Great luxury apartment for the family, very safe and clean. Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A bit far from ´the action’ of district 1, but there’s plenty of taxis and lots to enjoy in up-and-coming district 2.

Stayed 5 nights in the Premier 2 bedroom on the 18th floor with my wife and 2 kids. View was great from the apartment and it was comfortable and well equipped. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed. Special thanks to front desk staff Dennis for his hospitality and great service. Apartment was well maintained and spotless. Thanks to housekeeping staff Ngoc and Yloang. There is a grocery and convenience store in the same building and a couple of malls nearby. Hotel provides a free shuttle service to various attractions in the morning. Breakfast is provided at the Starbucks cafe via vouchers provided by the hotel. Food quality is good. My family and I enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

It is also convenient that there is a supermarket when we just go downstairs. A truly good place to stay when you visited Ho Chi Minh with a family.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment. Room is clean, spacious, modern and the got an awesome gym. Check in from receptionist can be improve as i felt the receptionist not very polite. Location is not convenient.

The stay was as expected. The apartment was excellent with the washing machine/dryer which is a must for a family. I t also had swimming pool with separate gym area. The only problem was one working lift for the whole building so sometimes we had to wait a while for the lift to turn up.

The access road from town centre to the hotel apartment block was closed due to construction work. Every time we came back to the hotel, the taxi driver had difficulty to find alternative routes and it was rather frustrating. The shuttle bus service has also become very limited, only once in the morning to go out to town and none return. Other than this, we found our stay was quite pleasant.

New hotel quite far from the city hard. Decent service and customer service. Ridiculous breakfast in a dirty café nearby the building. All the area is in constructio, dust everywhere and continuous noisy during the night. Not for families with children, maybe for business, for sure not before the construction will be finished: at least 1 year, considering that this is Vietnam. I will never ever will be back.

Expat neighbourhood so its clean and safe. Supermarket and deli just round the corner. The property is big and well equipped for a family to move in and just get their lives going.

Was the beat value for money as it had so many features and was relaxing. The children didn't want to go out but just stay at the hotel. We ate from the sports bar restaurant lots. We didn't mind the drive into the city, often not costing more than 150,000 doing Great time and will definitely go again

The hotel is spacious but the service is bad. Slow check out process Because they have to send someone to my room to verified that I didn't take anything before I can leave. They have a price list for every item in the hotel room. When I check out, one of the bathroom towel was underneath the bed and they couldn't find it and didn't let me check out until they find it. If I have enough money to pay for the hotel, why would they think I steal a towel that ain't worth anything. This hotel don't even trust their guess and think everyone would steal from them. Aside from the bad service, this hotel is out in the middle of no where with limited transportation service. Free shuttle run only 2-3 time in the morning not in the evening or at night.

Nothing else to say but a wonderful place to stay. I could live without the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh, but if I come back, I have no problem with saying I will stay here. Friendly staff, very nice accommodations, good location. I loved it. 5 stars.

Very nice fully-equipped hotel. Nice workout facility and huge outdoor pool. A little out of the heart of the city, but good shopping and restaurants nearby. Watch out for crooked taxi drivers (button in pants leg used to run up meter). If you experience one, refuse to pay more than typical fare.

we spent 8 days in Somerset Vista in Dec 2014 in a 2 bedroom suite. The only disappointing aspect to this experience was the hotel staff could not accommodate any request we made when we booked the hotel in Oct. The hotel is also far away from the city centre so allow time for travel everyday.

Most of the existing reviews here were accurate.-Room is very spacious and new.-Very large swimming pool in the complex. Comfortable gym.-Modern, simple and practical decor and furniture.-Easy to keep clean.-Not too far from the town center but traffic makes it a bit of a hassle to get around.-Cab drivers do not know the building. Cab drivers in Vietnam use the fact that they don't know the road/location as a right/excuse to drive around and charge more rather than their fault. There is no effort to be honest on their part.-There are enough good restaurants in the surrounding area if you know how to look as it is a concentrated residential area for expats.-Nothing much within walking distance since the busy highway loops around the buildings. There are a market, a cafe and a restaurant under the buildings. Market is helpful; cafe is passable. I did not try the restaurant as some reviews were negative.-It happens to be the second Ascott property that I have a good experience with and possibly will be on my "reliable name list".

My partner, friend and I chose to stay here and it was brilliant like. Rooms were very clean and had great facilities. Out favourite place we stayed accommodation wise in Vietnam. It was about a 5-10min drive from district one but there are plenty if buses and taxis. Found it useful having a supermarket next door too. Highly recommend

This is my second stay at this lovely place (last stay was in October last year). This is a great place to stay if you want to be away from the main area of HCMC. Somerset Vista is located in District 2 and this time around we found the cab drivers were more aware of it's location. Cost to District 1 is around $5-7 US one way. I suggest you take a business card to show the driver when you need to return home as this will help them locate the place (most can't speak much English but can read it). The area is fairly new and still being developed. There are more shops nearby and a new sports bar is about to open. The location is safe and has an ANZ ATM near the downstairs area. The Shalome coffee shop downstairs is a must to visit as the staff are lovely and the coconut and chicken curry pies are devine. Supermarket downstairs stocks all you need to self cater or you can visit the newly opened Big C shopping centre just down the road (get a cab though as trying to cross the Hanoi Highway is not a good idea). The rooms are large, very well appointed and very tidy. Great appliances/technology and all that you need for a family of 4. Rooms are serviced daily by friendly staff. Door service and reception staff are equally polite and eager to please as are the tour desk staff. Excellent free Wi-Fi which covers you inside and by the pool area. The pools are lovely but we aware staff will try to tell you not to swim in board shorts (if you are a women). Love this place!
