Alpaca and goat feeding was a hit with the family. It was a good experience for my son to collect eggs for breakfast. Nice and quiet night. We didn't even notice the other families that were staying there. Excellent experience and stay. My son is already asking for a return visit!

We stay during the Ester holiday, the room is not so clean, bathroom light is not working, and no tissue paper, the mop was broken. However, had fun in the swimming pool and feeding the animals.

Fantastic location and friendly staff. Amazing to feed all the animals. Very relaxing. Only disappointment was the indoor pool was not heated when we were there.

Not any exciting activities. No hreakfast provided. There wasnt much activities for kids other than alpaca feeding. Very disapponted.

Some spider webs beside the curtains not clean. London bus was an excitement for my boy. Very cold inside the train cartridge.

I saw the converted train carriage online and thought my kids would love it being huge train fans. Our getaway did not disappoint. The kids loved the train and the animals, as well as the swimming pool. My husband and i loved the area and thought the train was great and very spacious. Staff were very hospitable. We would definately visit again :)

Fabulous experience. Peaceful and tranquil, a great weekend break. Farm animals add to the experience with knowledgeable staff to enhance the stay.

The refurbished train carriage accommodation was a unique accommodation experience. Kids loved the London bus bunk bed. They also had a whale of a time feeding the alpacas and the goats. Great outdoor time and accommodation experience for city dwellers.

We love the peacefulness of this retreat. The verandah views are pretty and the cabins are well fitted out with comfy couches and wood fired burners. The brekky basket is generous too. All up this is a wonderful weekender which we will surely return to.

Madison's was in a beautiful remote location and provided plenty of free activities to keep both adults and children busy all day. We stayed the night in a spa cabin which was spacious and spotless upon arrival and the included breakfast hamper was delicious. The only negative was the early checkout time of 10.30am. Not being early risers it felt a bit rushed in the morning which was a shame as it would have been nice to relax and enjoy the scenery a bit more before we left.

This was a family getaway to celebrate a special birthday. We had 5 cottages/train carriages so we had space, comfort and scenic views. There's a large games room with tv, DVDs, fireplace, large table, kitchen etc. coupled with the peaceful surroundings and alpaca feeding, it was a memorable weekend.

Fiona greeted us enthusiastically with our breakfast basket filled with goodies. She has also left us some delicious freshly baked cupcakes. Farm animals, quiet location, heated pool helped us to relax. The cabin was clean, spacious, and supplied with all we need for cooking a good meal & a good night's rest. The only thing was the insect net seals on the windows had gaps, so at night time all sorts of insects made their way in while we were cooking. But otherwise an excellent stay. Recommend for everyone.

Staff were very friendly the breakfast hamper supplied was a delicious farm breakfast perfect for the setting. Beautiful surroundings & friendly visitors

We stayed 2 nights. Boys loved the bus bunk beds and the animals! Gorgeous views all over the place. Brekky hamper is a treat. Recommend checking out the botantic gardens, the view from the cafe verandah is amazing.

A retreat in the Mountains, away from pesky 'real world' interferences of internet, email, phone calls, texts etc. Blissfully peaceful, rustic, but lovely cabins, lively alpacas, glorious birdsong, beautiful surrounds. The staff are lovely and friendly, and will supply basic foodstuffs (bread, milk, cheese, bacon) on requests, as well as eggs daily from their free range hens. This is a wonderful place to unwind and relax. There's plenty to do locally as well. Highly recommended.

Anyone who leaves a negative review on this hotel was either very unlucky to have chosen a stay on a rare off day or are just natural whingers. The trains were a huge hit with the kids while being very comfortable for the adults as well. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Feeding the alpacas and goats was a highlight. You can't go wrong with a stay here.
