) Staff - Papa Tom, Sue, Imer, Donna, Easter, George & Nancy plus others whose names we can’t recall.
2) Dining - great food at reasonable prices.
3) Foyer, restaurant, pool and swim up pool bar.
4) Handy location with short drive to Ava Rua and airport.
5) Comfortable bed, safe, tea & coffee in room.
Things we least liked:-
1) Proximity of room to reception with loud conversations in early morning hours which we complained about.
2) Beach covered in coral & rocks.
3) Shower was very small in room.
Overall would definitely recommend and would return.

The staff here are amazing. I had an ocean view room with a very comfortable bed, good quality linen. The other furnishings were dated but the view made up for that. I was here on my first solo trip since my husband passed away earlier thos uear and felt very safe and welcome at Clu Raro. Thank you

Lovely adults only resort. Not too big and very friendly atmosphere. Loved the pool with bar and being able to swim in the lagoon right in front of the resort. Good breakfast and restaurant food was good with huge portions . Reception staff always helpful and all the staff very friendly.

Didn't like the size of the shower. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Club Raro is a stunning smaller resort right on the waters edge. It was much more relaxed and enjoyable than the larger resorts. The Whale watching was AMAZING.The whales passed by everyday. The staff are so lovely and make you feel like family. The swim up bar was much enjoyed. So glad they made this resort adults only!!

Great staff, boutique little resort with a fantastic view of passing whales which was an added bonus. Limited choice of vegetarian dishes but much better than other resorts we visited. Definately visit again.

Lovely beachfront with outstanding views. We enjoyed watching the whales breach just beyond the reef. The grounds are immaculate with gorgeous flowers and tropical plants.
The pool is not heated so too chilly to swim.

it was nice to be adults only. The pool was nice but just too cool when we were there - more heating of the pool would be nice.
The staff were friendly.

Great location, close to town. Good snorkelling from the resort, and sun lounges available in complex. Restaurant food was delicious and good value for money.

Overall the grounds and provided facilities were excellent. The staff really looked after us… so helpful, friendly and kind. They really go the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. The standard of meals/food/drink at the restaurant and bar was high. (I would have liked a dark beer variety available)
The “Standard Room”… was very standard, however. While generally clean and tidy, the bathroom finish: tile grouting and sealant round the shower was mouldy and dirty looking. There is a trip hazard in a small step between floor level of bathroom to main area. Also outside the tiling on the path was not completed… presenting another trip hazard.

I liked them gardens and walkways to the rooms.
My suitcase was left in Auckland, it arrived the next day, but, l had to call the front desk to see if it had arrived, it had, but had been sitting at reception for about an hour before it was delivered to my room. I asked about renting a car, but, was told there were none to be had, l actually went to a car rental place and got one.
The room was cleaned and tidy, but, when l made the booking, l asked for 2 single beds, when l got to the room, it was. Queen size bed, as l was traveling with a friend, we required two single beds, that was disappointing.
The food was very good, huge portions though. Breakfast was disappointing, there was not a lot of tropical fruit, the only fruit was it looked like tinned pears and peaches, brown banana’s and some sort of melon.

Just needed a 1 night place to rest while waiting for our next flight to a smaller Island from Rarotonga. Staff was friendly, accommodating and breakfast was great. Did not even know that was included but it was such a nice surprise. Saw whales in the water in the morning, so beautiful.
